Convicted terrorists by country of origin

While we are being accused of xenophobia and other assorted methods of bigotry, the facts presented below, as well as a handy-dandy chart listing the countries of origin of the convicted terrorists here in the USA, should give pause to any thinking person as to why we are questioning bringing in tens of thousands more of so-called refugees. Time to follow up on those who overstay their visas. Here we go:

Senator Jeff Sessions’ Immigration Subcommittee has published a study of persons convicted in terror crimes and the results are not promising for the safety of the nation. Forty of those foreigners were refugees, which should be a warning about Obama’s project to admit 10,000 unscreenable Syrian refugees during this fiscal year. Why continue to import potential enemies who want to kill Americans? What kind of government does that?

Here’s the report issued from Senator Sessions’ office:

At Least 580 Individucals Convicted in Terror Cases since 9/11, at Least 380 Are Foreign Born, Senator Sessions Office, June 22, 2016

WASHINGTON—Based on open-source research conducted on a list provided by the Department of Justice, the Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest has determined that at least380 of the 580 individuals convicted of terrorism or terrorism-related offenses between September 11, 2001 and December 31, 2014, were born abroad.

On August 12, 2015, December 3, 2015, and January 11, 2016, letters were sent to the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and State, requesting the immigration histories of individuals implicated in terrorism since early 2014. For over 10 months, the Obama Administration has refused to provide this crucial and easily accessible information. Since sending the last letter on January 11, however, the Subcommittee has identified 18 additional individuals implicated in terrorism since early 2014 – bringing the total to 131, of whom at least 16 were initially admitted to the United States as refugees, and at least 17 of whom are the natural-born citizen children of immigrants.

However, the Department of Justice (DOJ) did provide the Subcommittee with a list it maintains of 580 individuals not only implicated, but convicted, of terrorism or terrorism-related offenses between September 11, 2001 and December 31, 2014. DOJ has deferred to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide immigration background information regarding these individuals, but to this day, DHS has not done so – despite having the information on the foreign-born easily accessible in its records and databases.

Using this list, the Subcommittee conducted open-source research and determined that at least 380 of the 580 were foreign-born (71 were confirmed natural-born, and the remaining 129 are not known).

Of the 380 foreign-born, at least 24 were initially admitted to the United States as refugees, and at least 33 had overstayed their visas. Additionally, of those born abroad, at least 62 were from Pakistan, 28 were from Lebanon, 22 were Palestinian, 21 were from Somalia, 20 were from Yemen, 19 were from Iraq, 16 were from Jordan, 17 were from Egypt, and 10 were from Afghanistan.

ConvictedTerroristsNationOrigin911-2014

Because the Subcommittee does not have access to the Administration’s databases and files, it continues to lack critical information on most of the individuals on the list. Additionally, the list provided by the Department of Justice does not include cases that are sealed, have otherwise not been made public, or that have been handled strictly through civil immigration proceedings (as terror cases often are).

This information, when considered in light of four major terror attacks in the United States in roughly the past year, alone – Garland, Texas; Chattanooga, Tennessee; San Bernardino, California; and, Orlando, Florida – makes clear that the United States lacks the ability to properly screen individuals prior to their arrival to the United States. It further makes clear that our nation has a serious assimilation problem. Yet, the Obama Administration has not only refused to provide the requested immigration information of these individuals, but it persists in its desire to continue admitting more aliens from many of these high-risk areas of the world, including at least 6,000 more Syrian refugees between now and September 30.

Last week, in response to the terrorist attack in Orlando, Sen. Sessions said the “President’s failure to accept the reality of the threat we face has only emboldened our enemies, and we should expect more attacks like this one unless this Administration’s dangerous policies dramatically change. This colossal failure of leadership endangers us all.”

Imported Syrian Muslims coming now to a city near you

This is only the latest arrivals of Muslims. Syrians. 11,000 on their way. The best part of the WND post is that bloggers will now be monitored so we can be guilty of “Islamophobia.” First we are bigots, racists, and now comes anti-Muslim. Well, yes. Exactly. So we get the gang bangers and who knows what from Mexico, let’s bring in the “refugees” from the Middle-East who we can be sure will not be vetted. Earlier posts:

Obama plans on bringing in even more third world ‘immigrants’

“As numerical context for these executive actions, keep in mind that the Census Bureau reports that total immigration levels have reached a record 41.3 million,” the aide emailed. “Each year, the US issues 1 million green cards to permanent immigrants (largely lesser-skilled), 700,000 guest worker permits, 500,000 foreign students, and 70,000 refugees and asylees.”

Recall this earlier post:

State Department Using ‘Diversity Visas’ to Encourage Immigration to U.S. from Terror-Ridden Yemen

The State Department has awarded 1,011 special “diversity visas” allowing Yemeni nationals to immigrate to the United States since 2000, the year 17 U.S. sailors were killed when the USS Cole was attacked by terrorists in the Yemeni port of Aden.

The “diversity visas” are designed to encourage immigration from countries that do not otherwise send significant numbers of immigrants to the United States.

But I digressed. Here we go:

A few congressmen are fighting to block the planned importation of thousands of Syrian refugees into American cities and towns, arguing that they present a grave security risk because many Syrians have ties to the Sunni rebel groups ISIS and al-Nusra Front.

WND last month uncovered a document authored by one of the federal government’s main resettlement contractors that detailed plans to counter the growing “backlash” that is occurring in many cities that would like to shut the refugee spigot off, or at least slow it down. The report recommended monitoring blogs by activists and turning in some to the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center which could then brand them as “anti-Muslim” or guilty of “Islamophobia.”

WND has compiled a complete list of cities (see chart below) that received Syrian refugees since Jan. 1. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres has as many as 11,000 Syrians in a pipeline waiting for admission into the U.S., which is responsible for screening them for criminal and terrorist activity.

McCaul has tried to block the arrival of the Syrians based on testimony from FBI counter-terrorism experts. As chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, he held a hearing on the national security risks of the Syrian refugee program in February and has scheduled a second hearing for June 24. He’s also sent two letters to Obama, urging him not to let the U.N. refugee program become a “jihadist pipeline” into the United States. (First arrivals since January, 2015)

Some of the questions Gowdy has pressed the State Department to answer are:

  • Who makes the ultimate decision as to which cities get refugees from what countries?
  • What variables are taken into consideration when distributing these refugees? Is it done, for instance, according to population density, geography, job and housing availability or availability of welfare benefits?
  • What local officials are brought into the decision-making process and at what point?
  • How are the other “stakeholders” chosen in the receiving communities?
  • How are the financial and economic impacts of the refugees to taxpayer-funded budgets being measured in the various cities where they are sent?

WH: ISIL A TERRORIST GROUP, BUT TALIBAN IS AN ‘ARMED INSURGENCY’

Just in case there is any confusion as to who is who and what is what, we have this clip from the latest presser with the new mouthpiece by the name of Schultz. Anyone want to bet he will be put in mothballs? No wait, this is the Obama policy. Charles Krauthammer gives us his rebuttal.

“The Taliban is an armed insurgency,” began Schultz. “ISIL is a terrorist group. We don’t make concessions to terrorist groups.”

“You don’t think the Taliban is a terrorist group?” ABC’s Jonathan Karl asked.

“I don’t think that the Taliban… the Taliban is an armed insurgency,” Schultz continued haltingly, pointing out that the United States negotiated Berghdal’s release during the “winding down” of the war in Afghanistan.

Schultz reiterated that the prisoner swap with the Taliban was an “end of conflict” action in support of the president’s commitment to “leave no man/woman behind.”

Then we have Charles Krauthammer’s reaction to this absurdity- short version

Published on Jan 28, 2015

Charles Krauthammer on Fox News’ ‘Special Report’: It slits throats. It attacks buses. It drives car bombs into markets and it isn’t a terrorist organization. Look, you can’t parody this administration. The idea that the United States would not do this is preposterous. Of course we do. And also, the idea that the war is winding down, tell that to anybody who lives in Afghanistan.

This is a fantasy. Obama pretending that the war on terror, the war in Afghanistan, the war in Iraq are all winding down, and the wars are all back. I mean, this is sort of embarrassing.

Al Jazerra E-Mails show contempt for French murder victims

Through the years I have done numerous posts concerning the administration’s determination to have Al Jazerra fill our homes via cable T.V. with their often anti-Israel pro Islamic rhetoric. While other countries are kicking them out, Egypt for one, we embrace the enemy. Even worse, our State Department under the leadership of Hillary Clinton demonstrated her naiveté at the least. Now we hear how Al Jazeera thinks about the latest terrorist attack in France. I include a few snippets of earlier posts just for a refresher. Here we go:

While citizens around the free world embraced the mantra “Je suis Charlie” to show solidarity with the murdered employees of a French satirical magazine, a top editor at a Muslim-owned news organization had a different message for his colleagues: “We are Al Jazeera.”

A leaked email from Al Jazeera English Editor and Executive Producer Salah-Aldeen Khadr used the twist on a viral phrase used around the world to show support for victims of Wednesday’s Islamist terror attack on Charlie Hebdow in Paris. The magazine was targeted for its penchant for publishing forbidden caricatures of Prophet Muhammed, which it did in addition to poking fun at other religions.

“Was this really an attack on “free speech?” Khadr asked his subordinates in the email blast. “Who is attacking free speech here exactly?

“Defending freedom of expression in the face of oppression is one thing; insisting on the right to be obnoxious and offensive just because you can is infantile,” wrote Khadr, quoting Time magazine, as he urged Al Jazeera staffers to consider that “I am Charlie” is an “alienating slogan – with us or against us type of statement – one can be anti-CH’s racism and ALSO against murdering people.”

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday.

“Viewership of Al Jazeera is going up in the United States because it’s real news,” You may not agree with it, but you feel like you’re getting real news around the clock instead of a million commercials and, you know, arguments between talking heads and the kind of stuff that we do on our news which, you know, is not particularly informative to us, let alone foreigners.”

Al Jazerra calls West’s action ‘A new crusade’ against ISIS’ September 29, 2014

Via JPost:

Mansour accused the “extreme Right” in Britain of “corresponding” to the Islamic State in terms of extremism.

And just as US president George W. Bush referred to the war on terror as a “crusade,” it is clear now that “the story is not the Islamic State, but the real story is what is happening is a new crusade dressed in new clothing,” he wrote

Egypt kicks out Al-Jazeera, U.S. embraces news source   July 12, 2013

Every good organizer knows that control of the media is paramount. The good news is that Egypt has had enough of Al-Jazeera.

In the U.S., Soledad O’Brien and other journalists have flocked to Al Jazeera,  but in the Middle East, the network  for the past week has been facing a  major challenge to its credibility  including mass staff resignations, a  raid of one of its offices, its reporters  kicked out of a news  conference by fellow journalists, and the arrest of some  of its staffers  by Egyptian security forces.

The dramatic developments are the  result of widespread perceptions in Egypt  and in the Arab world that Al  Jazeera has shown a pro-Muslim Brotherhood slant  in its reporting.

Obama urges Cable Companies to Carry Al-Jazeera? even though there is no question that they support the Muslim Brotherhood? That they are anti-American? Anti-Israel?

AJE’s battle with the cable carriers is major news in the Middle East. Not carrying the network sends a message to the Arab world about America’s unwillingness to accept information, unfiltered, from the very region we spend so much time talking about.

Al Jazeera America Pitches Cable – Plans To Become A “Voice Of The Voiceless”

The news channel backed by the government of Qatar plans to launch late August following its $500M acquisition of Al Gore’s Current TV.

Al-Awalaki Praises Al-Jazeera, Wikileaks and Media Jihad

In his latest message to the world, Al-Awlaki defends the journalists of one such “trustworthy” Muslim source, Al-Jazeera, and praises the Western media source WikiLeaks. The message, a six-minute video of his speech “A Message to the Members of the Media,” was released February 14, 2011 by the jihadi forum Shumukh Al-Islam.[4] In it, Al-Awlaki also accuses the U.S. and the West of using liberty and freedom of expression as a pretext to take over the world’s resources and treasures, and to oppress and deprive people of their rights. He said that whenever anyone tries to expose “the truth about the U.S. and its agents,”

Obama sends 10 Million bucks to France to help with African Terrorists

Because we have so many extra bucks, and France loves to fight more than we do, let’s lead from behind and help them out. Anyway, Zero is at the Vineyard and can’t be bothered with detail. France really pulled their weight during WW II, so we really owe them anyway.

Via USA Today

The United States is redirecting $10 million in Pentagon spending to help France fight terrorists in northern Africa.

President Obama issued the order Monday while on vacation at Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.

“I hereby determine that an unforeseen emergency exists that requires immediate military assistance to France in its efforts to secure Mali, Niger and Chad from terrorists and violent extremists,” Obama wrote in a memorandum.

Obama works to purge online opponents

Under the guise of curbing the “radicalization” of U.S. citizens and identifying and purging potentially violent persons from the Internet, the White House has initiated the creation of a new interagency working group to address what it calls a growing problem.

When I read this, I thought now, just who is it they want to purge? Now that Obama and crowd are purging or reassigning the military leadership themselves- The dissapearing Generals– of those who disagree with our “Emperor”, it makes sense. It reminded me of the post West Point Think Tank warns of dangerous “Conservatives”

The report issued this week by the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., is titled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.” And just who are these “Violent Far-Right” folks?

It says anti-federalists “espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights. Finally, they support civil activism, individual freedoms, and self government. Extremists in the anti-federalist movement direct most their violence against the federal government and its proxies in law enforcement.”

Now that we have this point cleared up, let’s get on to the story.

The White House issued a fact sheet delineating the broad objectives of the plan.

The interagency group will be headed by Quintan Wiktorowicz, the current White House senior director for community partnerships on the national security staff. The new group will be called The Interagency Working Group to Counter Online Radicalization and will be charged with the implementation of an Internet safety program to address online violent extremism.

Wiktorowiczs stated,

Violent extremist groups ─ like Al Qaeda and its affiliates and adherents, violent supremacist groups, and violent “sovereign citizens” ─ are leveraging online tools and resources to propagate messages of violence and division. These groups use the Internet to disseminate propaganda, identify and groom potential recruits, and supplement their real-world recruitment efforts. Some members and supporters of these groups visit mainstream fora to see whether individuals might be recruited or encouraged to commit acts of violence, look for opportunities to draw targets into private exchanges, and exploit popular media like music videos and online video games. Although the Internet offers countless opportunities for Americans to connect, it has also provided violent extremists with access to new audiences and instruments for radicalization.”

The Obama Administration has already caused the alarm bells to ring on several occasions as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released several internal memos referring to conservative Christians who believe the Bible, pro-life citizens who are against abortion, Tea Party activists, and political conservatives who believe in a strict adherence to the U.S. Constitution as “potential homegrown terrorists.”

And in the current gun rights debate, sovereign citizens have gone on the record to oppose the Obama administration’s all-out assault on the Second Amendment, vowing to disobey any law that would violate their unfettered rights to keep and bear firearms.. More at Examiner

Just a reminder for old times sake about defining a “Terrorist”. By the way, Paul’s amendment was defeated.
