Say good-bye to Faucism!

Imagine waiting for the CDC to give you permission to walk outside without a mask.

Here is some silliness for a Wednesday.

Enjoy! UPDATE:

The police officer who posted a hilarious video mocking LeBron James has been suspended from his job over the harmless joke.

Kentucky couple under house arrest over quarantine order – includes ankle bracelets

Elizabeth Linscott and her husband were told police will be called if they venture 200 feet from their home.

How soon will we be forced to “show our papers” when moving about? Where is the law and where are the courts? We are now being restricted in traveling between states, how much sooner until we are thrown in COVID ridden jails? What happens when and if there is a vaccine? Does anyone believe we will not be forced to be vaccinated?

A Kentucky couple is under house arrest after one of them tested positive for coronavirus and refused to sign self-quarantine papers.

She said there’s no exceptions for emergencies and she has an infant.

Elizabeth Linscott got tested for COVID-19 because she was planning to go visit her parents.

“My grandparents wanted to see me, too, so, just to make sure that, you know, if I tested negative, that they would be okay, everything would be fine,” Linscott said.

After testing positive but without showing any symptoms, Linscott said the health department contacted her, requesting she sign documents.

“I agreed to comply to call the Health Department if I was to go. I was to call the Health Department if I was to leave my house for any reason,” she said.

But, she chose not to sign.

“I had gotten a message from them, a text message that stated, because of your refusal to sign, this is going to be escalated, and law enforcement will be involved,” she said.

Later that week, the county sheriff greeted Linscott’s husband, Isaiah, at their front door.Hardin County Sheriff John Ward said his office executed court documents from a Hardin County Circuit Court judge. The health department declined to comment.

Marooned in No Man’s Land – a nursing home

This post first appeared in American Thinker Marooned in No Man’s Land: A nursing home on May 13, 2020 and I thank them.

I now know what living was like for Robinson Crusoe….no, not shipwrecked nor floundered on some shoals. But a victim of cruel circumstances.

After decades of toil I retired. An over 55 retirement community became my destination.  Lovely grounds right out of a story book. Activities that would put a cruise ship to shame. Extensive dining room options. Farm to table. What could be better?

That is where the good part of the saga ends.

See, this over 55 retirement community comes complete with what is called  “continuing care”  “home care” “assisted living” – and what is known as a “nursing home.”

Thus all the mandates government imposed on “nursing homes” fell upon the entire community as well as the management wanting to keep us “safe” they say.

I can be charitable and say what is being done is in our best interest. If not I can say it is a cruel measure being perpetuated upon the voiceless.

The “shelter in place” notion is no less harmful than the virus itself. Essentially everyone is locked down. Socializing? Nope. The cruise has ended. We are no more than inmates.  Meals being delivered with a knock on the door by a faceless person with a mask  and wearing purple gloves that makes them unrecognizable. They drop the package of food – our meals on the floor. Because you see, there can be no human contact. They scamper away long before one can get to the door.

The bus trips for “excursions”  to faraway places have long ended. The bus shuttles that run several times a a week into town to get whatever we need has ended as well. Remember, this is for our own good. We are not to visit our fellow humans. No outsiders are allowed in. We are not allowed out. No family members. No one who isn’t required to keep us alive. If what we are doing is living.

I have exhausted Amazon Prime and Netflix movies. At least the ones I am interested in. I am a lucky one. I have binged. I am able to amuse myself. At least to a point.

I am one of the lucky ones. I like to think I still have my faculties. I have a car and able to drive. I can escape.

Spiritual care called. They asked if I had talked to anyone. They could set up face time. That was nice. Did I need anything? Nope.

I didn’t watch the COVID hearing last week. I wondered if it was a sign of depression. They warned us about that. Perhaps because it would be pouring salt in my wound. This COVID thing. They might discuss nursing homes and the need for additional draconian measures to keep us safe.

Perhaps a sign of my potential xenophobia… When I saw Trump at the latest presser attacked because he suggested the “reporter” (some kid there to hassle him) she ask China for the answer to her question. (She was Asian don’t you know) I thought yes… I could resent this China thing. Big time.

But I digress from my point. The designated nursing home.

Killing with kindness…

Those whose husband or wife who now lives in our designated nursing home but their loved one still has a cottage or apartment cannot visit their partner in the nursing home. Those who live in the designated nursing home are essentially not permitted outside of their room. No communal meals.

Thus little physical activity or mental stimulation. None of the group activities that give meaning to daily living. Loneliness that is a proven killer.

Just whom are we saving for what?

In a study of elderly Americans who moved to a nursing home for their final months or years of life, 65 percent died there within one year, according to an investigation by researchers at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and the University of California, San Francisco.
“One quarter of all deaths in the United States occur in nursing homes, and that figure is expected to rise to 40 percent by the year 2020,” says Smith.Smith describes the average and median length of stay before death as “surprisingly brief.”
The average age of participants when they moved to a nursing home was about 83. The average length of stay before death was 13.7 months, while the median was five months. Fifty-three percent of nursing home residents in the study died within six months.

Men died after a median stay of three months, while women died after a median stay of eight months. Married participants died a median four months sooner than those who were unmarried.

The implication, he says, is that “we need to engage nursing home residents in planning conversations about end-of-life care and treatment preferences very soon after they are admitted. We have only a brief amount of time to address their concerns before they become seriously ill.”

I can assure you that isolating these poor souls for the months they have remaining on this mortal coil is not in their game plan.

Robinson Crusoe by William Defoe:

“I cannot explain, by any possible energy of words, what a strange longing or hankering of desires I felt in my sould….O that there had been but one or two; nay, or but one soul sav’d out of this ship, to have escap’d to me, and to have convers’d with! In all the time of my solitary life, I never felt so earnest, so strong a desire after the society of my fellow-creatures, or so deep a regret at the want of it.”

This is what the swamp looks like on the inside looking out.

Fox’s Janice Dean who lost both her mother-in-law and father-in-law in a nursing home to the virus:

Translation: ‘Not my fault even though I approved the order that recovering corona virus patients could go back into nursing and assisted living homes. And then it spread like wildfire to the most vulnerable people that we are supposed to be protecting…’”

That’s all folks.

CA county to trace you and remove you if COVID to ‘other housing’ depending on your living situation

First they hire the “tracers.” Then they find you and someone tests positive in the home. Only one bathroom in the house and you have COVID? Quarantine has taken on an ominous new development. There are special places for you:

“We also realize that as we find more contacts, some of the people we find are going to have trouble being isolated,” said Levin. “For instance, if they live in a home where there is only one bathroom and there are three or four other people living there, and those people don’t have COVID infection, we’re not going to be able to keep the person in that home.

Every person who we’re isolating, for instance, needs to have their own bathroom. And so we’ll be moving people like this into other kinds of housing that we have available.”

Another Facebook user responded, “they can try — they will have a fight on their hands.

wtf ventura

They are backing down some but the alternative options are on the table. That “they” think they could propose such a thing says it all.

Democrats far more likely to snitch on neighbors than Republicans

Democrats are far more likely than Republicans to say they’d report neighbors for holding a social gathering in violation of coronavirus stay-at-home orders, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

An interesting poll that gives details on how far we have slipped in becoming a police state and like Nazi Germany.

Overall poll:

Just the News Daily Poll
With Scott Rasmussen

“There is a huge partisan difference,” Rasmussen said. “By a 44% to 31% margin, a plurality of Democrats would turn in their neighbors. By a 60% to 25% margin, Republicans would not. Independents are evenly divided. Other data I’ve released shows that a plurality of Republicans now believe the worst of the pandemic is behind us. Democrats strongly disagree.”

To see the full demographic cross-tabulations for this polling question, click below:

There are two pages and breaks it down further. Example by age. The kiddies much more likely to snitch. Apparently school indoctrination is working swell.

Suburban and urban voters are evenly divided on the Just the News Daily Poll question. However, by a 53% to 28% margin, rural voters would not report their neighbors.

“This is consistent with a tremendous amount of data I’m seeing highlighting the differences between suburban, urban, and rural voters,” Rasmussen said.

“There is also a gender gap,” he also noted. “Women are evenly divided. However, by a 51% to 32% margin, men would not report their neighbors to the police.”

A good read that dovetails with the Rasmussen poll.

From Front Page Mag:

People will argue that a temporary police state has been justified because of the allegedly unique threat to life posed by the new coronavirus. I do not believe the data will bear that out. Regardless, let us at least agree that we are closer to a police state than ever in American history.

No. 4: Snitches.

How do the police dispatchers learn of lawbreakers such as families playing softball in a public park, lone joggers without face masks, etc.? From their fellow citizens snitching on them.

The mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio, set up a “snitch line,” whereby New Yorkers were told to send authorities photos of fellow New Yorkers violating any of the quarantine laws. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti similarly encouraged snitching, unabashedly using the term.

It is said that about 1 in every 100 East German citizens were informers for the Stasi, the East German secret police, as superbly portrayed in the film “The Lives of Others.” It would be interesting, and, I think, important, to know what percentage of New Yorkers informed on their fellow citizens. Now, again, you may think such a comparison is not morally valid, that de Blasio’s call to New Yorkers to serve a Stasi-like role was morally justified given the coronavirus pandemic. But you cannot deny it is Stasi-like or that, other than identifying spies during World War II, this is unprecedented in American history at anywhere near this level.

This past Friday night, I gathered with six others for a Shabbat dinner with friends in Santa Monica, California. On my Friday radio show, I announced I would be doing that, and if I was arrested, it would be worth it. In my most pessimistic dreams, I never imagined that in America, having dinner at a friend’s house would be an act of civil disobedience, perhaps even a criminal act. But that is precisely what happens in a police state.

The reason I believe this is a dress rehearsal is that too many Americans appear untroubled by it; the dominant force in America, the left, supports it, and one of the two major political parties has been taken over by the left. Democrats and their supporters have, in effect, announced they will use state power to force any law they can to combat the even greater “existential” crisis of global warming.

And with that All is Well in the Swamp.

Balloon fail, cop killer Frein wanders at will, Martial Law remainsUPDATE CAUGHT

Accused cop killer and one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives Eric Frein has been captured alive, sources told ABC News tonight.

Both a federal law enforcement source and a Pennsylvania law enforcement source confirmed that Frein in custody.

It has been “a very good day,” the Pennsylvania law enforcement source said.

Frein had eluded authorities since Sept. 12, when he allegedly killed one Pennsylvania state trooper and injured another during an ambush of the Blooming Grove police barracks.

Police had conducted a manhunt for weeks in the surrounding woods.

Another clusterf*** from the Pennsylvania State Police. Seven weeks and counting as martial law continues in NE PA. Okay, I am about the only blogger on this story, but what the heck. Here is the latest update. For my full screed wander over to

Martial law in NE PA remains over Cop Killer Frein, call it what you like.

This balloon thing was supposed to see three miles, but heck, they forgot they were over woods. In the clip, the mentioned Frein “look-alike” was assaulted by the jack boots and ended up at the hospital, but you will notice they break it off as he discusses he has been stopped over twenty times. The reason for raising the money? The assault.

On Monday, Pennsylvania State Police announced they were using a device similar to a weather balloon in their search for the suspect in the deadly ambush of a state trooper.

Two days later, police have decided to deflate the surveillance balloon, citing ineffectiveness.

Trooper Tom Kelly, a state police spokesman, said the device has been returned to the Ohio Department of Transportation, which had donated the use of the large, unmanned Mylar device.

“Due to the tree canopy and rugged terrain of our search area, the balloon was not as helpful as everyone hoped it would be,” Kelly said.

CDC and the march towards Martial Law – why we have much to fear

UPDATE: Here we go Ebola patients fly around at will, as for us, not so much.

Dallas County Commissioners will hold a special meeting Thursday to declare a disaster over “the potential for widespread or severe damage, injury, loss or threat of life resulting from the Ebola virus.”

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said Dallas County Medical Director Dr. Christopher Perkins will sign a control order that will follow the minimum guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, blocking those being monitored for Ebola symptoms from using public transportation, including buses and airliners.

Back to my post:

Try as I may, apparently the so-called “memo” “giving authority” to quarantine U.S. troops for 21 days with explicit details could not be found as reported by CNN. I was interested in reading the “precise procedures.” Why? As we careen down the path towards martial law, and we are doing just that as posted: Martial Law declared in Connecticut over Ebola, Civil Rights suspended indefinitely Will the CDC activate emergency measures with Ebola outbreak? For those who insist that our tin foil is exploding on top of our heads, let’s look at facts before judgement:

I encourage everyone to look at the Heritage Foundation link regarding Model State Emergency Health Powers Act.. The Forbes link below is not from the tin foil crowd as well. Here we go:

“Quarantine is used to separate and restrict the movement of well persons who may have been exposed to a communicable disease to see if they become ill. These people may have been exposed to a disease and do not know it, or they may have the disease butdo not show symptoms,” states the CDC.

Quarantine can also help limit the spread of communicable disease.

Last month, former FDA official Scott Gottlieb, M.D. wrote in Forbes that the CDC will invoke powers to “hold a healthy person against his will” in the event of an Ebola outbreak, warning that the feds may assume “too much jurisdiction to detain people involuntarily,” leading to “spooky scenarios where people could be detained for long periods, merely on a suspicion they might have been exposed to some pathogen. And forced to submit to certain medical interventions to gain their freedom.”

An executive order signed by President Obama at the end of July also allows for the “apprehension, detention, or conditional release of individuals to prevent the introduction, transmission, or spread of suspected communicable diseases.”

The executive order, titled Revised List of Quarantinable Communicable Diseases, amends executive order 13295, passed by George W. Bush in April 2003, which allows for the, “apprehension, detention, or conditional release of individuals to prevent the introduction, transmission, or spread of suspected communicable diseases.”

The amendment signed by Obama replaces subsection (b) of the original Bush executive order which referred only to SARS.

In addition, under the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act, public health authorities and governors would be given expanded police powers to seize control of communications devices, public and private property, as well as a host of other draconian measures in the event of a public health emergency.

Describing the legislation as a “threat to fundamental rights,” the Heritage Foundation summarized a list of ways the law would be applied in the event of a public health emergency being declared. When the legislation was introduced, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons warned that it “could turn governors into dictators.” (And that is what has just happened in Connecticut)

U.S. Military Commanders Will Be Able To Quarantine Troops For 21 Days For Ebola Exposure

Washington (CNN) In an unprecedented move to protect U.S. troops that might be exposed to Ebola, U.S. military commanders are being given the authority to quarantine troops for 21 days at a Defense Department facility where they will be monitored for signs of the disease and treated if they do contract the virus, a Defense Department memo explained.

The memo, which was obtained by CNN, spells out the details of the military’s plan for the first time.
It does not reveal the location of the facility, but one U.S. official said it may be a site in the Washington, D.C. area. The quarantine will apply to troops evacuated from West Africa, if it is determined they have an elevated risk of exposure to Ebola.

The October 10 memo spells out precise procedures for monitoring troops’ exposure and how any problems will be dealt with.

Commanders also will be given the authority to isolate their entire unit in the region for the final 10 days of a deployment if necessary. All troops will be monitored for 21 days after returning from the mission, the memo says.

Martial Law declared in Connecticut over Ebola, Civil Rights suspended indefintely

UPDATE: Just posted: Martial law in NE PA remains over Cop Killer Frein, call it what you like October 21, 2014. This is just the dry run. Back to the post:

We knew this was coming. Those of us with the Tin Foil Hats. We warned what was ahead. Isn’t it interesting that Connecticut, a State that has not one case of Ebola is the first State out of the gate? Zero Hedge does a good analysis of the particulars, but most of us already have the drift.

Governor Dan Malloy has declared a Public Health Emergency in Connecticut, authorizing the “isolation of any individual reasonably believed to have been exposed to the Ebola virus.” Simply put, as we noted previously, the State of Public Health Emergency allows bureaucrats to detain and force-vaccinate people without due process – despite not one single case being found in CT.If there is a major Ebola pandemic in America, all of the liberties and the freedoms that you currently enjoy would be gone.

State of Emergency20141010_CT1_0

Translated… as previously noted:

If there is a major Ebola pandemic in America, all of the liberties and the freedoms that you currently enjoy would be gone.  If government officials believe that you have the virus, federal law allows them to round you up and detain you “for such time and in such manner as may be reasonably necessary.”  In addition, the CDC already has the authority to quarantine healthy Americans if they reasonably believe that they may become sick.  During an outbreak, the government can force you to remain isolated in your own home, or the government may forcibly take you to a treatment facility, a tent city, a sports stadium, an old military base or a camp.  You would not have any choice in the matter.  And you would be forced to endure any medical procedure mandated by the government.  That includes shots, vaccines and the drawing of blood.  During such a scenario, you can scream about your “rights” all that you want, but it won’t do any good.

In case you are tempted to think that I am making this up, I want you to read what federal law actually says.  The following is 42 U.S.C. 264(d).  I have added bold for emphasis…

(1) Regulations prescribed under this section may provide for the apprehension and examination of any individual reasonably believed to be infected with a communicable disease in a qualifying stage and (A) to be moving or about to move from a State to another State; or (B) to be a probable source of infection to individuals who, while infected with such disease in a qualifying stage, will be moving from a State to another State. Such regulations may provide that if upon examination any such individual is found to be infected, he may be detained for such time and in such manner as may be reasonably necessary. For purposes of this subsection, the term “State” includes, in addition to the several States, only the District of Columbia.

(2) For purposes of this subsection, the term “qualifying stage”, with respect to a communicable disease, means that such disease—

(A) is in a communicable stage; or

(B) is in a precommunicable stage, if the disease would be likely to cause a public health emergency if transmitted to other individuals.

Recall  Obama: ‘Prolonged Detention’ otherwise known as FEMA Camps? I am no fan of Rachel Maddow, but she gave a hint of what was to happen in the clip at the above link in the post done

We have seen our president issue executive orders within the last 12 months, in case of a National Security Emergency, to take control of all communications (including cell phones and internet) and all sources of utilities/energy (including gasoline, water, and electricity). We hear of FEMA camps and continually hear leaked news from DHS inside sources who claim that Martial Law is coming soon. Most recently the plans for drone attacks against American Citizens, on U.S. soil, has been leaked. There is no doubt that these are dangerous times. Secrets of the Fed

Would you believe Obama’s explanation?

DHHS Sylvia Burwell (Vince Foster’s dumpster diver), tell us no worries over Ebola

Our gal and political hack from way back, HHS Sylvia Burwell tells us “These processes work.” She talks about the Ebola outbreak. When I saw her at the presser yesterday, all I could think was it is working as well as her dumpster diving into Vince Foster’s trash after he died for reasons still unknown by many, and before anyone could get to his office to investigate. All to protect the Clintons. And she is now the expert in Ebola processes? First she expressed her acumen then the back story.

Via Sharyl Attkisson: (A great read, and worth the time for the whole thing)

At a White House briefing today, Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell declared, “These processes work.” She was referring to the systems in place since the Ebola outbreak in West Africa last March.

It’s hard to imagine a bigger disconnect between the optimistic tone of today’s news conference and the reality that some ordinary Americans see.

U.S. health officials actually seemed to portray the emergence of an Ebola case in Dallas as a success story.

But the evidence indicates otherwise.

After all, a patient infected with Ebola arrived undetected in the U.S.

He arrived despite screenings in the affected nations prior to passengers boarding flights and despite screenings after their arrival in the U.S. What’s more, the patient allegedly was not truthful on a form asking whether he’d been in contact with Ebola patients. And once ill in the U.S., he was initially sent home from the hospital despite processes set forth by CDC.

Instead of success, the case seems to represent a breakdown at nearly every step.

Still, Obama administration officials said that tracing who the patient was in contact with is what’s really important.

Who is Burwell? From HHS Nominee Sylvia Mathews Burwell, Dumpster-Dived Dead Vince Foster’s Trash

According to the Free Beacon:

In July 1995, Burwell (then Sylvia Mathews) was one of several key aides questioned by the Senate Whitewater Committee regarding the death of deputy White House counsel Vince Foster.

Foster’s death was officially ruled a suicide. The Clinton White House eventually admitted to misleading investigators about how senior officials had seized and disposed of files relating to the first couple’s controversial investments in the Whitewater Development Corporation, a failed real estate venture.

Clinton spokeswoman Dee Dee Myers admitted that then-White House counsel Bernard Nussbaum, who had recovered documents relating to the Whitewater controversy from Foster’s office after his death, did not turn over the documents to the Clinton family’s personal attorney, contrary to what White House officials had claimed. Nussbaum had actually given the documents to Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff, who placed them in a White House safe for five days before being turned over to the family attorney.

Under questioning, Sylvia Mathews and her colleagues denied impeding a police investigation into Foster’s death after his body was found in a northern Virginia park. According to the New York Times, Mathews testified “in laborious detail about what she had found in Mr. Foster’s garbage on the night he died.”

(snip) NY Times:

The committee today began what will be weeks of intensive questioning of White House aides about whether Mrs. Clinton, in advance of investigators, had told officials to remove papers from the office of Vincent W. Foster Jr., her close friend and former law partner who was the deputy White House counsel at the time he killed himself on July 20, 1993.

The committee also focused today on Mr. Foster’s office trash. Members questioned Sylvia Mathews, a former White House aide, in laborious detail about what she had found in Mr. Foster’s garbage on the night he died. Other than a few routine documents, the garbage contained nothing that shed light on Mr. Foster’s thinking, said Ms. Mathews, who is now chief of staff at the Treasury Department.

Republicans on the committee found it significant, however, that Ms. Mathews had also managed to retrieve a special bag of garbage containing classified and sensitive papers that was usually destroyed by the Secret Service. The contents of that bag were never examined by anyone to see if Mr. Foster had left anything in it that might shed light on his state of mind.

Ms. Mathews said that she got the bag from the Secret Service and began looking briefly through it, when she discovered that it contained all of the classified garbage from the West Wing.
