Obama considering reaching for that Pen on gun control

No sooner had I read that Hillary Clinton: “I am going to get those guns out of people’s hands” from over at America’s Watchtower – by Executive action by golly if required, well good ole Hussein said now isn’t that a swell idea, and started reaching for that Pen and Phone. Hint: Keep your eye on ammo. An easier route.

The White House is considering whether President Obama can take executive action to enforce stronger gun control measures, White House spokesman Joshua Earnest said on Monday.

“The president has frequently pushed his team to consider a range of executive actions that could more effectively keep guns out of the hands of criminals and others who shouldn’t have access to them,” Earnest said Monday. “That’s something that is ongoing here.”

Earnest was responding to questions from reporters following Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s announcement that she would consider executive action to expand background checks on gun buyers by closing the so-called gun show loophole.

Clinton’s move marks the second time she has said she will consider going farther than the Obama administration by taking unilateral action on hot-button issues. She has already said that she would expand on Obama’s unilteral actions granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens if Congress fails to pass immigration reform.

His lack of an executive order on gun control thus far begs the question, why not? There is no resistance or pushback against any of his executive power overreaching or any of his unconstitutional acts to date. Could it be his puppeteers are not yet ready for the coming civil war?

If you own guns and you’re not a member of the NRA, GOA or some other gun rights organizations, you are letting others carry the load for you, and trust me, it’s getting heavy.

It’s an unfortunate fact in America, but lobbying and political cash is what it takes to defend our liberties.

Thanks for the link! I agree with you about the ammo: that is how they are going to attack this, or I should say one of the ways they are going to attack this. I know the EPA has been going after some gun clubs up this way due to the lead in the bullets and some clubs have had outside shooting shut down. They are going to expand this eventually in an attempt to stop the manufacture of ammo hoping to render the weapons useless. It might be time to buy reloading equipment and supplies before it is too late.

Well, if his “team” is part of the “gun safety group” mentioned at Cry and Howl you can bet they will find some way for HO to get done what he wants done. They are real bright guys and gals. One recommendation – “it recommended that federal law enforcement be directed to identify and arrest dangerous criminals who try to buy illegal guns, and notify and work with local and state officials when there are attempts.”

Well, nothing in the Constitution has stopped Obama thus far, so … of course, the States may have something to say about it; some of them, anyway. What I want to see happen is for the next president to take his oath of office, drive immediately over to the White House for the first time, and sign an executive order that cancels every one of Obama’s traitorous dictates. Any Republican that won’t do that doesn’t deserve to become our president.

“The White House is considering whether President Obama can take executive action to enforce stronger gun control measures, ” Ah, yes, THAT’s why the ‘oh so righteous indignation’ the president showed at that presser the day of the Oregon shootings…he’s paving the way, getting the simple minded folks on his side.
I asked this question at GeeeZ the other day “If he’s so adamant about guns, why not sign another executive order?”
Darned if he isn’t going to do that…Man, is HE going to get a BIG BLOW BACK on this one!

Hubby already knows how to do that, if need be.

Bunk – I just read The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, set in France during WWII. I admit to not knowing how the French police helped the Nazi’s round up Jews, et al. It sent me to the internet to read up on the occupation. Holy Carp! That will make you rethink, “Oh, the police/military would never turn on a citizen in the US.” We’re living in dangerous times.

I found it to be an very good read. Most the historical facts are correct. Not all, but I don’t expect that from fictionl.

The French people also helped the NAZI’s…while living in Paris, my French tutor told me that he knew people who lived in buildings with Jewish families …they’d been friends, etc. Suddenly, the nightmare starts and the law was that Jews couldn’t be employed anymore. SO, they had to start selling jewelry, then furniture, then their homes….He told me many French people bought the jewels, furniture, homes, etc., for pennies on the dollar and sold them for HUGE profit after the war. HUGE profit…families became wealthy off the Jews, he admitted to me. AND, some of the Jews told their French ‘friends’ when and how they were leaving Paris and some of those French ‘friends’ called Gestapo and told them! The war in France is very romanticized …

On the other hand, Americans don’t know the HUGE amount of Germans who risked their lives in the resistance to Hitler.

So your relative hated Germans, obviously….he met the worst of the worst. ‘he was never right’…from the war? Mentally? I had an elderly friend who had the same story about her brother.
But, I have to say….I have seen very thick books showing, page by page, resistance workers against Hitler. There was one purge where gestapo offices all over Germany were ready to be taken over ….they got to one officer at each place and told them that the minute they heard Hitler was dead, to take it over. Sadly, none of the myriad attempts at killing him worked…so that never happened.
I stood on the exact spot Claus Von Stauffenberg was shot on at the Berlin police headquarters quad…….very moving…
There is a sign over the German war cemetery given to the Germans after WWII by the French (amazingly enough): It says “Here lie German soldiers, many of who did not pick the cause or the fight.”
        Amen.
