90 Percent of Population Growth Happened Outside the Cities

While we may have speculated the reason for the allowance of mass immigration of illegal foreigners into our country, speculate no more. Without them, many of the cities would continue to die, and of course would lose their clout in congress. The only cities most Americans have any interest in living in are in Florida and Texas we learn.

Rural America

Here is a story many of us had already figured out. Some good news to start off a holiday weekend.

Breitbart:

There are 124 cities with a population over 200,000 in the U.S. According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s population estimates for last year, over 90% of the U.S. population growth last year took place outside of its 124 largest cities. About a third of those cities lost population last year.  The total growth in the population of cities with over 200,000 residents grew by .23%, less than half of what the U.S. grew last year.

Roughly a third of those that lost population were located in New York and California. The three largest cities in the U.S., New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, all lost population again in 2023. Between the three cities, over 700,000 people have left since the 2020 census. New York is by far the biggest loser at 546,000. That is about 6.2% of its 2020 population.

….

So, if Normal People flee your shitty city and state, no problem. All you have to do is open the border and make up the population loss with all those illegals. Sure, you only make your state worse, and an even bigger welfare state, but you won’t lose your political power to us MAGAtards.

Some Democrats are so stupid they feel virtuous putting up with violent crime, higher taxes, lower property values, and homeless encampments if it means showing us TrumpTards a thing or two.

So…

Normal people are skedaddling to Normal America, where quality of life matters. And from our quiet, safe, friendly, tolerant, and clean Normal America, we can sit back and watch Blue America eat itself alive.

Chicago is hell, an urban nightmare where gas costs nearly $5.00 a gallon, there’s no place to park, it’s dirty, and you can sit at a stoplight for 20 minutes. There is nothing relaxing about that city. It’s pure stress.

Rural Indiana is bliss. Who cares if Walmart is 40 minutes away? When there’s no traffic, a drive can be a wonderful way to unwind. Everything about rural America is relaxing, clean, safe, and stress-free.

Normal People already live in the utopia Democrats claim to want. Where leftists govern, life is hell, and Normal People have had enough.

I was unaware of this demographic; for years, I thought the opposite was true — and, for many years, I’m sure it was.  It just never occurred to me to check for a shift in trends.  Some might call it “white flight,” and maybe it is.  I see no reason for mainstream society to acquiesce to the tribal rituals of low-IQ denizens who are themselves responsible for at least initiating the destruction of our culture and our urban centers — a pox on them all.  I’ll add one thing: I am disgusted by anyone who listens to “rap” (whatever that means).  They are a disgrace to civilized people everywhere.

The closest big cities to where I live are Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco/Bay Area. One of the striking things about those cities is how few children or even teenagers one sees anywhere. I recall reading that Seattle actually has more dogs than children under 12. A few years ago, there were places where teens hung out and children’s venues, but I’d be hard-pressed to find one if asked, these days. I read recently too that Seattle was closing some public schools because of lack of enrollment.

The opposite is true in suburban communities, BTW. That’s where families seem to be going, at least out West. Most of the outlying towns around those three urban areas are at zero residential real-estate capacity right now. The downside of this is that real estate prices out here have soared, but ‘every silver lining has a cloud,’ as the saying goes. At least some of the newcomers have learned from their mistakes, and our local government so far have done a decent job of keeping the drugs, box stores, city bums, and homo activists from taking root. Some of the mid-sized towns are struggling with those things, though.

Now with remote work, the housing situation has more options. In the east where I came from, city folks who had t 2nd homes out of the city. Then the people lived outside the city and moved back to the cities….

The circle closes and no one wants anything to do with the cities.

Interesting in what you say about the kids…

any wife worked in the heart of NYC, 1500 Broadway & W. 43rd Street The theater, the dining, the tourists where once a week or so I would take the bus to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, walk along 42nd Street mingling with the pedestrian crowds enjoying the sights, sounds and yes even the smells on my way to meet my wife for dinner and occasionally a show. After being born in Manhattan I spent most of my life across the river in Jersey while spending so much time traveling to and luxuriating in the city’s essence. After “legally “ emigrating here from Colombia in 1979 she lived in Manhattan and then Queens before moving west across the Hudson in 1992; she also truly loved what was then The Big Apple. Today it’s all nostalgia nothing more, a distant fantasy owing to all that can contribute to a once great city’s demise…its ruination. Corruption and filth reigns supreme.
Hopefully Trump wins and moves the sanitation brigade in to get ride of the rats and their wickedcways. These days In comparison suburbia looks pretty darn good.😎

So true. The Walmart is 25 miles from my place but, who cares. I took the Dual sport out for a spin the other day and stopped for a beer at the local watering hole, 5 miles from home. Took the long way home and added 25 miles to my ride, I only saw 2 cars on that road, my kind of day.

It’s gonna make it a lot easier to locate and remove them.
Of course, a lot are being put in some “rural” area by the NGOs.

Prosperity is mobility in America. I guess I am a case in point. After busting my hump in the military for decades and then in the private sector the blond and I can pretty much live where ever we wish. And we wish to live in a basalt canyon and not a concrete canyon. It is just that simple. People will flee bad conditions if they can.

I agree. Knowing you can pick up and take off is true freedom. I spent a couple of years roaming America and made life all worth while.

      Nrringlee,
Thanks for summarizing my thought. I was going to post that the solution presented to our need to both work and self-isolate during COVID proved to many that they could at least provide a portion of their work remotely. Therefore, many moved to places where satellite Internet service was available and took to raising free-range chickens and ducks (as one Sunday School class member I know has done). Now he has his regular income along with a growing side income.

Looking for silver linings to those dark clouds forming over the nation? Thank goodness for illegals. Who else would fill those empty five star hotels, fill our hospitals and classrooms, keep law enforcement on their toes? The $500 per day per illegal is paying dividends after all. Illegal “migrants” are not just for picking lettuce anymore. Four more years!
