Congress: “Beware of the wrath of the Saxons’!

I picked this poem up over at The Freedom Fighter’s Journal.  A Saturday respite from a very difficult week for American Patriots.

In the UK and the USA the old parties seem irrelevant – vehicles for career politicians who don’t care which team they drive for as long as it is the winning one. And out here, beyond the Thunderdome, we’re beginning to see that whoever else wins, we lose. We don’t much like it. But we are slow to anger – and yet our rulers should heed Kipling’s words, put into the mouth of a Norman noble on his death bed, talking to his son:

“The Saxon is not like us Normans. His manners are not so polite.
But he never means anything serious till he talks about justice and right.
When he stands like an ox in the furrow – with his sullen set eyes on your own,
And grumbles, ‘This isn’t fair dealing,’ my son, leave the Saxon alone.

Our rulers should beware the phenomenon described in ‘The Wrath of the Awakened Saxon”

THE WRATH OF THE AWAKENED SAXON

by Rudyard Kipling

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy — willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.

Danger from the Patriots! LA Times warns U.S.

Peril from ‘patriots’ reads the headline from the LA Times. They claim more dangerous than International terrorists..The survey going on at the link now is reading “Should we worry about patriot groups”? is reading 95 percent no, 5 percent yes. Wander over if you care to share your opinion.  In what has to be the most absurd piece of writing, the “Neanderthal” patriots love their guns is really the gist of it. So if the government grabs them, we will be so much better for it. Keep in mind, there were no illegal guns at Waco.

The U.S. needs to keep a close watch on the growing threat of home-grown extremist groups

Patriot groups first began surfacing after the massacre of a bizarre sect by federal agents in Waco, Texas, in the early 1990s.

Just a reminder below:

There are, in increasingly frightening numbers, cells of angry men in the United States preparing for combat with the U.S. government. They are usually heavily armed, blinded by an intractable hatred, often motivated by religious zeal. They’re not jihadists. They are white, right-wing Americans, nearly all with an obsessive attachment to guns, who may represent a greater danger to the lives of American civilians than international terrorists. The Southern Poverty Law Center, which has been tracking hate groups for 30 years, released its  latest report on the growth of these organizations this week. Its findings were, to say the least, alarming.

Patriot groups are motivated by a host of anti-government attitudes, but their primary focus is guns. They are convinced that the government is out to seize their weapons, even though most legislation is focused on keeping guns out of the hands of criminals or restricting the types of weapons that can be sold. Many are also united by belief in an outlandish one-world government conspiracy theory positing that the United Nations is poised to strip away American property rights and impose socialism on us all.

The typical patriot acts within his free-speech and 2nd Amendment rights, and in fact most patriot activity consists of venting steam by meeting with like-minded Neanderthals and firing off blog posts threatening civil war. (So now they tell us).

Patriot Groups marked as Hate Groups by Southern Poverty Law Center

Southern Povert Law Center  has a report onThe Patriot Movement and how they inspire Hate Groups and Militias. If you feel so inclined you can read the full report here. I am sure Eric Holder will be more than happy to have the FBI check them out. Of course, after they get done with the NYPD for sliding over into NJ and checking out the Muslims. If this riles you up, you may want to check out Conservative on fire’s post  I am a right wing radical and proud of it

This is the full list of Patriot Groups as compiled by the SPLC. Note that they are listed by state so some are listed multiple times. Like Oath Keepers.

The Southern Poverty Law Center identified 1274 anti-government “Patriot” groups that were active in 2011. Of these groups, 334 were militias, marked with an asterisk, and the remainder includes “common-law” courts, publishers, ministries and citizens’ groups.

Generally, Patriot groups define themselves as opposed to the “New World Order,” engage in groundless conspiracy theorizing, or advocate or adhere to extreme antigovernment doctrines. Listing here does not imply that the groups themselves advocate or engage in violence or other criminal activities, or are racist.

H/T: goes to Infidel Bloggers Alliance for this find, which ia a great site, and has more. You do need to scroll down a bit on their home page

Oath Keepers? Really? A group dedicated to upholding the Oath they took to support and defend America is a potential threat?

If you belong to or support any of these groups you are considered a possible threat to the republic and bear more scrutiny than someone like Jeremiah Wright or Derrick Bell.  Full list here: Southern Povert Law Center

Disclose Act – Up for a Vote Again! Call! Tonight or Tommorrow

DISCLOSE ACT – UP FOR A VOTE AGAIN

Dear Fellow Tea Party Patriots,

DISCLOSE ACT back on the calendar for tomorrow June 23, 2010! We must stop this 1st Amendment killing legislation. They are trying to stop our voices! Please call these Congressmen and tell them to Vote No on DISCLOSE ACT!

On April 29, 2010, Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) introduced H.R. 5175, the Democracy is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections (DISCLOSE) Act.  The bill is a direct response to Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission  (McCain- Feingold) – a First Amendment victory in which the Supreme Court overturned the prohibition on corporations and unions using treasury funds for independent expenditures supporting or opposing political candidates at any time of the year.  Simply put, the DISCLOSE Act will limit the political speech that was protected and encouraged by Citizens United.

Speaker Pelosi and the House Majority Leadership are making it a priority to pass this bill.  This bill is designed to take away the influence of Tea Party and other conservative groups in the upcoming November election. We feel like this bill will be successfully challenged in the courts, but the ruling will not come before the November election.

An exemption has been carved out for the Labor Unions and other leftist advocacy groups.  The NRA was also exempted so they would not actively oppose it.

Roll Call Magazine reports today that they have carved out even deeper exemptions in order to assure passage and we believe it clearly shows the intent of the bill is to diminish the effectiveness of  Tea Party groups and other newer conservative advocacy groups.

“Facing wide-ranging blowback from an exemption tailored for the National Rifle Association, House Democratic leaders have decided to expand the carve-out from disclosure requirements in a campaign finance measure they are trying to pass this week.
The new standard lowers the membership requirement for outside groups from 1 million members to 500,000. Those groups would still need to have members in 50 states, have existed for 10 years and can accept no more than 15 percent of their funding from corporate or union sources. The broader bill, called the DISCLOSE Act, comes in response to the controversial Supreme Court decision in January that struck down limits on corporate and union spending in elections. The bill would force groups participating in elections to name their top donors, among other changes.”

We need you to make phone calls, send emails and faxes and urge the Congressmen listed below to vote no on this bill.
Together, we can make a difference!
