NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police Commissioner Bill Bratton is behind a controversial proposal to grant amnesty to more than 1 million people with open warrants for low-level offenses.
But some experts worry it could cause crime to skyrocket.
First he called for reduced penalties for smoking marijuana. Now, Bratton wants to explore granting amnesty to 1.2 million city residents with open warrants for low-level offenses, people who run the risk of being arrested for failing to resolve tickets for drinking in public, disorderly conduct and the like, CBS2’s Marcia Kramer reported Monday.
There is one statistic that shows the magnitude of the problem. Last year, of the hundreds of thousands of tickets that were given out for low-level offenses, fully 40 percent of the people either skipped the proceedings or didn’t show up, Kramer reported.

According to a report on the Curtis and Cubie radio show officers arresting anyone 40 years of age or over will have to write a report explaining why they initially targeted or stopped that person. According to Po-Po commissioner William Bratton and Mayor de Blasio only 18-35 year olds fit the profile of a potentially violent offender. The next Chiraq coming to your town soon.

Not to worry about increase in crime, why last month subway crime alone went up a mere 30% which proves the new ultra liberal anti-policing policies are working in the Big Apple.. Between Bratton the ass kisser and de Blasio the commie they should be able to get funds from Washington to make up for the lost scofflaw revenue.

Know all have been looking in each day to see where you were. I don’t know where Bunkerville is, but know you started from somewhere in Florida heading home from the winter, South Florida I think. I thought I might hear and feel those angry noises in the sky when you passed Ormond Beach where Mom in Law lives ( don’t live there, but watch live cams :). But all was quiet, Glad you back.

You’re welcome. FYI: My Windows 8.1 was nothing but problems. I am back on a Windows 7 Professional, and in my opinion, it’s pure bliss.
