AG Jeff Sessions: “I’m Confident” Deputy AG Rosenstein Did Not Threaten Members of Congress

Sessions breeches..There has been a sighting with no less than Tucker Carlson. In celebration I will give you this piece of the interview which only proves some wishes are best left unfilled. In this case, watching Sessions churn and justify his department in general and in one Rod Rosenstein in particular, just might give one agita.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions joined Tucker Carlson to discuss the shocking revelation today that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened members of Congress.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to subpoena emails, phone records and other documents of Republican lawmakers on the House Intel Committee back in January, confirming previous reports.

On Tuesday night Jeff Sessions told Tucker Carlson that he did not believe Rosenstein threatened Congress.

Jeff Sessions: well, I don’t know if they’ve confirmed that exactly. In fact the FBI Director, the senior ethics attorney for the Department of Justice who was in the room said that is a mischaracterization of really of what occurred… We understand in this department that we are accountable to the president and are accountable to Congress. (A real knee slapper – chuckle time.)

Tucker Carlson: Did the Deputy Attorney General threaten to subpoena the email or phone records of the members of the House Intel Committee?

Jeff Sessions: All I can say is Chris Wray and the senior ethics attorney and others and did not see it in that same fashion.

FLASHBACK: AG Sessions said he will not prosecute Clinton or any deep State Criminals

America’s Watchtower brings us this headline:  Republican lawmakers send criminal referrals to Jeff Sessions for Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, and Loretta Lynch

Wander over for his take on it. Here is more from Breitbart.

But before you slide over, let me give you a flashback headline from B-ville October, 2017.

AG Sessions says he will not prosecute Clinton or any deep state criminals

Jason Chaffetz, former House of Representatives member and Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was on Justice with Judge Janine Pirro Saturday night and he again dropped a BOMBSHELL about Attorney General Jeff Sessions:

Judge Janine: …What can you do?

Chaffetz: Yeah, the State Department has been holding tens of thousands of documents on a case that they claim is closed.  And when I met with Attorney General Sessions much like Ron DeSantis did, I basically got a stiff arm.  I got an Attorney General that said he would not comply, he wasn’t going to do any sort of prosecutions and it’s such a huge difference.  When he was a Senator he would have never put up with that.Judge Janine went on to ask if Sessions was afraid of them (i.e. deep state)?  She also asked if they all (Congress and Washington politicians) had so many skeletons?  The Judge then correctly stated that this is driving Americans crazy and the American people have had it!

When asked whether Jeff Sessions should be out, Chaffetz correctly responded, “Well I don’t know what the case is to keep him!”

Back to  America’s Watchtower:

House Republicans have reportedly sent criminal referrals to Jeff Sessions for Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Loretta Lynch, Peter Strzok, and Lisa Page. Here is more:

Republican lawmakers on Wednesday sent a slew of criminal referrals to Attorney General Jeff Sessions for a number of Obama administration officials and senior FBI employees for violations of the law in connection to the Clinton email and Trump-Russia investigations.

Specifically, they sent criminal referrals to Sessions for: former FBI Director James Comey, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, as well as FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok and his lover, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, for separate violations.

Snip…

I agree, these people should be held to the same standard as ordinary Americans, but does anybody really believe anything is going to come from this? Jeff Sessions has probably already sent these recommendations to the circular file.

The one possible exception could be Andrew McCabe after an FBI Inspector General report found he lied multiple times while under oath. This report will be hard to ignore by an honest Attorney General but we have Jeff Sessions so, as in the case with the others, I would not hold my breath waiting for justice.

Sessions dines with Rosenstein after fight with Trump

So Sessions isn’t going to roll over. By now you no doubt have heard about the back and forth between Sessions and Trump yesterday over Sessions remarks about leaving the Inspector General to look into the FISA abuse. With that, he dines of course with Rosenstein who signed off on at least one FISA application. (I hadn’t realized how short he is,) Here you go– more pics over at Zero Hedge

While it’s anyone’s guess what the trio discussed, the image of Sessions, dining with Rosenstein – who signed off on one or more “Steele dossier” FISA applications – is unmistakable: Sessions enjoys the culinary delights of the swamp.

From refusing to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate the suspected Awan family spy ring, to seemingly covering for the FBI’s mishandling of evidence in the Uranium One case – which Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein were directly involved in, to now relegating the FISA abuse investigation to the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) instead of appointing a second Special Counsel – many believe Sessions has been stonewalling for the establishment. Sessions unleashes prosecutors to go after pot, reverses Obama policy

This is one dumb move as far as I am concerned. If Trump needs big bucks to rise up and come out against him, this is the magic button. Trump has said leave it to the States. Now Sessions is apparently going rogue. This will get the kiddies out to vote in 2018 you best believe it. All the medical pot users too as well as all who have invested in this.

I am no fan of Pot, but this will lose the government for the GOP.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Thursday rolled back an Obama-era policy that allowed legal marijuana to thrive without federal intervention.

The move effectively unleashes federal prosecutors to consider bringing marijuana cases, while stopping short of ordering them to do so.

“U.S. attorneys need to make decisions in these cases as they do in other drugs cases,” a senior DOJ official told Fox News.

The Obama administration back in 2013 announced via a memo from then-Deputy Attorney General James Cole that it would not obstruct states that legalized marijuana, on the condition the drug was regulated so as not to hinder key federal enforcement priorities. This included preventing the drug from being distributed to minors, preventing its movement to other states, and preventing it from being used as a cover for the trafficking of other drugs.

The Department of Justice announced Thursday that it had rescinded that memo, as well as related guidance from 2009. More atFox News

AG Sessions says he will not prosecute Clinton or any deep state criminals

I can’t say that this news comes as any great surprise. It was getting abundantly clear that Sessions was now part of the swamp. Chaffetz in an interview with Judge Pirro confirms our worse fears, Sessions wanted this job oh so badly and claims it was a job of a lifetime. Yet no one has been more dangerous to Trump than this man. It was he, and he alone that caused this whole ridiculous investigation by recusing himself over a couple of trivial meetings with some Russians. A patriot would disband the whole lot of Mueller et al.

Jason Chaffetz, former House of Representatives member and Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was on Justice with Judge Janine Pirro Saturday night and he again dropped a BOMBSHELL about Attorney General Jeff Sessions:

DOJ indicts 15 in ‘Chop Chop’ for eagles, fails to charge against sale of baby parts

In this grisly story, we learn that the DOJ apparently is more concerned about the sale of illegal bird body parts than parts of aborted babies even thought they are ten times more valuable:

The Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) has yet to respond to letters from the chairs of congressional committees that made criminal referrals regarding allegations that Planned Parenthood and its partners in the biomedical procurement industry profited from the sale of the body parts of aborted babies.

In a stunning contrast, however, the DOJ has indicted 15 individuals for illegally trafficking the body parts of eagles and other migratory birds.

In April, following a two-year undercover operation known as Project Dakota Flyer, the U.S. Attorney’s office in South Dakota announced the indictments of 15 individuals for illegally trafficking eagle body parts.

The indictments in the eagle body parts trafficking cases are based on “the sale and purchase of wildlife with a market value in excess of $350,” while the CMP videos and the congressional committees showed StemExpress to be selling the body parts of aborted babies from Planned Parenthood for prices in excess of $500.

In one exhibit, the House Select Panel’s investigation highlighted the fees paid for the baby body parts by the procurement businesses to the abortion clinics, and then the fees charged by the procurement businesses to their customers for those same parts.

“The records subpoenaed by Congress show Planned Parenthood making ten times more money off of baby body parts than the amounts that got the eagle traffickers indicted, and companies like StemExpress sell aborted baby body parts from Planned Parenthood at prices far higher than the eagle body parts traffickers are charged with,” Daleiden explains to Breitbart News.

In the illegal eagle trafficking cases, U.S. Attorney Seiler accused the defendants of a lack of reverence for the eagles – a national symbol.

‘‘There was no cultural sensitivity,” he said. “There was no spirituality.’’

Let’s not save private Paul Ryan from himself

The so-called conservative Paul Ryan is going to set Donald Trump straight this week. Decide if he can support him? Really? I keep hearing how conservative he is. Explain to me why he passed this last boondoggle of a budget. Why there is no funding for the border fence that was approved years ago. Yet he can fund Obamacare and everything else of Obama. Explain why he supports the massive numbers of “refugees’ that we know nothing about. Vetting? Who cares. We took care of Cantor, let’s not save private Ryan. He is being primaried this year. Here it is:

Reports have previously noted that one of Ryan’s central disagreements with Trump stems from Trump’s pledge to enact a temporary pause on Muslim migration — a policy Speaker Ryan publicly denounced even though, according to exit polling data, seven in ten GOP Wisconsin voters support Trump’s plan.

Trump’s proposal “is not what this party stands for. And more importantly, it’s not what this country stands for,” Ryan said in December.

In the next eight months, the U.S. will issue more visas to Muslim migrants than the number of GOP voters in Ryan’s district.

Yet, not only does Ryan oppose the temporary migration pause, he has pushed to expand Muslim migration. Ryan has a two-decade long history to pushing to expand immigration rates and has championed legislation that expanded Muslim migration. Last December, Ryan ushered his omnibus spending bill through Congress, which funded visa insurances for nearly 300,000 Muslim migrants, temporary and permanent, over a 12-month time span.

In an interview with Sean Hannity in November, Ryan said that he does not support any kind of “religious test” for determining who is admitted entrance into the country — even if the would-be migrants believe that “women can’t drive [and] can’t be seen in public without a male relative.”

Several candidates — Lindsey Graham, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, and Marco Rubio — all ran on Ryan’s platform and lost by immense margins. Similarly, Mitt Romney also ran on the Ryan platform and lost in a landslide, as did Eric Cantor in his own Congressional District.

As Breitbart News reported last December, Paul Ryan has a border fence around his property even though his omnibus spending bill did not provide funding for the mandatory completion of a 700-mile double-layer border fence that Congress promised the American people nearly a decade ago when it passed the 2006 Secure Fence Act.

The U.S. admitted 59 million immigrants between the Kennedy-LBJ immigration bill in 1965 and 2015, remaking America politically and demographically and reversing the middle class gains experienced by African-Americans.

Only 7% of GOP voters, according to Pew, favor more immigration. Paul Ryan, the lead champion for more immigration in Congress, is the highest-ranking Republican official in the land.
