Janet Yellin: We Can ‘Absolutely’ Afford Two More Wars

While we are involved in non-stop T.V. war coverage, life in the U.S. continues. Yellin’s interview was easy to miss as she opines on Joe, inflation and war and more war.

Now that sure is a relief. Because she has always been spot on wrong on most things. Inflation being one of them.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the country can “absolutely” afford to financially support both Israel and Ukraine in their respective war efforts.

Here is how it works.

Asked in an interview with Britain’s Sky News on Monday whether the U.S. could afford to be providing military support to Israel and to Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia, Yellen said “the answer is absolutely.”

Yellen said the need to release funds for both allies was a “priority” and called for Republicans in the House of Representatives to seat a speaker so that legislation can be passed, following the ousting of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

“We stand with Israel. America has also made clear to Israel, we’re working very closely with the Israelis, that they have a right to defend themselves,” Yellen told Sky News’ Wilfred Frost.

“But it’s important to try to spare innocent civilian lives to the maximum extent possible.”

Back in June of 2021 I posted this.

Yellen Concedes Inflation Is About To Surge, Says It Will Be A “Plus For Society”

Why? Because soaring inflation is good for you.

“If we ended up with a slightly higher interest rate environment it would actually be a plus for society’s point of view and the Fed’s point of view,” Yellen said in an interview with Bloomberg. And yes, she really said that.

“We’ve been fighting inflation that’s too low and interest rates that are too low now for a decade,” the former Federal Reserve chair said, adding that “we want them to go back to” a normal interest rate environment, “and if this helps a little bit to alleviate things then that’s not a bad thing — that’s a good thing.”

It wasn’t immediately clear why rising rates, hence inflation and a drop in one’s purchasing power is “a plus for society’s point of view” but needless to say, this is the kind of idiotic drivel that Rudy von Havenstein and his cronies said some time in 1921, just around the time Weimer hyperinflation kicked in.

So let’s get back to the task at hand. Note she keeps shaking her head no as she says yes.

But of course all is well. Certainly.

“Insignificant”? My food costs from Q1 2020 to Q1 2023 rose 34%. Not to mention much bigger costs in the purchase of all appliances (which rental housing providers buy regularly), paint, plumbers and electricians. And REALLY not to mention GASOLINE. How clueless can she be?

So someone should tell her we are already in TWO wars: inflation and the war on our border. Oops. Three. The war on our streets. Ever notice BLM has the same initials as the Black Liberation Movement? Remember those guys? H Rap Brown, Huey Newton et al? Same goals, same Marxist philosophy, same lode star – Angela Davis. The first BLM carried out war on the streets – quite literally. Then it moved into academia and filled non-serious studies with charlatans and race hustlers. Now it’s moved back out on to the streets with the same initials and intent. War 4 is over gender. War 5 over green. Although war 4 could be considered 3b, and war 5 could be considered 3c. All points of the Marxist spear.

We have our hands full already, J-a-n-e-t.

Our Navy is out of date, our Army is understaffed and Biden continues to send ammo and equipment overseas – China and Russia are loving our weakening condition, especially with Congress acting like total jerks.

When Yellen says that “we can afford two more wars” the translation is that the Oligarchy still has a lot of wealth and productivity that can be expropriated from the American public. If we can’t afford things like food and fuel, we just have to sacrifice and work harder. After all, those contractors who are going to rebuild Gaza (and exploit the oil reserves off its coast) are going to need a lot to rebuild after it’s ethnically cleansed. And those guys in the EU and NATO are demanding even higher bribes to keep their populations in submission and servitude. On top of all that, we haven’t finished extracting all of our assets from Taiwan and we have to shore them up long enough to keep the Chinese from getting them. All that, and maintaining billionaire lifestyles—the price of ‘preserving our freedoms’ doesn’t come cheap!

The statistics reported by David Bond are interesting but not altogether accurate. The mayor of Birmingham, England, is a Sikh whose father was a Gurkha soldier in WW II … I will stand out of respect for any Gurkha, and I’m not the least bothered by Sikhs; I have never heard of a radical among them. The Birmingham population has 31% of “Asians” and around 44% of whites. This is what occurs in multi-cultural societies. My point is that for Chaman Lal to become Lord Mayor of Birmingham, he had to have the support of a significant number of white residents/voters.

The Lord Mayor of Oxford is not Muslim. Dee Sinclair is as white as a loaf of bread can get. And Anglican. There are mosques in England. Fifteen hundred … not twice that. There are NO Sharia Courts in England; there are, however, 30 Sharia councils whose decisions cannot supplant English law. So, honestly, I don’t know what David Bond is yammering about.

Anyone else considering the idea that Biden is giving a wink and a nod to Iran while playing Mr Tough Guy? Does Biden have to return his 10% commission if the $6 billion is re-frozen? Is Bebe playing it cool in order to get Bidenbucks? While we should back the Israelis can we trust their leadership? Flip a coin. Meanwhile the House GOP is all but conceding control goes back to the democrats next November. IMO as flawed as it may be.

This was the woman who tried to tell us there was no inflation. Then she said our inflation was “transitory.”

Just last week, she claimed that we were enforcing sanctions on Iran (never mind the $40 billion that Iran has raked in through oil revenues since Biden came in). Additionally, never mind that Iran was virtually broke when Biden came into office and suspended the sanctions against Germany, England, and China dealing with Iran.

Has there ever been a truthful statement out of this woman that has been documented?

Yes, she seems like now she has an opinion on about everything… but she has to keep those who sent 7.2 million in speaking fees happy. She now no doubt is in great demand for the military industrial complex.

In a world turned upside down the US can support two wars, the US economy is strong with no inflation, the US southern border is closed, the Israeli massacre is all but forgotten, Israeli military has missed its chance to retaliate, the Arab world is burning down US embassies following Hamas rocket striking their own hospital, Biden and Bibi slap hands as US prepares to enter another Middle East war, the GOP bites its nose to spite its face as it prepares to lose its wafer thin majority in 2024. Bottom line: Four More Years so fasten your seat belts Americans.
Oh yeah prepare for Palestinians coming to a town near you.
