Agenda 21? Family Farm under new attack

Now why is Obama coming after the family farm? By what right and for what purpose? Who is going to enforce it? By what right will they have to enter private property to enforce the “new rules’? See our earlier post:Agenda 21 The ultimate plan for you and the world

By reclassifying all farm vehicles and implements as Commercial Vehicles, the federal government will now be able to claim regulatory control over the estimated 800,000 farm workers in America, at the same time, overriding the rights of the states.

Some of the additional paperwork and regulation required:

  • Detailed logs would need to be kept by all drivers – hours worked, miles traveled, etc.
  • Vehicles would have to display DOT numbers
  • Drivers would need to pass a physical as well as a drug test – every two years.

The Blaze:

Is the US government starting to implement the policies of the United Nation’s plan for global management of people and resources known as Agenda 21?  The latest efforts out of the Department of Transportation (DOT) seem to indicate this is happening. And they are starting by targeting America’s farming communities with costly and oppressive regulations.

In Late May, the DOT proposed a rule change for farm equipment, and if it this allowed to take effect, it will place significant regulatory pressure on small farms and family farms all across America – costing them thousands of dollars and possibly forcing many of them out of business. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), part of the Department of Transportation (DOT), wants new standards that would require all farmers and everyone on the farm to obtain a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) in order to operate any farming equipment. The agency is going to accomplish this by reclassifying all farm vehicles and implements as Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs).

House Panel Approves Internet Snooping Bill

What are these Republicans thinking?  The intention was to catch Porn. Nothing to do with Terrorism. What are we fighting for anyway? Do they really want us to live in a police state? Have they no thought as to what this information can be used for? House Judiciary committee no less
Read this disgusting piece of ignorance. And CNet says a ” victory for conservatives”???

Internet providers would be forced to keep logs of their customers’ activities for one year–in case police want to review them in the future–under legislation that a U.S. House of Representatives committee approved today.
It represents “a data bank of every digital act by every American” that would “let us find out where every single American visited Web sites,” said Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California, who led Democratic opposition to the bill
A last-minute rewrite of the bill expands the information that commercial Internet providers are required to store to include customers’ names, addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers, bank account numbers, and temporarily-assigned IP addresses, some committee members suggested. By a 7-16 vote, the panel rejected an amendment that would have clarified that only IP addresses must be stored.

The 19 to 10 vote represents a victory for conservative Republicans, who made data retention their first major technology initiative after last fall’s elections, and the Justice Department officials who have quietly lobbied for the sweeping new requirements, a development first reported by CNET.

Obama has secret plan for Debt Crisis

We are saved!! Obama has a secret plan. Everyday, we are so blessed because one never knows what our leader may be able to pull out of his magical hat.

Chief of Staff William Daley told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer last night that Obama has issued a secret plan for solving the debt crisis.

From the transcript:

BLITZER:  So what you’re saying is the president did present a plan to the speaker, John Boehner.

DALEY:  Yes.

BLITZER:  But – but he didn’t…

DALEY:  Right.

BLITZER:  – make it public.

DALEY:  No, because there’s… both the speaker and – and the president had agreed and – that these sort of negotiations do not happen in public.

Read more at the  Washington Examiner and poor Leader….

And our fearless leader is totally sleepless..thinking about 2012 no doubt.

(Washington Examiner) As John Boehner spent the night trying to wrestle members into place to support his debt ceiling deal, Valerie Jarret reminded reporters yesterday that it was President Obama who was losing sleep over the issue.

“He’s getting absolutely no sleep. He’s working tirelessly, meeting with his economic team, doing a lot of outreach, exploring all kinds of possibilities for compromise,” Jarrett said.

CA Jerry Brown signs State DREAM Act

Well now, isn’t this just swell. We are no longer a country of laws. California is in a world of its own. Coming our way soon you betcha.

Governor Jerry Brown signed the California Dream Act this past Monday, giving undocumented college students access to privately funded financial aid. Assemblyman Gil Cedillo, the author of the bill, is already seeking to expand the bill to give these students access to state-funded tuition aid,

In June 1996 the Communist Party USA paper People’s Weekly World held a tribute event in Los Angeles for unionists Jerry Acosta and Gil Cedillo.

The Southern California Friends of the People’s Weekly World tribute to two of Los Angeles’ finest labor leaders, Jerry Acosta and Gilbert Cedillo, became a dynamic rally of elected officials, activists, labor and community leaders in solidarity with labor struggles and in the fight to defeat the ultra-right in November…

Cedillo has championed drivers licenses for illegal aliens, and has twice (2006,2011) introduced a version of the DREAM Act into California State Assembly.

Cedillo announced the introduction of the California Dream Act with a “coalition of business, education and labor leaders” including , Javier Nunez, President, Executive Board, Laborers International Union, Local 300, socialist affiliated Kent Wong, Director, UCLA Labor Center, the National Council of La Raza, Nancy Ramirez, Western Regional Counsel, MALDEF, and David Huerta, Regional Vice President, SEIU United Service Workers West. NATO kicks butt: Asks Gaddafi to please give up – we want to go home

Is anyone interested in news regarding Libya? I mean with the debt crisis or whatever it is, news regarding our wars has all but disappeared. But hey, I am game. So let me give it a whirl. Our fearless Zero leader is nowhere to be heard on his one of many foreign screw ups. Now he asks Russia to help bail his sorry a** out on this one. So much for leading from behind. A real game changer.

Months earlier reports fromAl Jazeera were quoting Mike Mullen as follows:

Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the US joint chiefs of staff, has said the military operation in Libya called for by the UN Security Council is not aimed at regime change – adding that a “stalemate” could well exist, leaving Muammar Gaddafi in power.

They continue to report that a stalemate appears, so it makes it worthy to continue searching for more info concerning this one of our many wars. Here we go:

New NATO Ultimatum to Gaddafi: Give up, ‘Cause We Want to Leave

NATO is seeking an urgent exit strategy from Libya that will end the fighting and decide the future of embattled leader Moammar Gadhafi, even if that means letting him stay in the country though out of power, it emerged Tuesday after British and French foreign ministers met in London.

British Foreign Secretary William Hague and French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said NATO and even members of the opposition Transitional National Council wouldn’t oppose Gadhafi staying in Libya as long as he gave up power.

In the only Libyan voice of dissent reported so far, activist Soliman Albrassi, living in London, said allowing Gadhafi to stay in Libya would be a recipe for civil war, the BBC said.

Hague and Juppe received support for the proposal from former British Foreign Secretary Malcolm Rifkind, who said it would be important to avoid a “blood bath in Tripoli” — seen as a likely outcome if a final military push to the Libyan capital triggered close combat.

Hague said: “What happens to Gadhafi is ultimately a question for the Libyans … What is absolutely clear, as Alain (Juppe) has said, is that whatever happens, Gadhafi must leave power. He must never again be able to threaten the lives of Libyan civilians nor to destabilize Libya once he has left power.” More at SGT Report

Russia to help us out with our screw up in Libya:

The Hindu:

Russia played host to Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi’s top diplomat in Moscow, highlighting its role as an honest broker in the Libya crisis.

During an hour-long meeting with Libya’s Foreign Minister Abdelati al-Obeidi late on Wednesday Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed “the topmost task” was to stop bloodshed and embark on a political solution that must be steered by the United Nations and the African Union, said the Foreign Ministry in a statement.

Libya’s top diplomat said Tripoli would welcome “any Russian role in the peaceful settlement of the Libyan conflict” that should be “equally acceptable for all Libyans, including the opposition in Benghazi”.

Mr. Al-Obeidi is the highest-ranking Tripoli official to visit Moscow since the conflict began. Representatives of the Libyan opposition also came to Moscow two months ago. In recent weeks President Dmitry Medvedev’s envoy for Africa has met both rebels in Benghazi and top officials in Tripoli. Mr. Medvedev said earlier this week that compromise between the warring sides was “attainable”.

Online Privacy bill moving through Congress -UPDATE APPROVED

House panel expands and approves Internet snooping bill! For update go to new post: HERE

Beware of the wolf in Sheep’s Clothes. Anyone want to bet this will sail on by without anyone really thinking about the consequences? This sounds oh so good. But do we really want to give this Government Carte Blanche the ability to snoop around in our e-mails? What a combo having these two on the same page, and me joining the ACLU on this.

Reps. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.) earlier introduced H.R. 1981 the “Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act of 2011.”

a) In General- Section 2703 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:

‘(h) Retention of Certain Records- A provider of an electronic communication service or remote computing service shall retain for a period of at least 18 months the temporarily assigned network addresses the service assigns to each account, unless that address is transmitted by radio communication (as defined in section 3 of the Communications Act of 1934).’.

.

Today, the House Judiciary Committee is voting whether to approve  legislation that would create a sweeping new provision requiring Internet companies (email, cloud, social networking, and more) to collect and retain hundreds of millions of records about the identity of online users. The bill, HR 1981, the “Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act of 2011,” – if only it were that narrow! – is a direct assault on the privacy of Internet users and overlooks some key fixes that could actually help to address the very real problem of child exploitation.

We all want to catch those responsible for sexually exploiting children. But right now, the government is already taking advantage of outdated electronic privacy laws, like the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) of 1986, to access a treasure trove of information collected by online companies about who we are, what we do, and where we go, often without a warrant and with little oversight. The provisions of this bill would exacerbate these problems, making more records available and identifiable for even longer periods of time.

Yes indeed, contact your member of Congress today to let them know that online privacy is important to you.

White House Press beats on Carney for over 10 Minutes

Could it be? The White House Press Corps is getting weary of the Big Lie– Obama has no plan for the deficit issue. Fox’s new Ed Henry starts the smack down, and amazingly, others join in. Even NBC. It takes a few minutes for it to get rare… but it happened.

White House press asks Carney a simple question: why not release the plan?

Or the lack thereof. After bobbing-and-weaving for nine minutes, Carney finally says what everybody knows: The president won’t put his plan on paper because he doesn’t want it to become “politically charged” before a compromise can be reached. In other words, you’ve got to pass it to find out what’s in it:

UPDATE: So POTUS doesn’t have a plan, as such. The Republicans, for their part, have several. But the president’s senior advisers are recommending that he veto the latest. Take a look at the Veto link above for a chuckle!
