Northwestern Reaches Controversial Agreement with Pro-Palestinian Protesters

Northwestern is developing future “employees from hell” with the capitulation to the terrorists in their demands. Mocking civilized society, it is almost laughable that the old adage the”the inmates are running the asylum” indeed comes true.

Jonathan Turley gives us his best in his post that reveals the demands met:

Northwestern University has agreed to a controversial settlement with pro-Palestinian protesters encamped on its campus this week, including a commitment for scholarships for Palestinians, Palestinian faculty appointments, and special housing for Muslim students.

The protesters will also be allowed to continue their protests while agreeing to stay in a particular area of campus.  It will also put the students and supporting faculty on bodies to review any university investments and purchases, a major demand from supporters of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

The Daily Northwestern reported the details of the deal and noted

“the University has committed to provide a conduit for students to engage with the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees. It will also re-establish an Advisory Committee on Investment Responsibility this fall, which will include students, faculty and staff.

In addition, the University committed to some support for Palestinian students and faculty in the agreement. NU will ‘support visiting Palestinian faculty and students at risk,’ and will provide the cost of attendance for five Palestinian undergraduates to attend Northwestern.

The University also committed to providing an ‘immediate temporary space for MENA/Muslim students’ — a longtime demand from students on campus — and will provide and renovate a house for MENA/Muslims students as soon as possible. The final house is expected to come in 2026.”

It also includes a commitment of the university to intervene with employers to guarantee that students suffer no consequences for participating in protests in their jobs and internships.

Well worth the full read.

So, NW can be bullied Rainbow Push Coalition style.  Just like the “demands” of the 60’s.  I’m disgusted, but at least by showing their full capitulation it helps thoughtful parents decide where to direct higher education dollars, if any.  We need to build new institutions.

    Housing? Safe space building?

[INSERT IMAGE STEAM COMING OUT OF EARS]

“Yeah, here’s your building, next to the Shin Bet headquarters.”

Why don’t the “muslim students” in association buy their own damn house?  That’s what Christian groups did at UCLA in the past.

There is a whole lot more to what mets the story line so far. Dark money and these students? How many are foreign? Are they the ones that are “negotiating” It is well known that the Arabs pay full freight, and no doubt I bet now giving big bucks to the Universities.. Follow the money

The perpetual refugee population seeks further subsidy and extension of their refugee status rather than assimilation. They have made themselves such a toxic tribe that none of their muslim cohorts want them. Evidence? The Rafah gates are closed in the Western direction and only open to let people in to Philistia. The Egyptians have enough problems with their own Muslim Brotherhood to welcome more. The same is true of Jordan. King Abdullah has to manage 1.6 million perpetual refugees who refuse to swear fealty to his Kingdom.

Meanwhile, my friends of Indochinese descent are increasing their value and welcome here in the United States and yes, they long for their ethnic homelands but in more of a tourist sense. Life is good when you strive to make it good. There is a lesson here, somewhere, for those who seek answers.

The Muslims long for their cess pool they previously called home. They endeavor to turn wherever they wind up wanting to recreate the very same cesspool. Others come for a better life in what America in the past has had to offer.

Now simply free stuff is the draw. Then the taking down of the host country.

Well, let me be clear.  What you see are the protestors – some are Middle Eastern twats, but more of the protestors are homegrown twats.  None of them are anarchists.  They’re anti-Zionist Islamists.  What you don’t see are the college/university Islamic organizers, which are Hamas and Hezbollah, paid for by their various state sponsors.  You also don’t see the tons of money going to the universities from Saudi treasuries.

Under those circumstances, recall that Schill is running a PRIVATE university; they answer to no one but the board of governors and various government agencies that offer them grants.  He’s not in the education business; he’s in the money-making racket.  I don’t care how Schill spends his money, even if it would satisfy me to see NWU fold like a tent.

Also, we cannot ignore the right of association, assembly, and speech — even if the demonstrators are paid operatives. That is a very slippery slope.

We already know the usual suspects… Soros, Tides Foundation… so on. Can’t wait for our Press Secretary aka from Moveon.org to give her lies today. What a breakfast today.

The obvious answer is to close the schools, then ring these protesting Camp Fire Girls in barbed wire, cut off all utilities and bring in the crop dusters spraying them with disinfectants. The professional paid protesters once identified should have warrants put out on them, arrested and held without bail when this ends, identify the parties (Soros) paying the protestors arrest and hold them without bail. Question: Where are the fire hoses? Where is congress cutting off funds to these institutions immediately? Northwestern’s capitulation will become the boilerplate for dealing with this crap. This is the new Amerika. Biden’s effectively ignoring this will not cause him suffering at the polls.

      Peter,
One could either close the schools or just do what Governor Abbott and the Texas state legislature did: tell the college that their billion dollar funding stream would go away unless they took steps to control the issue.

While Texas has outside agitators are here (which the agitators deny being, but any “journalist” who stuck around long enough to see the buses would know they are being bused in).

This being Amerika might we expect to see an increase if federal monies going to these institutions so they can step up their various programs to deal with hatred against Muslims, blacks and browns? Doing away with SAT’s, academic standards and standings, and background checks should help in thinning out the garden variety whites, Asians and Jews. Lost tuition will justify those federal and state monies being stepped up. Northwestern is showing the way.

Maybe Houston should send Sheila Jackson Lee to Northwestern.

Sheila (who recently lost her bid for mayor of Houston) has been reduced to calling for Biden to federalize the Crown Act in Texas (naturally, by executive order) since she says that Blacks are being discriminated against because they can’t wear their dreadlocks and braids in every situation.

Some people get into politics because the money is good.  Others become college and university administrators for the same reasons. Michael Schill (Princeton, Yale) is the President of NWU; although a lawyer, he’s found a lucrative path not (too) often taken.  By the way, the university’s endowment is $16.1 billion, and its annual operating budget is $2.9 Billion, so it’s not hurting for money as a private research university.  I have little doubt that the Board of Governors had much to do with this.  The question will be whether the parents will continue sending their children there.  I’m guessing “yep,” but we’ll see.  Schill’s salary is around $1 million/annually (plus bonuses).  Life’s good.

Rather than taking out the trash they will be canonized. After all they’re rights to assemble, destroy property, attack law enforcement and deny commencement to students paying tens if not hundreds of thousands in tuition are being trampled on. Bring in the attorneys.

      Mustang,
And, of course, some politicians (like Sheila Jackson Lee) get into politics becaus they are too dumb to survive as the cashier at the local Walmart.

Speaking of that type of politician, have you heard that Biden wants to bring Gazans into America? I guess his open borders had not brought in the requisite number of terrorists needed for the upcoming Democrat convention.
