Be sure and thank the “No” votes folks. We have been beating on them, and its good to give them a shout out. It took courage for the Dems for sure.

Obama of Borg – Meet the Collective -or another miracle?

Resistance is futile – or is it? Remember the Massachusetts Miracle, with Scott Brown? They said it couldn’t be done? The choice is ours. Take a look at the Massachusetts Miracle to get fired up. The Manchurian Candidate Borg is going to be the other option.

Now is the time. The  fight begins.

Just who is in favor of Obamacare?

Something struck me. The number of those who “like” Obama, those who would “like” obamacare and those who do not pay income taxes. Seems to hover around the same number.

Could it be that the 47 percent who do not pay income taxes, might find Obamacare to be another perk that the taxpayers could pony up for them?

In 2009, roughly 47% of households, or 71 million, will not owe any federal income tax, according to estimates by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.

The vast majority of households making up to $30,000 fall into the category, as do nearly half of all households making between $30,000 and $40,000.

Nearly 22% of those making between $50,000 and $75,000 end up with no federal income tax liability or negative liability as do 9% of households with incomes between $75,000 and $100,000.

Experts say that to pay for all the things on the country’s growing tab, the money can’t just come from a shrunken pool of taxpayers.

Senators seek to block stimulus money for overseas

Just when my faith in the congress had diminished to be almost extinct, alas, an event occurs which confirms my previous opinion.” a majority of the program’s grants went to foreign-owned companies, and that a majority of the turbines purchased with the money were built by foreign manufacturers”. (And the Goricle is a major stock holder of the companies– but I digress)http://bigjournalism.com/kashiver/2010/02/14/why-does-the-msm-ignore-al-gores-global-warming-million/

WASHINGTON – A group of Democratic senators is urging the Obama administration to suspend an economic stimulus program aimed at financing renewable energy, complaining that money is going to projects that are creating jobs in foreign countries.

The four senators, led by Chuck Schumer of New York, wrote to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Tuesday to request a moratorium on the Recovery Act program. They asked that the moratorium remain in place until they can pass legislation mandating stimulus aid flow only to projects which preserve and create U.S. jobs.

“A critical Recovery Act priority is investment in the domestic renewable and clean energy industry, not investment in foreign manufacturers,” the senators wrote in the letter, obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press. The letter, which will be disclosed at a news conference Wednesday, was also signed by Sens. Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Robert Casey of Pennsylvania and Jon Tester of Montana.

The lawmakers cited a report by the Investigative Reporting Workshop which found that a majority of the program’s grants went to foreign-owned companies, and that a majority of the turbines purchased with the money were built by foreign manufacturers.

GENERATION ZERO

Generation Zero-The Truth About the Financial Meltdown is a documentary that seeks out historical turning points to shows us how we got to the financial mess we’re in.  And it makes some pretty good points.   The foundation for disaster was laid 100 years ago and then put on steroids by FDR.  LBJ greased the skids a bunch more.  And then we had Carter and some new terms to add to the dictionary like ‘stagflation’. Reagan tried to put on the breaks,  but there were just too many Barney Frank types in Congress and too many who put their election ahead of the country.

But make no mistake – Comrade Matrix says this is not a ‘D’ or an ‘R’ issue.  Its an INCUMBENT issue… and something to think about as we move towards a good ‘CLEAN SWEEP’ day in November 2012.

Obama rips Republicans for ‘obstruction’

Hey Dude, we may have to give you another Liar Liar pix!– you still got the super majority— House, Senate, Whitehouse and you can’t make your agenda??  Senate Republicans, he said, have employed the filibuster more over the past year than in all of the 1950s and 1960s combined, Wow, that is one tall tale–Last year you  had it all, but your Dem friends stopped you. Not so happy? You have controlled congress the past four years.

President Obama tore into the Republican opposition on Capitol Hill Wednesday, blaming the GOP for what he claimed is politically-motivated opposition on virtually every issue.

Democrats have been willing to incorporate Republican ideas on health care and other issues, he said, but Republicans have not been willing to do the same.

Addressing a gathering of Senate Democrats, Obama promised to “call (Republicans) out when (Democrats) extend a hand and get a fist in return.”

Senate Republicans, he said, have employed the filibuster more over the past year than in all of the 1950s and 1960s combined. The GOP‘s strategy has been “twenty years of obstruction packed into one,” he said.
