Kavanaugh’s nomination doomed? Does it fire up voters or demoralize

I don’t have much to add to Laura Ingraham’s tweet. Grassley, the senile old coot negotiating the testimony of these “accusers” was and is a joke. Anyone who watched the hearing could have figured it. You know the drill. Trombone player Grassley – he says he feels like a second trombone player – needs this laid at his feet.

The only question is what will be the GOP voters response? Demoralized or fired up? Not to say I want to say I told you so, but I told you so. Once I posted Rosenstein’s involvement I knew we were through. Rosenstein’s 300 Attorneys ‘helped’ vet Kavanaugh – now Sexual abuse charges

Laura Ingraham Tweet:

Republicans on the Committee—you allowed this coordinated smear storm on Kavanaugh and blew up the process. Ken Starr was right—last Thurs vote shd never have been moved.

Kavanaugh Accuser hearing delayed- trombone player Grassley folds

No doubt Grassley didn’t have the votes. Either way, Grassley appeared at Kavanaugh’s hearing  like a man who was way past the second trombone player. His groin appears to be missing a pair.

Anyone who watched the Kavanaugh hearing knows. His staffer behind him was forever passing Grassley notes and correcting him. “We will be moving into executive session.” Note passed by staffer- “No, we will be moving to closed sessions.” as an example.

His tweets about delaying the hearing from Ford testifying proves my point. These tweets do not sound like a man on the top of his game. Then he has cohort Feinstein leading him by the nose. Anyway, I am done with this post.

Grassley’s broken trombone

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) announced late Friday night via Twitter that he has caved on his 10 p.m. EDT deadline for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford to decide on testifying before the committee about her uncorroborated charges accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting decades ago at a drunken high school pool party.

Grassley’s three part statement:

Five times now we have granted extension for Dr Ford to decide if she wants to proceed w her desire stated one wk ago that she wants to tell senate her story Dr Ford if u changed ur mind say so so we can move on I want to hear ur testimony. Come to us or we to u

Judge Kavanaugh I just granted another extension to Dr Ford to decide if she wants to proceed w the statement she made last week to testify to the senate She shld decide so we can move on I want to hear her. I hope u understand. It’s not my normal approach to b indecisive

With all the extensions we give Dr Ford to decide if she still wants to testify to the Senate I feel like I’m playing 2nd trombone in the judiciary orchestra and Schumer is the conductor”

Oh lordy, Grassley says Comey likely leaked classified information

Oh lordy – Wouldn’t this be the cats meow? Nailing Comey would be rich indeed. Of course, it’s in the hands of Rosenstein..not Sessions who is out there counting Pot plants and MS-13 gang bangers down Mexico way. I guess going after the swamp creatures is below his pay grade. There are rumblings that things are happening over at the DOJ with Hillary but I wouldn’t bet money on a happy outcome:

A top Republican senator said Wednesday that it appears former FBI Director James Comey leaked classified information in his effort to shape the narrative surrounding President Trump’s decision to fir

Report: Memos that ex-FBI Director Comey leaked to a professor to defend Comey in the press are so sensitive, lead Senator was only allowed to view them in secret room SCIF. Some of leaked info was classified.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley said Mr. Comey wrote seven memos, and shared four of them with a professor he was using as an intermediary to defend him. Of the seven, four are marked at the confidential or secret level — meaning at least one of the memos Mr. Comey shared contained restricted information.

Mr. Grassley now wants to know when and how the memos were deemed classified, and what that might mean for Mr. Comey.

The Iowa Republican fired off a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein demanding answers.
