The Great Wall of Chi … er, America

The Great Wall of Chi … er, America

by Mustang

A small fence separates densely populated Tijuana, Mexico, right, from the United States in the Border Patrol’s San Diego Sector.

All we hear in the press these days is the twaddle that surrounds the so-called Trump Wall.  One would think that this whole thing began about the time Donald Trump announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States.  Actually, the discussion has been ongoing for quite some time.

Congress mandated construction of a border all along 670 miles of the US-Mexico border as part of the Secure Fence Act of 2006; the Consolidated Appropriations Act of FY-2008 extended the mandate to an additional 370 miles.  The actual distance between Brownsville, Texas and San Diego, California is 1,553 miles.

According to some, the US plan for a southern wall has generated “significant” opposition and demands for further consultation and deliberation, most of this from among those who fervently believe that open borders best suit the national interests, and from among international sources who should benefit most from open borders.  This is no doubt partially true.  There are also demands for the construction of a barrier to illegal trespass across the US southern border with Mexico.

Constructing a wall along the southern border is not an easy task.  Congress, in favor of a wall in 2006 now appears opposed to it … or at least, its cost.  Forgotten in this discussion is the cost of not having a hardened border with Mexico.  Given our entire history with Mexico, it imprudent not to have a barrier that channels people to certain entry points to the United States.  That issue aside, the wall will also require consideration of private property rights, environmental concerns, and the question of Indian lands (formerly called reservations); a wall might actually divide these properties between two countries.

The wall, if it is ever constructed, will not be a solid barrier along the entire border region, Texas to California.  Nor has this ever been proposed.  The wall will be segmented, and there will be significant gaps between these segments.  For example, the wall will extend from the Pacific Ocean south of San Diego, to El Centro, California.

The wall begins again south of Yuma, Arizona.  The distance between these two cities is over 60 miles.  If a single border patrolman could effectively monitor a single linear mile, it would take more than 180 patrolmen to secure this open segment over a 24-hour period, although even more patrol officers might be required during hours of darkness without additional technological monitoring devices.

After Trump’s speech on immigration, the totally subjective National Public Radio did an analysis and “fact check” of the points Mr. Trump made.  One of these analyses concluded, “Trump has made crime committed by immigrants in the U.S. illegally a major theme of his campaign. While he has spotlighted several real cases of murders committed by people in the country illegally, the context here is important.  Multiple analyses have found that immigrants commit violent crime at a lower rate than those born in the United States.” — Source: Sarah McCammon, NPR.

Of course, NPR analyst McCammon only cited one source (not multiple), which happened to be conclusions fielded by the American Immigration Council, a liberal advocacy group for unrestricted immigration.

Well, of course crimes committed by illegal immigrants would be at a lower rate given the fact that the US population is around 330 million, and the illegal alien population around five percent of that.  These criticisms of Trump are not very helpful, particularly since it wasn’t Trump that came up with the idea to begin with.

The Democratically controlled Congress led by Nancy Pelosi did that.  Moreover, NPR is promulgating dishonest, completely subjective information for public consumption.  Ignoring that, what does it matter?  If illegal aliens committing crimes were not in the US to begin with, victim’s lives (however many were lost) would have been saved.

In any case, this NPR report is precisely why the American people give little credibility to the American press.  I do wonder if members of the press realize how irrelevant they’ve become.

Jim Acosta proves again that intelligence is hard to come by sometimes. He actually makes the point that walls work.

“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” “How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice. “You must be,” said the Cat, or you wouldn’t have come here.”

Are all ‘immigrants’ the same?

I for one am weary of the trope that simply we are all children of immigrants. Thus the more the merrier. Just let those in that wail at our border today. Well, yes and no. Not  quite the same thing. Because this is the difference.

From the cesspool of foreign soil come our neighbors from the South. Bringing their virus of social unrest to the land of opportunity. Once here, they prosper. In return for our hospitality that comes in the form of healthcare, education, living expenses such as housing and food, their virus of social unrest re-emerges.

Not content with the success at life they now have, they turn on their benefactor. They would have their host destroyed. The very system of government that gave them so much must be overturned. They would have America turn into the very cesspool they chose to escape.

One more thing. Sure, bring it along.

The people behind the Mexican “Caravan”

Just who is behind the so-called Caravan? A Communist. No big surprise. And we knew they were coming again.

Last April a dry run of a so called “Caravan” of illegals headed our way. Yet Congress did nothing. After all Paul Ryan has always promoted open borders. But that is a story for another day. So let’s take a look and I will include a post I did earlier this year.

The entity chiefly responsible for organizing and leading this horde of migrants – euphemistically dubbed a “caravan” by most media outlets – is Pueblo Sin Fronteras (PSF, “People Without Borders”), a Chicago-based nonprofit organization founded in 2001 by Roberto Corona, a Mexican-born activist dedicated to promoting the rights of illegal aliens in the United States. PSF is a sister group to two other Chicago-based entities, Centro Sin Fronteras (CSF) and its outgrowth, La Familia Latina Unida (LFLU, “The United Latin Family”).

PSF is a member of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON), which seeks to “protect and expand [the] civil, labor, and human rights” of day laborers in America, of whom approximately 75% are illegal aliens. Moreover, NDLON aims to “mobilize” and “organize” these workers as a unified, politically active demographic, and to force employers to establish “safer more humane environments” wherein day laborers can “earn a living” that enables them to “contribute to society and integrate into the community.”

PSF’s executive director is Emma Lozano, a left-wing activist who serves as co-pastor of the Lincoln United Methodist Church in Chicago, and as the president and founder of Centro Sin Fronteras. Ms. Lozano’s late brother, the left-wing community organizer Rudy Lozano, was the father of Pepe Lozano, an activist with the Communist Party USA and the Young Communist League.

At the Lincoln United Methodist Church in 2014, PSF held a workshop that helped some 600 people apply or reapply for protection under President Barack Obama‘s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) executive action of 2012, which shielded hundreds of thousands of young illegal aliens (under age 31) from deportation.

Last spring, PSF helped organize a “caravan” wherein hundreds of asylum-seeking migrants from Central America resolved to enter the United States illegally. The co-organizer of that “caravan” was the CARA Family Detention Pro Bono Project, a coalition composed of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, the American Immigration Council, the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

On March 23, 2018, PSF publicized the aforementioned “caravan” by issuing a press release demanding that Mexico and the United States “respect our rights as refugees and our right to dignified work to be able to support our families”; “open the[ir] borders to us because we are as much citizens as the people of the countries where we are and/or travel”; and end all “deportations which destroy families.” Ultimately, the PSF-led group disbanded in Mexico City and never reached the United States.

In an October 21 press release, PSF accused Trump and the United States of using “repressive tactics” to inflict “fear and racism” on the people of Central America. Moreover, the organization demanded that Mexico declare itself a “sanctuary country” with wide-open borders.

Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland – one of many congressional Democrats who likewise have sided with the thousands of “caravan” members defying American law – has stated that the migrants  “should be allowed to come in” to the United States and “seek asylum” immediately. Cummings’ position is emblematic of the fact that the Democratic Party has demonstrably and irrefutably become a party whose principal objective is to thoroughly transform the nature of the American electorate by means of open borders and the mass, unchecked importation of illiterate Third World peasants who will vote in overwhelming numbers for Democrats from now until the end of time.

Illegal Caravan Releases List of Demands and Expects Trump to Follow

Recall it was Obama who started this whole nonsense:

On Monday, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Guatemalan president Otto Perez Molina held a joint press conference in Playas de Catazaja, Mexico, to officially announce an agreement to make it easier for those making the illegal journey to the United States from Central America, to cross into Mexico.

The Southern Border Program to Improve Passage, will provide for more border checkpoints along Mexico’s border with Guatemala, and offer more protection and even emergency medical care to those making their way north. The illegal aliens will receive a so-called Regional Visitor’s Card, according to El Universal.

Look at the demands of those who are speeding their way to our border in the embedded press release link below:

A caravan of 1,500 people funneling through Mexico towards the U.S. border have released a list of demands that President Trump is expected to comply with, including unfettered access to the United States.

Pueblo sin Fronteras, the political outreach group who organized the caravan, released a press statement for the United States, Mexico, and their respective Central American governments.

“We demand of the Mexico and the United States: that they respect our rights as refugees and our right to dignified work to be able to support our families,” the statements reads.

The second demand is “that they open the borders to us because we are as much citizens as the people of the countries where we are and/or travel.”

A look at the Pueblo sin Fronteras group website shows that they have extensive experience leading caravans of migrants across different countries illegally.
“Our mission is to provide shelter and safety to migrants and refugees in transit, accompany them in their journey, and together demand respect for our human rights,” says the group’s Facebook page.“Our dream is to build solidarity bridges among peoples and turndown border walls imposed by greed.”In the face of this clear PR stunt orchestrated by leftist advocates, Trump has already shut down any notion of letting the caravan into the U.S., accusing Mexico of facilitating the groups trying to take advantage of the DACA situation.“These big flows of people are all trying to take advantage of DACA. They want in on the act!” tweeted the president on Sunday.

Stone Age Tribe wants to maintain culture – does that make them racist?

It’s amazing that the so-called Neolithic tribe that has not dealt with modern civilization are protected against outsiders in order to maintain their culture. By now, most have heard about the man who attempted to contact them and was killed.

Am I the only one that finds this exceedingly rich. How about our culture? What if we find it desirable and in our best interest to maintain our culture? Apparently a tribe out of the stone age has more rights than we as U.S. citizens. Are they racist for wanting to protect themselves and way of life?

“I for one will not be condemning the Sentinelese as racist for keeping their borders closed, nor will I condemn them for their lack of diversity,”

Well said! Australian says they have a right to protect their culture!

An Australian politician known for her staunch anti-immigration policy has praised a remote Indian island tribe for defending their way of life after reportedly killing an American missionary with bows and arrows earlier this month.

Sen. Pauline Hanson, of the country’s One Nation Party, filed a motion on Tuesday calling for the Senate to “support the desire of the Sentinelese people to protect their culture and way of life,” Australia’s ABC News reported.

“I for one will not be condemning the Sentinelese as racist for keeping their borders closed, nor will I condemn them for their lack of diversity,” Hanson said.

“You would be hard pressed to find a single expert who would argue against protecting the Sentinelese people’s culture and way of life through limiting migration to their island,” Hanson said.

Visitation to North Sentinel Island is heavily restricted by the Indian government and contact with the Sentinelese tribe that lives there is illegal, in order to protect their indigenous way of life and prevent the spread of diseases.

Mother looks on as child steals woman’s purse – Todays childrearing?

Those who start out thinking they have a right to our stuff are here and more to follow.

Of course by now we have seen the “iconic” picture of a mother with her kids trying to run the border yesterday and feeling the effects of pepper spray. We now are hearing they are being gassed. I picked this up from Moonbattery and what is going on in Africa has nothing to do with being Black. It is about sharing values. We for one do not approve of teaching kids to take people’s stuff. Why do I think the so-called “Caravan” of which the majority are young men do no share our Judaeo-Christian values?

Poverty is not caused by lack of economic opportunity. At the cultural level (and in Western countries at the individual level as well), people make their own opportunity. It is caused by lack of character. This is passed along from one generation to the next. Those who believe they are entitled to other people’s property will always be losers.

Mexicans revolt over illegal immigration ‘caravan’

Here is what the media isn’t telling you or more importantly not showing. We had been hearing how the Mexicans are embracing all of those headed our way. The so-called caravan of so many “Nuclear families” are going nuclear in Tijuana and apparently not so many are made up of Mom Dad and a couple of kids. No, they are just the opposite and the citizens have had enough apparently. Looks like Trump is taking about 100 applicants a day for asylum. That should take a couple of years.

I’m waiting for the segment where CNN and MSNBC explain to us why Mexicans are white supremacists…

On Sunday, displeased Tijuana residents waved Mexican flags, sang the Mexican national anthem and chanted “Out! Out!” in front of a statue of the Aztec ruler Cuauhtémoc, one mile (1.6km) from the US border. They accused the migrants of being messy, ungrateful and a danger to Tijuana. They also complained about how the caravan forced its way into Mexico, calling it an “invasion”. And they voiced worries that their taxes might be spent to care for the group.

“We don’t want them in Tijuana,” protesters shouted.
