Flashback Obama: ‘What magic wand does Trump have to bring jobs back?’

Trump and his magic wand. This for my Flashback Saturday. Enjoy!

Our former community organizer never had a clue. It seems like a million years ago we put up with Obama but we did. Here are the magic words.

Donald Trump used his magical wand to bring jobs back to America. The United States economy is booming because of the wand and corporations have been quick to move back to America. Barack Obama unfortunately mocked Donald Trump for having “A Magic Wand” during his 2016 presidential campaign. However he was very very wrong indeed… Here are some examples from 2017 of Trump using his magic wand to bring jobs home.

Obama spending millions for summer jobs – for refugees

So much for Obama concerned with America and our kids.

Obama spending millions to find summer jobs — for refugees

“The New Americans Career Pathways project will provide in-school youth with summer jobs and academic support for 400 students in the refugee populations of Utica, NY,” according to a White House Fact Sheet. “The students will receive summer job work experience and academic tutoring in English and Math, and support in finding part-time jobs.”

Other projects include “employment-related services” for Native American youth in California, Illinois and Iowa; to “create summer employment and year-round work experiences for 1,000 disconnected youth and underserved populations, including Latino and Arab-American youth” in Detroit; and inner-city jobs programs in Indianapolis, Philadelphia and other places.

Right-to-Work States fare better with jobs

Carpe Diem  has some interesting factoids when writing about the new Right-to-Work law that just passed in Indiana. For the Union folks out there who are still wondering which way to go, take a look. How are all of your Union dues working out for you so far?

MP: Some facts appear in the table below, showing the differences in some key economic variables between right-to-work states and forced unionism states in the ten-year period between 2000 and 2010 based on BEA data available here.

Percentage Change,
2000 to 2010
 Forced Union
Private Employment 10.30% 1.90%
Private Sector Compensation 11.10% 0.70%
Real GDP per Capita 9.70% 7.89%
Source: BEA
  Here’s a summary:
1. Private employment in right-to-work states grew by 10% between 2000 and 2010, or more than five times the 1.9% private job growth in forced union states.
2. In the period between 2000 and 2007 before the recession started, almost 8 million jobs were created in right-to-work states compared to fewer than 6 million new jobs in forced union states, even though forced union states outnumber right-to-work states 28 to 22 and have populations and labor forces that are 65% greater than right-to-work states.
3. Total private sector compensation grew more than 11% in right-to-work states in the 2000s, compared to only 0.70% in forced union states.

4. Real per-capita GDP increased 9.7% between 2000 and 2010 in right-to-work states, compared to 7.89% in forced unionism states.

When Will The Eco-Nuts Stop Shipping Jobs Overseas?

I caught this story on Fox this morning. A plant is closing in Virginia with 200 job making light bulbs, the last making incandesent…guess where the jobs are going? China. We who invented that new “green bulb” are sending it overseas.

Besides the mercury and costly disposal of what to do with them, who is the government to tell us what we must buy? So we get a gallon and a half water for our toilets, lights that drive us nuts and cause epilepsy to those inclined.. when, oh when is enough?

And how about our older story how certain  shower heads and gas fireplaces are being done away with by the EPA?

Secretary of Energy Chu rules out gas fireplaces and Showerheads Read story here

When it comes to killing jobs and shipping them to China nothing accomplishes it faster than the phony “Green” movement. Idiots like Sen. Barbara Boxer have spent decades dismantling California’s economy with their environmental extremism.

From Hot Air:

From W.P:

The resulting savings in energy and greenhouse-gas emissions are expected to be immense.

Savor that for a moment.  These 14 words are the sum total of the justification offered in the WaPo narrative for all the economic perturbation the story then proceeds to describe.  The climax of the tale is a bunch of Americans losing their manufacturing jobs, as a whole industry is reorganized and transformed.  But WaPo’s writers examine everything about this story except the original reasoning for the political decision

The election of Barack Obama took California’s job killing green crusade nationwide. Now we’re all paying the price for Al Gore’s fantasies about a warming earth.

The Washington Post is reporting on the closure of the last GE factory in the US that makes incandescent light bulbs. The 200+ workers at that plant are about to join the millions of other Americans who are out of work.

Why did this happen? Because politicians in Washington decided what kind of light bulb we should use. In 2007, a so-called “energy conservation measure” passed by Congress set standards that basically banned the manufacture of incandescent light bulbs by 2014 (a mere 4 years from now).
