$8 Billion to trick – Hide Medicare Advantage issue before election

I caught this story on Mark Levin last night. Without this illegal act, Seniors would find out in October that their Medicare Advantage plans would soon be toast. So of course he cannot risk losing votes in key states with high senior voters, so he does this. Mark states this is illegal, and the GAO has told him to stop it, and let the hearings begin. GOPers? Anyone out there? Read the full story to get your dander going. This man will stop at nothing. Here we go with the story

Obama can temporarily prop up Medicare Advantage long enough to get re-elected by exploiting an obscure bit of federal law. Under a 1967 statute, the HHS secretary can spend money without specific approval by Congress on “experiments” directly aimed at “increasing the efficiency and economy of health services.”

Call it President Obama’s Committee for the Re-Election of the President — a political slush fund at the Health and Human Services Department.

Only this isn’t some little fund from shadowy private sources; this is taxpayer money, redirected to help Obama win another term. A massive amount of it, too — $8.3 billion. Yes, that’s billion, with a B.

A Government Accounting Office report released this morning shows, quite starkly, that there simply is no experiment being conducted, just money being spent. Understandably, the GAO recommends that HHS cancel the project.

Congress should immediately launch an investigation into this unprecedented misuse of taxpayer money and violation of the public trust, which certainly presses the boundaries of legality and very well may breach them.

If he’s not stopped, Obama will spend $8 billion in taxpayer funds for a scheme to mask the debilitating effects on seniors of his signature piece of legislation just long enough to get himself re-elected.

 Here is how it works.

The most oppressive aspects of the ObamaCare law don’t kick in until after the 2012 election, when the president will no longer be answerable to voters. More “flexibility,” he recently explained to the Russians.

The money is to come from funds that Health and Human Services is allowed to use for “demonstration projects.” But to make it legal, HHS has to pretend that it’s doing an “experiment” to study the effect of this money on the insurance market.

That is, to “study” what happens when the government doesn’t change anything but merely continues a program that’s been going on for years.

Much like hiding all the tax increases in Obamacare until after the election, Obama is also trying to hide what will happen to Medicare until after he is reelected. This man really is insidious, and I don’t know how anyone can’t see through him at this point. And he is trying to say Republicans are the ones who are gowing to throw granny off the cliss by changing Medicare as we know it? Is anyone still buying this?

We voted in the Primary here today in PA. No one hardly showed up at the polls. We have lost our momentum I fear. We could even lose the house if we are not careful

Every story seems to get worse that comes from tnis corrupt individual. Mark said the guy has ice water running through his veins, and I wonder if he is even human. How could you do this to the most vulnerable and then claim how much you care about them.

If/When BO is proven illegitimate – a fraud, a plant – would all that he signed as ‘acting prez’ be made void and null, of no affect?
Since we know he’s not responsible for writing that 2000+ bill, we fight those who did and use him as the cardboard front.
Thanks for picking up on these truths!

Mr. AOW just got his Medicare Advantage plan. Without such plans, there is no maximum out-of-pocket as traditional Medicare is basically an 80-20 plan. With Medicare Advantage plans such as that of Mr. AOW’s (premium of $138/month), the maximum out-of-pocket = $6700/year.

Without that maximum out-of-pocket, more seniors will end up on Medicaid, that is, the taxpayer dole.

Private policies for those over 65 are outrageously priced. In Mr. AOW’s case, $908/month!

Thus, we once again see that Obama is all about redistributing the wealth.

AOW– you should see a broker and look at Medigap plans. No deductables, and no co-pays no approvals. These advantage plans are private plans who sell insurance and are not really the Medicare that was meant to be. There is one from Berkshire Hathway– 145 a month. check it out/

        I’ll look into it.

One of the barriers that Mr. AOW and I have encountered is his age. He isn’t 65 for another three years. He’s on Medicare because of his permanent and total disability.

All the Medicap policies that I DID look into wouldn’t cover someone under age 65.

Bummer- I fogot about Mr AOW’s age. I thought I might have a solution if the Advantage plans fade. One more reason to kick Obama out of his house.
