Obama’s Ego Just got kicked up a notch

The American public will begin thinking forbidden thoughts — “There really is a powerful whiff of affirmative action boosterism about everything this guy does, isn’t there? Can we maybe wait until he actually solves some problems before rushing to decorate him with Certificates of Participation and Badges of Effort? Is Barack Obama here to improve our lives, or we his?”

And they will also begin noticing Obama’s outsized ego, and worrying about further feeding that bloated, dangerous monster.

A minor actor can be perfectly average but perfectly respectable in his averageness. No one usually begrudges an average person for being average.

But if that average actor wins the Academy Award, suddenly his inadequacy becomes the talk of the town. He was neither more or less average before the award — but the bestowing of the undeserved award suddenly makes his quite-unobjectionable averageness a subject of sudden derision and his otherwise-unremarkable career the butt of a thousand jokes.  And what does the Public think?? (Written and a thanks to Ace of Spades)

CBS get tingles down its’ leg when Obama Blocks Basketball Shot

2009-10-09-CBS-EN-Obamashotblock

In my eyes, it was a foul with the body. Reggie Love gets to go to the line and shoot one; a three point play!

“Hours before the Nobel committee awarded its “Peace Prize” to President Barack Obama, the CBS Evening News found another “achievement” to tout: A White House-released photo of Obama blocking a basketball shot. With the picture on screen, fill-in anchor Maggie Rodriquez explained how it shows Obama impressively “blocking a shot by his aide, Reggie Love, who is younger, taller, and by the way, a former ball player at Duke.” Rodriquez added: “It now hangs in the West Wing so the President can savor the moment every time he passes by.” From Thursday night:”

Great Line from Limbaugh – ‘Greater embarrassment’ than losing Olympics

“This fully exposes the illusion that is Barack Obama,” Limbaugh told POLITICO in an e-mail. “And with this ‘award’ the elites of the world are urging Obama, THE MAN OF PEACE, to not do the surge in Afghanistan, not take action against Iran and its nuclear program and to basically continue his intentions to emasculate the United States.”

The Nobel just keeps on giving!!

DNC: If you laugh at Obama’s Nobel, you side with terrorists

Oh, and the Taliban too, which must be news to Mark Halperin, Ruth Marcus, Richard Cohen, and Ezra Klein this morning.  George Bush got a lot of heat when he used the “you’re with us or against us” for the war on terror, but he specifically meant nations that had to decide whether to help us fight terrorist networks or choose to hide them or hinder justice.  Politico reports that the DNC now posits that anyone ridiculing Obama is a terrorist sympathizer:

Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize

muslim obamaCNN announces that the  Prize for Obama is the closest thing to “Secular Sainthood”  The audience gasped at the news during the announcement of his award.

“The deadline for nominations for the peace prize was February 1, so someone nominated the President of America for his achievements 11 days into his presidency.

Apparently appeasement will work. Oct. 9 (Bloomberg) — U.S. President Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,” the Nobel Committee said in Oslo today.

“His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population.” Great!!

“But next year let’s give it to Miss World. Every year Miss World comes on and says I want world peace and the world free of nuclear weapons. It’s a hope, an aspiration.

Obama, 48, last year was elected the first black U.S. president on a platform of extracting the U.S. from the Iraq war while increasing focus on an eight-year conflict in Afghanistan. All U.S. forces are scheduled to be withdrawn from Iraq by 2011, after the 2003 the U.S.-led invasion to topple Saddam Hussein.

Obama is the third sitting U.S. President to be awarded the prize, following Theodore Roosevelt in 1906 and Woodrow Wilson in 1919. Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter won in 2002.

The committee said: “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future.

The committee said it attached special importance to Obama’s vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.

“Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play.”

The prize, worth 10 million Swedish crowns (£900,000), will be handed over in Oslo on December 1
