Trump without hotel room because Obama never made a reservation

I couldn’t believe that “certain” of the MSM was mocking Trump’s staff that he didn’t have decent digs to lay his and his wife’s head while in Hamburg. Since we have analyzed the Trump’s body posture interactions to death, let’s move on to this important topic. It doesn’t look like he suffered too much in this hotel, but looks like a security nightmare. UPDATE: Turns out the digs are German Government housing.

The White House is blaming the Obama administration for leaving President Donald Trump without a proper hotel during this week’s G20 summit.

Every top-shelf lodging was already booked by the time the Trump White House began making inquiries – but that, two White House officials say, is because their predecessors never booked rooms for an American delegation.

The G20’s northern Germany summit was announced in February 2016, when Obama was still president and Trump was considered a long-shot hope to take the White House.

‘Obama’s people left everyone high and dry,’ one current official said on Friday. ‘They didn’t care enough to make sure whoever was president would have a place to stay.’

It seems as if Obama should have made the reservations knowing the next President would be attending no matter who that person would be but of course Obama cares about nobody but himself.

This story is so far fetched and who knows where the blame lies? Thing I am seeing is the house used was perhaps BETTER! And if so, if I were trump I would tweet about the good accommodation & better for all the security…this way if it was truly obamas staff on his coaxing…once again his ‘plan’ will have backfired.

    Trump’s tweets rock!

Bunker you write so well, knowing that your readers aren’t snowflakes and know who Melania and the President of the United States are and who each is married to. “MSM was mocking Trump’s staff that he didn’t have decent digs to lay his and his wife’s head while in Hamburg.” 🙂
From the Daily Mail UK, which actually is a pretty good MSM, but I guess they have their snowflakes to inform too :
“Putin met with Melania’s husband, President Donald Trump.”
“Russian President Vladimir Putin had dinner seated beside the American leader’s wife, Melania.
And in the course of the story they must have told the readers a couple of dozen times (written and picture captions) that…”The leaders enjoyed a concert and then a Friday night dinner, in which couples were split up and not seated with their spouses.”

Security aside, I’d much rather stay where they did then some overrated hotel room. Security is no easy task in a hotel anyway. I worked at the Hyatt in Houston in the Spindletop when Nixon visited and stayed there and the security was astonishing. The advance team spent over a week inspecting every employee file, phones were installed in every service stairway landing (33 floors), the floors above and below where Nixon stayed were kept vacant, and snipers were on every building roof surrounding the Hyatt. I remember looking out the windows of Spindletop and seeing all those black clad snipers with high powered rifles. I will say it made me feel very safe while working. 😉

Wow… thanks for the info…. really interesting. I recall when the Pope hit Phila back in the late 70’s or 80’s…..saw snipers then and it was quite a sight. There had been death threats as I recall.

Back in those days (mine) it was very low tech. The phones on the landings were all land lines. I can imagine what they do now. I didn’t encounter too many Secret Service because the Spindletop employees used the guest elevator since it was the only one that went to the top, but I understand the service elevators and entrances were crawling with them. The ones in the guest areas were pretty low key and tended to blend in. It’s much easier to secure a single residence like Trump is staying in vs a huge hotel with multiple entrances, exits, and employees.

I see what you are saying. I was just thinking of the water in front…. and what looks like an isolated building which stands out. But truth be told…. a hotel is loaded with potential spots for trouble and many outsiders coming and going.

Such arrangements should have been reviewed (several times) from around the first day of his presidency … so the Whitehouse can’t lay this entirely on the simian. On the other side of the coin, Trump flies around in a hotel suite and from what I understand, it’s a five star gig.

Oh, I don’t think they are suffering much….but yes, it is a security nightmare. I never expected much from Obama, so, really, this wasn’t surprising.

who cares about Ivanka, lol…I know I was reading security is a nightmare for the first lady. I read that the authorities had planned a climate change topic day for the spouses—I wonder how much of it was a security issue and maybe just a issue where the first lady said the no. lolol
