Canada’s New Euthanasia Laws Echo Nazi-Era

A chilling report out of Canada that has failed to get the attention it deserves. Assisted Suicide is gaining more acceptance here in the States as well, and who is included as a potential participant has become a horror in Canada. Mental health now will be included as well as children without parental consent. Laura Ingraham had a disturbing report and is included..

Already Oregon, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey, New Mexico, Vermont, Washington state and Washington, D.C., have approved assisted suicide all with residency requirements.

Anything to lessen the values of a a civilized society. A reminder during the halcyon days of Obama when the “death panels” were so aptly described. Otherwise known as the Independent Payment Advisory Board.

George Bernard Shaw: Justify Your Existence

Here we go:

Tim Stainton director of the Canadian Institute for Inclusion and Citizenship at the University of British Columbia said the country’s uniquely permissive euthanasia laws were, “probably the biggest existential threat to disabled people since the Nazis’ program in Germany in the 1930s.”

Canada’s extremely liberal euthanasia laws, which, next year, are set to be extended to include people suffering from mental health conditions and potentially minors, have been slammed for being reminiscent of the way the Nazis dealt with people with disabilities by a leading academic in the field.

As Adolf Hitler consolidated his power at home in anticipation of war, he moved not only against Jews, Sinti, and Roma but also against those Aryans whom he considered “unworthy of life”—people with epilepsy, alcoholism, birth defects, hearing loss, mental illnesses, and personality disorders, as well as those who had vision loss or developmental delays or who even suffered from certain orthopedic problems. Hitler viewed them as “marginal human beings” who had to make a case for their own survival at a time when the nation was preparing for war.

The first to be eliminated were too young to speak on their own behalf. In fall 1938, the parents of a severely disabled infant petitioned Hitler for the right to kill their child. He granted the petition and saw in the request an opportunity to encourage what he called “mercy killings” or “euthanasia.”

Earlier this year I reported:

Canadian Children’s Book Indoctrinates Kids Into Euthanasia

Children are introduced into the medical killing fields by Canadian Virtual Hospice with its Medical Assistance in Dying Activity Book, described as being for children ages 6–12. In it, the child is taught how a person is killed during euthanasia:

The three medicines work like this: The first medicine makes the person feel very relaxed and fall asleep. They may yawn or snore or mumble.

The second medicine causes a “coma.” A coma looks like sleep but is much deeper than regular sleep. The person will not wake up or be bothered by noise or touch.

The third medicine makes the person’s lungs stop breathing and then their heart stops beating. Because of the coma, the person does not notice this happening and it does not hurt. When their heart and lungs stop working, their body dies. It will not start working again. This often happens in just a few minutes, but sometimes (rarely) it can take hours.

And there are activities for the child preparing them for witnessing the event.

Medical assistance in dying (MAID) has been available in Canada since 2016

Bill C-7 would allow individuals seeking MAID to apply solely on the basis of a mental disorder. Prior to the bill’s passage, MAID eligibility was based on having a “grievous and irremediable medical condition,” according to a report from the Canadian government on the practice.

Creighton School of Medicine professor Charles Camosy said Wednesday on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” the bill would allow “mature minors” to be euthanized by state doctors without the consent of their parents.

Camosy argued that the MAID practice exists for several groups already.

“We’ve got the homeless, we talked about that last time. The poor. The disabled. Those with chronic pain. And then right before coming on, I researched the physicians group in Quebec that wants to kill newborn infants. That’s what’s coming next,” he told host Tucker Carlson.

The medical humanities professor said health care has been “hyper-secularized” in recent years and is based on “cost-benefit analysis.”

The Netherlands?

A refresher from the past of what our Marxists are about here is the USA. Be especially concerned with the so-called Inflation Reduction Bill. The cost reduction in pharmaceuticals is fraught with the potential abuse in denying expensive drugs with a new “Independent Drug Advisory Board” being set up. Earlier posts:

April, 2011 NY Times Paul Krugman cheers inclusion of death panels in Obama’s Budget Plan

The main thing, though, is the strengthened role of and target for the Independent Payment Advisory Board. This can sound like hocus-pocus — but it’s not. You have people who actually know about health care and health costs setting priorities for spending, within a budget; in effect, you have an institutional setup which forces Medicare to find ways to say no.

Recall our earlier post: Kidney Patients being told to accept death and forgo dialysis

”It was meant to keep young and middle-aged people alive and productive. Instead, many of the patients who take advantage of the law are old and have other medical problems”. Take advantage?

The best the swamp has to offer.

Actually euthanasia has its place in today’s world of college bred disenchantees(is that a word?) Rather than infect the world outside of the university they could off themselves for extra credit. It beats the hell out of moving into mommy and daddy basement when their degree in basket weaving and gender transitioning leaves only our military as a career option…although those pink camo uniforms are pretty snazzy!

It may occur to them to off their parents… then they can move up to the first floor and live out their lives in relative comfort. Apparently in Canada you won’t even have to put it in writing?

      Who will even know?

Admittedly, this was a first thought that came to mind. It’s what you get when you move away from “man is made in the image of God” to “man is totally hackable.” Well, maybe not.

OK, let me nitpick. Let us all commit to using the term ‘progressive’ in lieu of ‘liberal’ when referring to the North American Left. These are progressives who advance the idea of ‘scientific’ population control. If you deconstruct the DNA of the National Socialist movement of the mid 20th Century you find strands of Progressive DNA bound deeply in to that of Hitler’s whiz kids. Fact. There is nothing ‘liberal’ about those who deny the God Granted sanctity of human life. Nothing. Liberals believe in individual liberty, the light touch of government guided by law based in Natural Law and free enterprise. There is nothing liberal about the modern Progressive. That is why FDR discarded the term ‘progressive’ in favor of ‘liberal’ when he tried to convince the American People the communists, socialists and progressives in his administration were not a threat o their previously Constitutional Republic.

Great read, by the way. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

Nit pick away. I keep struggling with what to call them. In some way I don’t want to turn off some who might be on the edge of enlightenment.. Even Progressive to me doesn’t describe this ship of fools who ride this train. Marxist? well that is a turn off. Socialist? Not for very long the rate we are going. Fascists? I see a turn to more Germanesque government developing as in the 1930’s…

For those who have actually read the many tomes in political theory leading up to their beliefs the term Progressive New Left is the handle of choice. But please know very few who follow that legion actually do any original reading of the original texts. at best they are Cliff Notes socialists and seek security in fuzzy sounding names.

I never use progressive, Nick. I call ’em leftie or Marxist cuz that’s what they are. Progressive has been given too much cachet.

The question remains… in the end, when all the cards are played, what will you call them then? I don’t see a Marxism at all.. I see a fascist world government. Am I wrong?

The government is fascist. The people pushing us there are as often as not dedicated Marxists – regardless of what they call themselves. But they surmise they won’t get away with outright taking of stuff, so they take by control.

They quit honking about overpopulation because the solution was unacceptable. Now overpopulation is upon us, we just hit 8 billion, and various solutions are being implemented. A manufactured virus was one, and this is another.

I read, bookmarked, and then forgot a feature on how a part of a Canadian euthanasia law acted as a 10th month abortion law. I will need to dig that up.

However, on the vein of protecting those who remain in a vulnerable place, my post today centers on two reactions to pedophilia:
    1. The general public’s rejection of the sexualization of children by top luxury fashion brand Balenciaga and
    2. The release of thousands of pedophiles by California Democrats

A lot of stories coming out of Canada aren’t getting the attention they deserve. We need to pay attention to them, because Klaus Schwab called Canada ‘a model for the future’, i.e. they’re where the Oligarchs intend for us to be in about 4-5 years.

“A reminder during the halcyon days of Obama when the ‘death panels’ were so aptly described.” And I remember how people who warned about Death Panels were hooted down and accused of wearing tin-foil hats. Sort of like when they told us that increased Governmental powers post-9/11 would only be used against foreign terrorists. Or when they told us that NAFTA and GATT would never lead to mass economic outsourcing. Or when they told us that the Brady Bill would never be used to create databases on gun owners. Or when they told us after Roe v. Wade that there would never be late-term abortions, or abortions in general that weren’t medically necessary. Or when they passed Affirmative Action and told us that it would never lead to quotas. And so on…

I could not agree with you more. The sleeper country whose leap to the left is beyond belief.. especially with their new gun ban. Its always the guns first. First the handguns.

From now on, people cannot buy, sell, or transfer handguns within Canada, and they cannot bring newly acquired handguns into the country. A national handgun freeze was first announced alongside Bill C-21, the strongest gun control measures in over 40 years.

You did a masterful roundup of the old tin foil days. Thanks. my tin foil is packed away.

LOL—why shouldn’t Schwab be in Washington DC for Christmas? His organization owns the US Government too. Pete Buttigieg is a WEF ‘Young Global Leader;’ John Kerry was appointed by Biden to be a Special Envoy to the WEF; former VP Al Gore is a WEF Board Member. So is Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock—which financed most of our Government bailouts and stimulus spending for the last two decades. Even worse: something like 4/5 of Beltway Lobbying firms are retained by Corporations among the WEF’s ‘Top 100 Strategic Partners’ and many are Government contractors and fund NGOs that devise ‘policy.’ George Carlin wasn’t exaggerating when said that they have us by the balls.
