The NBC folks have their knickers in a knot over the hiring of Ronna McDaniel. As if NBC does not have enough problems with credibility, they decide to mull over the treachery of their boss in public.
McDaniel started out her new career with a Sunday interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” — the network where she is now a paid contributor.
Ronna tried in her debut… apparently not enough to satisfy her new colleagues.
“I want to be very clear. The violence that happened on January 6 is unacceptable. It doesn’t represent our country. It certainly does not represent my party,” McDaniel told interviewer and co-worker Kristen Welker.
“If you attacked our Capitol and you have been abused and you’ve been convicted, then that should stay,” McDaniel continued.
The fact that Ronna has her own horse to ride, and is no doubt planning to be a turncoat on Trump, dishing out the juice on on him is not enough for her colleagues. At least that is the hope of her NBC boss. Why else hire her?
Oh the strange bedfellows in politics. But this one is hard to understand, or perhaps we are being played in the Sunday morning ratings war.
Oh wait… I think I have it…… strange indeed. CNN pitches into the fray, looking for some eyeballs. Chuck Todd as the righteous indignant newsman. Ethics the man said..Ah, it’s deep.
Gateway Pundit has an expanded readout.
…The blistering rebuke of her hiring did not stop there. Todd went on to say that many of his colleagues are upset that she has been hired.
“Look, there’s a reason why there’s a lot of journalists at NBC News are uncomfortable with this,” Todd said. “Because many of our professional dealings with the RNC over the last six years have been met with gaslighting, have been met with character assassination.”
“When NBC made the decision to give her NBC News’ credibility, you got to ask yourself, what does she bring NBC News?” Todd asked. “And when we make deals like this, and I’ve been at this company a long time, you’re doing it for access. Access to audience. Sometimes it’s access to an individual. And we can have a journalistic ethics debate about that. And I’m willing to have that debate. And if you told me we were hiring her as a technical adviser to the Republican convention, I think that would be certainly defensible. If you told me we’re we’re talking to her, but let’s see how she does in some interviews and maybe vet her with actual journalists inside the network to see if it’s a two-way, what she can bring the network.”
Todd continued, “So I do think, unfortunately, this interview was always going to be looked through the prism of who is she speaking for? I think you did everything you could do. You got put into an impossible situation booking this interview, and then all of a sudden, the rug pulled out from under you. You find out she’s being paid to show up.”
As if Chuckie and his colleagues have not been in the tank for the Dems…. and the thought of another point of view sends the shivers to them.
So what did Ronna Ronna Ronna bring to the table in this dastardly interview?
WATCH: Ronna McDaniel Comes Out Against Trump’s Promise to Free January 6 Prisoners
Former Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel joins Meet the Press exclusively to discuss former President Donald Trump’s promise to free those charged and convicted of crimes related to January 6th if re-elected. So reads the video notes… at the time of the interview it was not revealed that she was a paid worker bee for NBC so the claims goes.
McDaniel said she only spoke out now because she didn’t want to disagree with Trump while leading the RNC. Sure. Here is the whole sordid contentious mess and full interview of her. She gives her pitches of what is to be….
The best of the swamp.

Right, Chuck! When I first heard THAT quote, I couldn’t NOT think of the HORRIBLE CONSTANT CHARACTER ASSASSINATIONS of TRUMP and every other Conservative they can find…..that REALLY cracked me up!
SO glad Ronna’s gone…and she’s proven how I felt about her all along by doing this……….As I said on my blog (I think?!) “Will she turn Left as fast as Ana Navarro of The View did once SHE Saw big bucks!”

After they have used her up and made her life hell, they will get rid of her…..but this is a bind..Are they really going to let the help tell the biggie NBC where to go? I find that fascinating.

I agree….they REALLY told the bigwig where to go. I love that Scarborough has come apart at the seams when faced with any other opinion. What I don’t like is how Ronna’s said to be such a liar they just can’t have her on the air, as if everything the left says is true. I heard John Kirby today lie even more than I’ve heard him before….he must have to shower when he gets home.

….a portion of Bunks Box of Gold
My final statement in the post below: The ultimate stealth candidate?
From an earlier Bunks post New GOP House Speaker: We Need “Systematic and Transformative Change” Regarding Blacks
If you only listened to the audio of this Mike Johnson clip, and it was 2016, you would say Mike Johnson was progressive Democrat.
“Transformative solutions” is New Age code for bringing us into their concept of the “New World Order.” Same old show as before.
What did we expect we would get in the end after the House voting down conservatives time after time?
What’s frustrating is that we have have dozens upon dozens of legislation and movements making minorities normalized in society, yet we have those who think we’re still in the early 1900’s.
In truth most of us can lay claim to others having “an easier path.” Is this the lesson for his Black son? Had my I.Q been higher, born to a different family, lived somewhere else…. yes I indeed would have had an easier path. Each of us must come to terms with the fact that our destiny is ours to create. The best part of being an American is that we have the best opportunity in the world to make the most of it.
While we rail against our government and its corruption, our system of government offers more opportunity than any other form of government in the world. We are blessed.

I’m not sure how she was ever hired as RNC Chair in the first place. Oh, wait … okay, I was kidding. She’s connected to the Romney Clan, and as you well know, Mormons look after one another. That’s how she became Michigan’s Republican Party Chair, too. The fix was in.
So, how did Rona do as RNC Chair? The GOP lost eight governorships, four Senate seats, and 20 seats in the House. And the presidency. Some say, “McDaniel has failed to preside over a single positive election cycle.”
In business, the corporate hierarchy looks for winners. If you’re a winner, no one cares who your relatives are. But if you’re a loser, as Rona McDaniel is, then off come the gloves, and all the little rats become well-known to everyone.
She resigned in lieu of being fired. She should have been fired. I say — good riddance. A good lesson for the future: affirmative action destroys organizations, and people who have done their due diligence should avoid, as they would the plague, anyone connected to the Romneys.

I really can’t figure what the “NBC Lackeys” are complaining about…I am sure she will be happy to exploit her former position for the benefit of NBC. Amazing that these people feel OK to attack their boss…Morning Joe chips in…

I want to see videos of the “acts of violence” that she refers to which were committed by those who have been convicted of trespassing and similar horrific crimes against humanity. I would like to know how she thinks people should be treated who have been held for three years without being charged with anything.

A bit off topic but seems to be little said about Lara Trump replacing Ronna at the RNC.
A big roll of the RNC is to fund down ballot candidates. They spent around $200 million in 2022. Lara’s saying the money needs to go to daddy’s legal bills.
With fundraising already a huge problem, seems to me this would discourage donors even more. And even if cash flows in, the GOP could pay dearly in down ballot seats.
Looks to me like another case of anything Trump touches turning to crap.

NBC hiring McDaniel reminded me of when CNN’s Jake Tapper said he would no longer have Kayleigh McEnany on his show because she “lies the way most people breathe”, adding “Well there are some people who are so mendacious that I just wouldn’t put them on air”.
Aside from Ronna’s history of gaslighting and promoting conspiracy theories, she’s a lapdog for a candidate running on a promise of retribution to the press and to imprison journalist at will.
She’s a much better better candidate for the Murdoch Outrage Machine Media.

A proper denunciation in a Bolshevik regime begins with denouncing portents and grandparents as capitalist wreckers and saboteurs and then moves on to denouncing spouse and first born as agents of a monarchy. From there she should have denounced Jesus and all faith and any allegiance to the law of nature and Nature’s God. At that point she is partially cleansed. Commissar Todd will. then grant here a suspended death sentence provided she does not back slide.
Almost everyone has their price today. Ronna McBona will gladly pay hers.

Always start out with the denunciation of the J6’ers.., next of course will be support for open borders….it will be interesting what she has in store for Trump… then an only then perhaps will she be cleansed.

Ed,
With the package that just got passed, you have to wonder whether Johnson was forced into taking this just to keep Colorado RINO Buck and Wisconsin RINO Gallagher from pulling something else.

Ed,
Do you think that Buck and Gallagher would have been able to switch parties and remain in their seats if they did it at this time (just before the election)?

One thing that concerns me is to hear that Johnson could have kicked them out of congress once their intention was clear paving the way for special elections after all.
I don’t know if that is true.
I have no idea what is going on with Johnson.
