George Will: GOP terrified of its own voters

Of course the GOP is more than happy to sell out Orange Man to the Dems with a 9/11 type investigation into January 6. Susan Collins and Romney are on board. More interesting is how George Will spins this on “This Week” on Sunday with George Stephanopoulos. Let’s keep the charade of January 6 alive until 2022. Meanwhile the GOP expresses little interest in the mayhem and murder Antifa and BLM are perpetrating.

This Week:

Republican leadership in the House and Senate — and Trump — came out against the proposed commission. Collins, as one of the seven Republican senators who voted to convict Trump, is one of the most likely “yes” votes on the GOP side, but that small group of Republicans is already differing from their House counterparts with North Carolina’s Richard Burr coming out against the bill, even though he voted to convict Trump in the impeachment trial.

However, the Maine senator told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos she’s “optimistic.

Just a few years ago… recall 2016?

Trump Inaugural

The so called “terror” just might be sending all of these GOPers Reps packing.

Volume up! Looks like a dangerous crowd to me don’t you think. Of course this is after the police invited them in but I already discussed that.

U.S. Capitol Police Gave Protesters OK To Enter Capitol

Rumble — In this short clip, Capitol Police officer Keith Robishaw warns protesters—including “Q shaman” Jacob Chansley—inside the Capitol Building on January 6 against using violence. Chansley and another protester are then seen instructing other protesters to be nonviolent as they exercise their right to assemble.

A newly-obtained video shows United States Capitol Police officers speaking with several January 6 protestors—including Jacob Chansley, the so-called “Q shaman”—inside the Capitol that afternoon.

One officer, identified in the video and confirmed by charging documents as Officer Keith Robishaw, appears to tell Chansely’s group they won’t stop them from entering the building. “We’re not against . . . you need to show us . . . no attacking, no assault, remain calm,” Robishaw warns. Chansley and another protestor instruct the crowd to act peacefully. “This has to be peaceful,” Chansley yelled. “We have the right to peacefully assemble.”

‘No Constitutional Rights Issue’ in Forcing Catholics to Act Against Their Faith

Many have already posted about this issue, but there is something about the video I include, hearing Jay Carney opine, gives me that adrenaline rush of anger. Two points I will make. One, note that Carney says it was “the Institute” that made this decision. Recall the now infamous “death Panels” that Sarah Palin warned us about, and was excoriated. The second point, recall the George Stephanopoulos smack down over Contraception during one of the debates? We could not understand where he was coming from? Could it be possible that he knew this was coming, and wanted to get Romney, et al on the record? What a coincidence now. Here we go.

CNS News:

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney says there are no “constitutional rights issues” involved in a regulation issued by the administration that requires all health-care plans in the United States to cover sterilizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives, including those that induce abortions.

Because the Catholic Church holds that sterilization, artificial contraception and abortion are morally wrong and Catholic cannot be involved in them, the regulation in combination with the Obamacare mandate that all Americans buy health insurance will force American Catholics to choose between following the federal regulation or following the teachings of their church.

The regulation includes an exemption for “religious” employers, but to qualify for the exemption an employer must primarily employ people of its own faith, primarily serve people of its own faith, and primarily be involved in inculcating the tenets of the faith. In their comments to HHS on the regulation, the Catholic bishops said this “religious” exemption was so narrow Jesus Himself would not qualify for it.

Bill Maher: ‘Cain at least eats with a knife and fork’,

The Conservative Guild snagged this one. If you haven’t visited his blog, wander on over. Sorry, you lose. No outrage yet. Here is his take

Yes, you read that right.  Bill Maher, after the mention of Herman Cain’s lead over Romney, says Romney is the only thing standing between us and the rise of the apes.  This comment was made during an interview given by George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s Good Morning America, Monday morning.

If this doesn’t make the headlines tomorrow, and if this isn’t one of the top stories on the MSM news programs, we will all know for certainty the double-standard hypocrisy of the Leftists

MAHER: I’m rooting for him. You know? Because, look, in a country with only two parties, the Republican can always win. I mean, at least he eats with a knife and fork. I mean, he is all that stands between us and the rise of the apes.
