Matt Taibbi best known for his twitter files, has been making the media rounds. Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday Morning Futures interview is worth a look. I have caught several of his stops and he is an interesting guy. A Bernie for President fan, he is willing to stretch himself and take a hard look at the Democrat party. What he sees he acknowledges is “terrifying.”

Even better, Taibbi in the second interview I have included, let’s us know that Debbi Wasserman Schultz was the most profitable in stock trading as a member of Congress. A report with sardonic humor; an interview that nails it as well as we learn that more Twitter files have been released that are explosive, but the media has moved on and simply zero reporting.

Incredible to be that Debbie Wasserman Schultz had the gall to accuse and berate Matt Taibbi about making money Yet she herself is using legalized insider stock trading.

Taibbi led the team of journalists who reported on the inner workings of Twitter and how government agencies pressured the platform to censor content online. They were criticized as “so-called journalists” and accused of cherry-picking information by Democrats during a congressional hearing about the Twitter Files.

Taibbi was known for his long career with Rolling Stone before he moved to Substack. He has written multiple New York Times bestsellers and won the 2008 National Magazine Award for columns and commentary.

What do you call it when a disinformation czar is the arbiter of disinformation? A Nina Jankowicz. The new Minister of Truth. They are lifting ideas directly from the pages of 1984 now.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas testified Wednesday that the Department of Homeland Security is creating a “Disinformation Governance Board” to combat misinformation ahead of the 2022 midterms.

“the focus of the new board would be to stop the spread of misinformation in minority communities, including election misinformation ahead of the 2022 midterms.”  Biden solves this problem as we learn he just signed an executive order to set up a voter registration push including “Drop Boxes” at all Federal Public Housing Facilities..more at the end of this post.

Every single Republican should be making Nina Jankowicz’s appointment as head of The Ministry of Truth central to their campaign. The Democrats are destroying America and now that the country at large sees it, they’re going after American democracy.

HUD sent guidance to executive directors of more than 3,000 public housing authorities managing about 1.2 million housing units, providing advice on “running a PHA–initiated voter registration drive.”

In government parlance, PHA stands for public housing agency.

Federal housing officials also advised the local agencies on how to apply to become a “voter registration agency under the National Voter Registration Act,” and how to set up drop boxes for ballots on the premises.

The guidance from HUD to local public housing agencies marks the first time in over 25 years that the federal government affirmed that local agencies receiving federal tax dollars may get involved in voter registration, according to the National Low Income Housing Coalition, a nonprofit public housing advocacy group.

Is Chess racist because white goes first?

 

This is bad news for people who are into chess.

Croatian chess player Antonio Radic (aka Agadmator) had his popular chess videos blocked by Google’s YouTube due to unspecified “harmful and dangerous” content.

Computer scientists at Carnegie Mellon suspect Radic’s discussion of ‘black vs. white’ with a grandmaster accidentally triggered YouTube’s AI filters.

Running simulations with software trained to detect hate speech, they found more than 80 percent of chess videos flagged for hate speech lacked any—but did include terms like ‘black,’ ‘white,’ ‘attack’ and ‘threat.’

Chess Is Racist Because White Moves First

The notion that somehow the ancient pastime of chess is inherently racist due to the rule of white pieces moving first has been broached on an Australian taxpayer-funded national radio network.

 

The controversy arose when the national broadcaster ABC proposed a radio slot on the matter Tuesday and sought an interview with John Adams, an economist who represented the Australian Chess Federation in 2015.

“The ABC have taken the view that chess is RACIST given that white always go first,” he said.

Adams further explained the ABC was looking for a chess offical to comment on whether the rules should be altered.

“Trust the taxpayer funded national broadcaster to apply ideological Marxist frameworks to anything & everything in Australia,” he added.

Scotland’s oldest Museum embarks to “decolonize” Scottish society. The position? “Curator of Discomfort.” I thought the Scots had more sense than this. But it is not just this museum. No, the purge is moving through Britain. No doubt it has or soon will arrive in the United States.

It would be more efficient to burn down museums than to appoint vandals as curators. But progressives don’t just want to destroy Western Civilization; they want to defile it first. Scotland’s oldest public museum has created the position of ‘Curator of Discomfort’ to take the museum out of its “institutional comfort zone” and confront historical and modern-day “white supremacy”.

On Monday, the University of Glasgow’s Hunterian Museum, which was founded in 1807, announced the creation of the post on social media, tapping left-wing activist Zandra Yeaman to head up the woke project.

In a blog post explaining the Curator of Discomfort position, Ms Yeaman said that it would focus on “looking at ways outside of traditional museum authority to explore the interpretation of contested collections and to design and deliver a series of museum interventions that takes the museum out of the institutional comfort zone”.

Yeaman added that she will embark on “exploring white supremacy as an economic and cultural system in which white western ideals control the power of the text, the material resources and ideas of cultural superiority”.

The newly installed curator went on to say that her goals will extend beyond merely attacking Scottish heritage — which she claimed honours people with “racist ideology” — but will also seek to dismantle “the structural (and institutional) racism that is perpetuated today and transforming comfortable narratives to include the uncomfortable unvarnished truth”.

She concluded by saying that in her efforts, she will seek to partner with “anti-racist activists, communities, academics, heritage institutions and heritage professionals” to “decolonise” Scottish society.

Last year, Edinburgh University removed the name of 18th century Scottish Enlightenment philosopher David Hume from one of its buildings over his now politically incorrect opinions on race.

The woke purge has extended throughout British academia, heritage bodies, and museums alike. In August, for example, the British Museum removed the bust of its founder, Sir Hans Sloane, from its pedestal amid BLM-inspired outrage over his ties to the slave trade.

The Natural History Museum followed suit, launching a review into supposedly “offensive” and “problematic” collections, including exotic birds collected by English naturalist Charles Darwin.

2 plus 2 equals 4 only because of ‘Western Imperialism’

 

Brittany Marshall’s tweet went viral after she claimed during the course of a discussion about racism, “Nope the idea of 2 + 2 equaling 4 is cultural and because of western imperialism/colonization, we think of it as the only way of knowing.”

Marshall, who includes her pronouns in her bio, lists her occupation as “teacher, scholar, social justice change agent” and apparently is studying for a PhD at Rutgers.

In this case, Marshall appears to be arguing that maths itself is racist, an argument that has been made by numerous social justice warriors down the years, some of whom question why ‘Western Math’ is in common use and not other methods such as the way Aborigines count (maybe because we’re western and not Aborigine).

The notion that 2+2 might not = 4 is of course lifted from George Orwell’s 1984, when the one party state was able to torture dissidents into believing it could equal 5.

Although each method has a mistake but it’s your task to identify the mistake. Library collections continue to promote and proliferate whiteness with their very existence and the fact that they are physically taking up space in our libraries. They are paid for using money that was usually ill-gotten and at the cost of black and brown lives via the prison industrial complex, the spoils of war, etc.

Libraries filled with mostly white collections indicates that we don’t care about what POC think, we don’t care to hear from POC themselves, we don’t consider POC to be scholars, we don’t think POC are as valuable, knowledgeable, or as important as white people. To return to the Harris quote from above, library collections and spaces have historically kept out Black, Indigenous, People of Color as they were meant to do and continue to do.

One only has to look at the most recent incident at the library of my alma mater, Barnard College, where several security guards tried to kick out a Black Columbia student for being Black.

History Majors at Universities may soon go the way of the Dinosaur

The University of Wisconsin — Stevens Point could soon drop several majors, including history, because of students’ lack of interest, according to a cost-benefit analysis recently proposed by UW-SP Chancellor Bernie Patterson.

The chancellor proposed that the university “must become a new kind of regional university” by adapting its current programming to better suit the surrounding community and the educational demand of incoming students.

One of the latest legislative proposals from California aims to make government the arbiter of truth.

Senate Bill 1424 would create an advisory group on “fake news” to work with social media companies to weed out what the government deems incorrect information on the internet.

This legislation, if passed, would require California’s attorney general to create the group, consisting of “social media providers, civil liberties advocates, and First Amendment scholars,” to study and mitigate the problem of spreading false information.

According to CBS Sacramento, even the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a left-leaning nonprofit civil liberties organization, called the legislation “flawed” and “misguided.”

This bill mirrors the trend in Europe, where government commissions to police speech and the news are becoming common.

California, emboldened by a stridently progressive Legislature, is trying to bring these Orwellian fake news panels to the United States.
