Feds investigate Puerto Rico’s aid going astray, not reaching citizens

Trump blasted Mayor Cruz at the time of the Hurricane that struck Puerto Rico that they weren’t pulling their weight. As usual, Trump is proved right again. Now, the Feds are going after the corruption as it is reported that the Mayors were on the take for handing out the supplies. Just hope they get Mayor Cruz, the big mouth.

And while CNN was all too happy to run with a new narrative essentially accusing the White House of racism for its ‘poor’ response in Puerto Rico, a new report from Metro this morning could prove the President was right all along and that it was local mayors hindering disaster recovery efforts on the Caribbean island and not a lack of federal support.

As Metro reports, the U.S. Attorney in San Juan is now opening an investigation into whether or not local mayors around Puerto Rico have been withholding supplies from residents and/or only delivering them to “constituents who had voted for them.”

“This morning we received information from a town on the Island where a person close to the municipal administration was asking one of our federal agents that the supplies that were there could not be touched because they were for his mayor,” said Rodríguez, who then indicated that the case is already being investigated.

He added that he also received confidences from another islander whose official was also keeping supplies for “constituents who had voted for that person.”

“This is not the time to do politics … this is the time to help and to be kind to others. This is a tragedy and nobody should take advantage of the aid,” said Rodriguez, adding that if they manage to prove the indications, the accusations will arrive” no matter which party, or whoever.

While refusing to give specific names, the U.S. Attorney’s office said that “the first is from the (area) north and the other is from the center; and another is the metropolitan area.

Meanwhile, the investigation was launched after Governor Ricardo Rosselló received multiple complaints that supplies delivered by FEMA to some mayors were not reaching citizenship.

“I want everyone who is listening to us to know that that will be investigated in a rigorous way and that we will not give any opportunity,” he told Wapa Radio, the local chief of justice.

He reiterated that the aid that has been taken to “mayors and officials is for citizenship and if someone is committing a crime, receiving supplies and using them for their known people that is a crime and will be investigated”.

Sometimes if you want something done right, you just have to do it yourself…

We listened (a couple of days ago) to a Puerto Rican native blasting Pres. Trump for saying those terrible things about the officials in Puerto Rico. Relatives there say the supplies are getting to the people…. Right. You can’t argue with them. So sad and I agree that FL may just be turning blue soon.

It is amazing how many times the media claims Trump says things “without proof” only to find out he was right! This is the latest example.

Guaranteed the good democrat voting PR natives who are being blewed, screwed and tattooed without a kiss by those they lkeep in office will turn Florida blue once the coming invasion is complete. And like most on the right I’m wondering how the Clinton’s missed out on this feeding frenzy.

And what would be different had the mayor’s opponents won? Apparently there are enough Clinton type cohorts to make up a Roman legion, or more. Tattoo them all with Roman tattoos, starting with the Clintons. 🙂
