Welcome to the Coup d’état underway – Brennan and Democrats urge anarchy

Intervention of the Sabine Women

The Coup d’état is underway. Make no mistake. The Dems are creating anarchy and the rate we are going may be successful. The Kavanaugh debacle with the Democrats not even willing to give Grassley a copy of the unredacted letter written by Ford with her claims.

More scurrilous are the efforts by the Democrats to keep and support Rosenstein’s henchmen in refusing an order from Trump to totally declassify numerous documents bearing on the absurd Russia Russia Russia investigation.

Wish America luck, a few more months and it looks like we will know the answer. The GOP caving on Kavanaugh, add information withheld from the White House will do it. The topper will be losing the November election to the Dems and there will be no turning back.

Here are two excerpts that deserve the complete read.

UPDATE: Video of Brennan has been added below! How Arrogant! Not the Andrea Mitchell interview.

The combination of arrogance, hubris and desperation within a letter (pdf here) from the four Democrats on the intelligence oversight Gang of Eight, is palpable even in text format.

Legislative branch members: Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff and Mark Warner write a letter today to Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and FBI Director Christopher Wray, demanding the executive branch cabinet members withhold information from the White House.

Perhaps more stunningly, and extra-constitutionally (meaning outside the framework of constitutional separation of power), within the jaw-dropping letter the four Democrats outline previous verbal conversations and current agreements with Coats, Rosenstein and Wray where the Cabinet officers agreed to keep information away from the White House Chief Executive, the President.

That third paragraph is particularly interesting: …”the verbal assurance you provided us that DOJ and FBI would not provide the White House“…

Now from the Communist Brennan:

Former CIA director and MSNBC contributor John Brennan called on FBI director Christopher Wray, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to “push back” on any directive from the White House that may have a “negative impact” on the Mueller investigation.

Brennan called on “individuals of conscience” in the administration to remember that they took an oath of office not an oath to Donald Trump. Moments prior Brennan admonished people who are abusing their powers to “protect” Trump.

“I think that they should continue to push, push, push, and if Mr. Tump and the White House does not relent, then they have some decisions to make, and whether or not they are going to the just not follow that direction and be fired or to resign,” Brennan said of the trio.

“A number of individuals are trying to protect Mr. Trump and abusing their authorities and their powers, whether it be in Congress or within the executive branch,” Brennan said on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports. “And this is something that I am hoping that individuals of conscience are going to stop and prevent because I am concerned that this is just one indication that Mr. Trump is going to increasingly look for steps to take in order to further to try to subvert the Mueller investigation.” Video and more over at  Real Clear Politics

Bombshells at IG Horowitz hearing on second day

Believe it or not, I endured the entire hearing yesterday. My big take away was that there were at least 15 IG staff members as well as Horowitz that “together” came to the stated conclusion of the report of no bias that many of us find unbelievable. It appears there are drafts.

My other take away was that Horowitz only had access to those individuals available. No subpoenas were issued. Thus how could any conclusion be determined as to bias? It was pointed out that those questioned could have had the same bias of that of Strzok and Page.

YouTube has the full Gowdy hearing statements. Well worth going there and listen to the full thing. He did good. Zero Hedge has some good highlights, wander over to their place for the goodies, here are a few:

While Monday’s testimony by Horowitz and FBI Director Christopher Wray was certainly eye-opening – Congressional Investigators uncovered several game-changing bombshells on Tuesday that will re-frame the entire discussion. Hat-tip to Paul Sperry for reporting these stunning developments in real time.  Zero Hedge

    • There were no actual subjects of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, meaning that neither Hillary nor any of her top aides – including Huma Abedin and the IT guys who set up her illegal server and then used “bleachbit” to destroy evidence (for which they received immunity) – were ever under any direct FBI scrutiny. Horowitz found this “surprising.”

There is at least one and possibly more original drafts of the OIG report, which were subsequently redlined by DOJ/FBI higher-ups.

  • Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has sent a formal letter to Horowitz requesting “the various drafts of the report, particularly the draft provided to the DOJ and FBI, before those agencies made any changes to the draft report.”

  • Horowitz is investigating allegations that FBI officials “edited” agents’ 302 forms – which doument an interview with a suspect or a witness.

A highlight of the hearing:

AG Jeff Sessions: “I’m Confident” Deputy AG Rosenstein Did Not Threaten Members of Congress

Sessions breeches..There has been a sighting with no less than Tucker Carlson. In celebration I will give you this piece of the interview which only proves some wishes are best left unfilled. In this case, watching Sessions churn and justify his department in general and in one Rod Rosenstein in particular, just might give one agita.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions joined Tucker Carlson to discuss the shocking revelation today that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened members of Congress.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to subpoena emails, phone records and other documents of Republican lawmakers on the House Intel Committee back in January, confirming previous reports.

On Tuesday night Jeff Sessions told Tucker Carlson that he did not believe Rosenstein threatened Congress.

Jeff Sessions: well, I don’t know if they’ve confirmed that exactly. In fact the FBI Director, the senior ethics attorney for the Department of Justice who was in the room said that is a mischaracterization of really of what occurred… We understand in this department that we are accountable to the president and are accountable to Congress. (A real knee slapper – chuckle time.)

Tucker Carlson: Did the Deputy Attorney General threaten to subpoena the email or phone records of the members of the House Intel Committee?

Jeff Sessions: All I can say is Chris Wray and the senior ethics attorney and others and did not see it in that same fashion.

Walls Closing In On Peter Strzok As Questions Arise Over His Involvement In FISA Application

I must say yesterday’s loss in Alabama is discouraging. I hope McConnell is happy. The deep state is alive and well and one more nail in the Republic’s coffin. That said, I looked for a brighter light for today’s post. This might be one…looks like the walls are closing in on Russia Russia Russia, but I have been fooled before:

Over the past 10 days we’ve learned a lot about FBI agent Peter Strzok, a man who very likely would have lived the remainder of his life in relative obscurity as an FBI counterintelligence agent but for his sudden dismissal from Special Counsel Mueller’s “Russian Collusion” investigation.

As noted on December 2nd (see: Mueller’s Top FBI Agent Probing Clinton Emails, Russian-Collusion “Removed” After Anti-Trump Texts Found), Strzok’s life became far more complicated when it was revealed that his dismissal from Mueller’s team was linked to the discovery of multiple “anti-Trump text messages” shared with a colleague…a colleague with whom he happened to be having an extramarital affair.

Of course, like most twisted Washington D.C. scandals, his overt political bias and anti-Trump text messages were only the tip of the iceberg as it was subsequently discovered that Strzok not only held a leading role in the Hillary email investigation but potentially single-handedly saved her from prosecution by making the now-infamous change in Comey’s final statement to describe her email abuses as “extremely careless” rather than the original language of “grossly negligent.”

As it turns out, Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) has an interesting theory on that question which he shared during his questioning of FBI Director Chris Wray last week.  To summarize, Jordan’s theory is that Strzok received the controversial “Trump Dossier” from the Clinton campaign then went to the FISA courts where he passed it off as a legitimate piece of intelligence in an effort to obtain the warrants necessary to effectively spy on the Trump campaign.

“Here’s what I think Director Wray.  I think Peter Strzok, head of counter intelligence at the FBI, Peter Strzok the guy who ran the Clinton investigation and did all the interviews, Peter Strzok, the guy who was running the Russia investigation at the FBI, Peter Strzok, Mr. ‘Super Agent’ at the FBI, I think he’s the guy who took the application to the FISA court…and if that happened…if you have the FBI working with the Democrats’ campaign, taking opposition research, dressing it all up and turning it into an intelligence document and taking it to the FISA court so they can spy on the other campaign…if that happened…that’s as wrong as it gets.”
