Barefoot, he was dragged outside the house to a set of nearby railroad tracks. He was sexually mutilated, shot in the back of his head, neck and back and his body was then set on fire.
According to the testimony of the medical examiner, Channon’s death came after hours of torture, having suffered injuries to her vagina, anus and mouth. She was raped with an unidentified object and beaten in the head. It was also reported that her body was scrubbed with bleach which was also poured down her throat, in an attempt by her attackers to remove DNA evidence, while Channon was still alive. She was then bound with curtains and strips of bedding, her face covered with a bin liner and her body stashed within five large bin bags, before being placed inside a residential waste disposal unit and covered with sheets. In those cases in which the race of the killer is known, blacks kill twice as many whites as whites kill blacks. Black-on-white robberies and gang assaults are twenty-one times more common than white on black. In the case of gang robbery, blacks victimize whites fifty-two times more often than whites do blacks. The contrasts are even more stark in the case of interracial rape. Studies from the late 1950s showed that the vast majority of rapes were same-race offenses. Research in Philadelphia carried out in 1958 and 1960 indicated that of all rapes, only 3.2 percent were black-on-white assaults and 3.6 percent were white-on-black. Since that time, the proportion of black-on-white rapes has soared. In a 1974 study in Denver, 40 percent of all rapes were of whites by blacks, and not one case of white-on-black rape was found. In general, through the 1970s, black-on-white rape was at least ten times more common that white-on-black rape. [319]
Because interracial rape is now overwhelmingly black on white, it has become difficult to do research on it or to find relevant statistics. The FBI keeps very detailed national records on crime, but the way it presents rape data obscures the racial element rather than clarifies it. Dr. William Wilbanks, a criminologist at Florida International University, had to sift carefully through the data to find that in 1988 there were 9,406 cases of black-on-white rape and fewer than ten cases of white-on-black rape. [320] Another researcher concludes that in 1989, blacks were three or four times more likely to commit rape than whites, and that black men raped white women thirty times as often as white men raped black women. [321]
Interracial crime figures are even worse than they sound. Since there are more than six times as many whites as blacks in America, it means that any given black person is vastly more likely to commit a crime against a white than vice versa.

Honestly, I’d expect there to be an immediate explosion of news coverage by the mainstream media, and then for that Black couple to be forgotten about two days later. Additionally, I’d expect racial calculus similar to that of the Zimmerman trial:
One hefty, armed white male with a 9mm shooting an unarmed, skinny black teenager, after being ordered by the police to wait for them = Self Defense.
Similarly:
Four armed, white males, murdering two other black persons = self-defense (because we’re so dangerous and wear hoodies).
I admit I was a bit short in my response to this article, but I spent the day reading about George Zimmerman demanding an apology from African Americans (when he has yet to express remorse for what he did), as well as reading a whole slew of “black people kill white people, too” articles and posts.
Frankly, I think it is sad whenever someone is murdered by anyone, no matter what their color. This is why I neither approve of murder, or it’s sibling, the death penalty. I don’t want to see anyone, guilty or not, white or black, wrongly executed, or honestly, executed at all. I believe life is sacred. Period.
That said, I get your point, and will take your word for it that this was not just another one of those “they do it, too” efforts. I guess I’m still a little stunned that “we” now owe Mr. Zimmerman an apology for all the suffering *he* *caused* *himself* (not to mention Trayvon’s parents). Mind you I’m speaking as a Black woman, who can walk into a department store, wearing a suit, and STILL get followed, closely, and obviously, by one or two store detectives on a regular basis.
Again, I thank you for your civil tone, and for taking the time and effort to engage me. I truly appreciate it!

I think as the law is written, the jury came to the only decision it could. Having said that, i believe whatever happened spun out of control. It indeed is a loss. But don’t conclude that because we may be conservative we are racist. Many of us believe it is education that may turn the tide for blacks. It is unacceptable to have the living conditions with the out of control crime in the neighborhoods. While going to college, I lived in the inner city and I know of what I speak. We may disagree how to solve these issues, but there is much concern by many. Stop by again and share your thoughts.

My home was my bunker. Now it’s a piece of property for sale. I’ve pretty much had it with the way our government is acting.

The double standard in the reporting (or non-reporting) is glaring and we all know they reason why. It is not only disgusting and reprehensible, but it is irresponsible and practicably criminal. Nothing but propaganda at this point.

We conservatives will here about it but not the 50% of Americans who are disengaged. Our “frre press” is a farse and I do believe their behavior is criminal.
