Tucker Carlson blind sides Trey Gowdy on his conflicting Russiagate stories

Tucker flattens Gowdy last night and it was a beautiful thing. Yesterday I posted that Gaetz pulled the first string on Gowdy’s unraveling at the end of the Hannity program on Friday.Representative Gaetz blasts Gowdy, Ryan for not using subpoenas

Didn’t take the drums long to start to pound on Hannity’s program and he was quickly wisked off the air….. I will add a few portions of earlier posts just to tie the bow on the package.

Here we go with Tucker last night…….

Trey Gowdy, Judge Napalitano flip on Trump – ‘Mueller doing it by the book’

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) recently suggested the FBI did nothing wrong when it used at least one government informant to secretly collect information on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Public reports indicate, however, that Gowdy never even reviewed the relevant documents on the matter subpoenaed by Congress. In fact, a spokeswoman for Gowdy told The Federalist that the congressman doesn’t even know what documents and records were subpoenaed by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).

The briefing Gowdy and other lawmakers attended was scheduled at the behest of the White House after the Department of Justice (DOJ) obstructed the subpoena.

Activists and journalists were thrilled with Gowdy’s comments exonerating the FBI, claiming they “debunked” any concerns that people have about FBI behavior. CNN’s Manu Raju claimed, without providing evidence, that Gowdy had “seen the intel.”

Here we have Napolitano on Gowdy’s disputing of Trump’s ‘spygate’ claims. Included clips from the field day the MSM is having with it.

I guess we knew this was coming. Earlier this year:

Many of us bloggers wondered why the story

Uranium One Informant spills the beans yesterday to congress, no recording taken

Guess who is chair of the Committee and the members? Guess who is retiring? The likely suspects?

  • Trey Gowdy, South Carolina, Chair.
  • Jimmy Duncan, Tennessee.
  • Darrell Issa, California.
  • Jim Jordan, Ohio.
  • Mark Sanford, South Carolina.
  • Justin Amash, Michigan.
  • Paul Gosar, Arizona.
  • Scott DesJarlais, Tennessee.

I will let you connect the dots….. Gowdy has been on Trump’s tail and throwing him under the bus all week, why?

Other than that all is well in the swamp.

Representative Gaetz blasts Gowdy, Ryan for not using subpoenas

Gaetz nails Gowdy. On Friday as Hannity was wrapping up with Gaetz, Gaetz lays it on.This right after having Gowdy on with Hannity praising what wonderful questioning of witnesses Gowdy had done. Here is one of the best take downs from the weekend. Gowdy is now the big man on campus and has moved on to make his bucks at Fox. Are we to forget?

Of course Goodlatte and Gowdy moved on.

Two top Republican chairmen stressed Friday that the final report from special counsel Robert Mueller “must be trusted by Americans.”

In closing out their joint committee investigation into decisions made by the Justice Department, Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., and Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., took a shot at their Democratic counterparts for playing up concerns that their probe was a campaign to undermine Mueller.

“Contrary to Democrat and media claims, there has been no effort to discredit the work of the Special Counsel,” Gowdy and Goodlatte wrote in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, and the DOJ inspector general. “Quite the opposite, whatever product is produced by the Special Counsel must be trusted by Americans and that requires asking tough but fair questions about investigative techniques both employed and not employed.”

The two retiring Republicans said their committees “have assiduously avoided interfering with any ongoing criminal, counter-intelligence, administrative, or judicial reviews of conduct engaged in 2016 or 2017.”

Other than than this, all is well in the swamp.

Trump’s Et tu Brute – the second act ‘Russia’ is well underway

This is the “telI” on how the spying is going to be justified. Now we know why the Dems made such an issue over the use of the word “spying” at the hearing. See, they were just doing “surveillance.” “Counterintelligence.” “Informants versus Spies.” Trump asked for it don’t you know. We now know how the second act is going to play. Here is a flashback Saturday pick from May, 2018 that tells us how this will roll.

Trump has and had few friends through this Russia ordeal he has gone through these past couple of years. Let’s remember the ones still in office in 2020.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) recently suggested the FBI did nothing wrong when it used at least one government informant to secretly collect information on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. (May, 2018)

MSNBC via Morning Joe and Mika, CNN, CBS, et al, were ecstatic with the Trey Gowdy road show. He is making the rounds on TV with his take on the Mueller investigation.

Mueller is “following the book” with his investigation so he says.

Gowdy is packing up his swamp bags this year and calling it a day as far as Congress goes. Just setting himself up for the usual big bucks to follow.

I thought he was one of the good guys. But then, that is what I thought about Sessions. Even worse, Napalitano was more than happy to flip as well.  His comment that Gowdy had seen  the documents apparently thus changed his mind, when in fact nothing was produced last Friday (2018). Just the Swamp’s view of the world.
