Trump gives a win to ‘Little Sisters of the Poor’, Others, negates birth control, sterilization mandate

How easy it is to forget what an out of control administration we had with Obama. Even though The Little Sisters of the Poor appeared to have won the battle in the Supreme Court, Obama had his pen and overrode it. So here is a reminder with the clip of the Nuns. Let us hope Trump finds his pen and this is the beginning of his attack on Obamacare.

Am I the only one who recalls all of the thousands of waivers that were handed out in the beginning of the implementation of Obamacare? If you had the right connections for your business, no problem. We thought we had a win with Hobby Lobby at the Supreme Court. And we did . But guess what Obama did with that damnable pen of his? Hobby Lobby Employees Will Get Birth Control Under A New Rule That Sidesteps Supreme Court’s Decision. Obama overrides the Supreme Court. Apparently, the “Little Sisters of the Poor” did not escape the wrath either, and lost another round with the Tenth Circuit, deeming them not religious enough. Take a look at this moving clip and you tell me if they are not religious enough.

President Donald Trump’s administration announced Friday that it will provide employers with religious or moral objections to providing birth control in their employee health insurance plans an exemption.

The administration’s exemption includes “any non-profit organization that have a religious or moral objection to providing contraception,” a senior Health and Human Services (HHS) official told reporters Friday. The new rule takes effect immediately. In addition to non-profits, the rule applies to “for-profit entities that are publicly traded,” colleges, universities and health insurance companies. The new rule takes effect immediately.

Starting in 2012, Obamacare required employers to provide insurance coverage for contraception at no cost to women. The rule did provide a caveat for churches and even tried to extend that to religiously-oriented groups. Religious groups rejected the offer and filed a number of lawsuits, which led to 2 Supreme Court cases. SCOTUS ordered that the Obama administration and religious organizations come to an agreement as to how to provide contraceptive coverage at no cost to women, but such an agreement never materialized. More Fake News: Refugee TB cases three times greater than media reported

Why this story today? More for the point that we have been getting more fake news than we could possibly imagine. And this one could impact our health. We find out now that many States are not reporting or have under reported the number of TB cases in each State. Keep in mind, the TB of today is not your Grandparents TB. Many cases are extremely difficult to treat and have morphed into a virulent form. So put this one down as “Now you know.” Meanwhile, Obama rushes more refugees down our gullet before he departs.

Between 2012 and 2015, 1,565 refugees were diagnosed with active tuberculosis (TB) tbin the United States, according to annual reports published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

The CDC data, which has been public but obscure until now, shows that the number of refugees diagnosed with active TB in recent years is more than three times greater than previously reported by any media outlet.

Example:

Georgia, for instance, is the most surprising untold story. During the four years between 2012 and 2015, 96 cases of active TB were diagnosed among refugees in the Peach State. On a per capita basis, Georgia has one of the highest instances of refugee TB of any state in the country. Yet nowhere has this important story been reported.

The number of refugees diagnosed with TB in the United States has increased every year since 2012, the first year the CDC began publishing data on foreign-born cases of the disease by category, when 358 were diagnosed. In 2013, 396 refugees were diagnosed with TB. The following year, 2014, 402 refugees were diagnosed with TB, and in 2015, the number of refugees diagnosed with TB rose again to 409. Data for 2016 has not yet been reported.

Gruber: ‘States against Medicaid expansion “Awesome” in their “Evilness”

What this clip shows is that Gruber really is a deluded man. He apparently believes that we should be stupid as opposed to being stupid. Those who have followed the ACA bill know that after the Feds chip in to expand State Medicaid – 90 percent the first year as I recall, it diminishes each year until the States have huge numbers of enrollees that they would be responsible for and would bankrupt each State. Meanwhile, the Medicaid reimbursement rates are so low that Hospitals and Doctors would face bankruptcy as well. A perfect storm, designed to achieve a total Federal takeover of Healthcare.

A new video featuring Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber, uncovered by White House Dossier today, shows Gruber concurring that some states refusing to expand Medicaid as part of Obamacare do so out of racist motives and asserting that the refusal is “almost awesome in its evilness” and an effort to “punish poor people.

POLLACK: One of the things that’s really striking to me is, there’s is a politics of impunity towards poor people, particularly non-white poor people that – it’s almost a feature rather than a bug in the internal politics in some of these states, not to cover people under Medicaid even if it’s financially very advantageous to do so.

I think there’s a really important principle to defeat this politically, not just because Medicaid is important for people, but because it’s such a toxic political perspective. It has to be shown that that approach to politics doesn’t work, because otherwise we will really be stuck with some very unjust policies that will be pursued with complete impunity in some of these places.

GRUBER: You know, that’s a great way to put it: There’s larger principles at stake here, when these states are not just turning down covering the poor people, but turning down the federal stimulus that would come with that.

They’re not just not interested in covering poor people, they’re willing to sacrifice billions of dollars in injections into their economy in order to punish poor people. I mean, it really is just almost awesome in its evilness. And I agree, you have to recognize there’s larger principles at stake here.

Obama: I Only Met With ObamaCare Team “Every Other Week Or Every Three Weeks”

Well, Obama is right on the job with his prize Obamacare. But then again, maybe he didn’t meet as many times as he said with his “team.” Maybe not at all. Nice ending to the week.

Obama knew all along millions would lose their insurance

By now I am sure most who pay any attention regarding Healthcare have heard this. What doesn’t add up is it is NBC news that caught this. Every Hospital, every insurance company scans the Federal Register where all of the new “Rules” come out, each and every day.  One needs to think on this one. Why now is it coming out? Why didn’t the insurance companies pick this up? Who are the double dealers. Still a puzzle is why the Hospital Association supported this. The Healthcare CEO in my company warned of the coming debacle. It was clear to all of us. Little reported are the tens of thousands being laid off in Healthcare. Medicaid and Medicare reimbursements don’t begin to cover the cost of care. It was always the private insurance patients that covered the loss. The most unreported story of the day. Government owned Hospitals next. So, with that, here we go:

By Lisa Myers and Hannah Rappleye NBC News

President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.

This story has been republished here

Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC NEWS that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”

IRS steals10 million medical records in CA

When I caught from The Hill this morning that the Dems are sleeping sounding, believing all is well in Obamacare regardless of the IRS kerfuffle, I simply started laughing myself silly.   No warrant required.

A growing chorus of Democratic leaders says the current controversy surrounding  the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) should have no effect on the agency’s work  implementing President Obama’s healthcare reform law.

A number of Republicans have said the recent revelation that IRS officials had  targeted conservative groups leaves the agency with no credibility as it  prepares to implement those parts of the reform law under its watch.

Courthouse News had a twitter out here that should put a bit of a chill down the Dems spine:

Class Calls IRS Rude, Crude and Abusive –  By the way, sign up and catch us on twitter @Bunkerville

DIEGO (CN) – A lurid but vague class action accuses corrupt and abusive IRS agents of stealing 10 million people’s medical records without a warrant – including “intimate medical records of every state judge in California.”

John Doe Company sued 15 John Doe IRS agents in Superior Court.

“In a case involving solely a tax matter involving a former employee of the company, these agents stole more than 60,000,000 medical records of more than 10,000,000 Americans, including at least 1,000,000 Californians.

“No search warrant authorized the seizure of these records; no subpoena authorized the seizure of these records; none of the 10,000,000 Americans were under any kind of known criminal or civil investigation and their medical records had no relevance whatsoever to the IRS search. IT personnel at the scene, a HIPPA [sic: recte HIPAA] facility warning on the building and the IT portion of the searched premises, and the company executives each warned the IRS agents of these privileged records.

The IRS agents ignored and discarded each of these warnings, ignored their own published and public-reliant rules and governing ethical requirements, and ignored the limitations of the court’s search warrant authorization, seizing the records under threat of destroying company property.” Full story at Courthouse News

Obamacare and the coverup that should do Sebelius in

The Weekly Standard has a story that should be front page news and a headliner. If this does not do in Kathie and Obama, nothing will. Talk about cronyism. One of the most corrupt governments in memory may have gone a bridge to far. For those discouraged, this may give us a lift. The States’ refusal to be complicit in this crucial aspect of Obamacare with the exchanges should shine a spotlight on the development of the federal exchanges — and what it illuminates won’t be pretty. Here we go:

The Obama administration’s congressional allies botched the drafting of this aspect of the health care overhaul, as the plain language of Obamacare doesn’t empower federal exchanges to distribute taxpayer-funded subsidies to individuals; it empowers only state-based exchanges to distribute the subsidies. (The administration pretends otherwise.) Moreover, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is lagging behind in developing the federal exchanges.

It gets worse. HHS has contracted with a subsidiary of a private health care company to help build and police the very exchanges in which that company will be competing for business. The person who ran the government entity that awarded that contract has since accepted a position with a different subsidiary of that same company. An insurance industry insider (speaking on the condition of anonymity) says that HHS, in an attempt to hide this unseemly contract from public view until after the election, encouraged the company to hide the transaction from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

in January, HHS awarded Quality Software Services, Inc. (QSSI) what the Hill describes as “a large contract to build a federal data services hub to help run the complex federal health insurance exchange.” At that time, the director of Obamacare’s newly established Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) — which the Hill describes as “the office tasked with crafting rules for the national exchange” — was Steve Larsen. Larsen had been the insurance commissioner for Maryland when Obama’s HHS secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, was the insurance commissioner for Kansas, and the two are reportedly close. The CCIIO awarded the Obamacare exchange contract to QSSI while Larsen was the CCIIO’s director, and he played a central role in planning the construction of the exchanges — although it’s not known whether he made the decision to award the contract to QSSI or not.

Under the contract that it signed with HHS, QSSI’s power would be substantial — as QSSI would shape, run, and affect companies’ ability to compete to sell insurance through Obamacare’s federal exchanges. The Hill writes, “A draft statement of work for the contract awarded to QSSI states the contractor should provide services necessary to acquire, certify and decertify health plans offered on a federal exchange.” Moreover, “It stipulates the contractor should monitor agreements with health plans, ensure compliance with federal standards and” — somewhat strikingly — “take corrective action when necessary.” Full story Weekly Standard
