We are close to coming to the end of the Grand Old Party. Last night on Mark Levin, as well as Soledad O’Brien on CNN, interviews were held with Conservative favorite and rising star Allen West.
West:
“Take your message of equality of achievement, take your message of economic dependency, take your message of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else. You can take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States of America.”
Mark Levin’s interview regarding redistricting with West last night
They are attempting to re-district him into oblivion as well as others who show promise. They are doing all they can to diminish him, as well as the other “up start” Tea Party folks. Florida is adding two house seats due to redistricting. There is simply no reason to put him in a District that is made up of a majority of Democrats. How soon they forget what brought them to victory such a short time ago. Rest in Peace GOP, Rest in Peace if you continue this charade. P.S. “In the tank for Romney”,Matt Drudge has nothing on this, yet rales against Gingrich. Here we go:
UPDATE: Silver Fiddle sent this link from a Florida site that sheds more light on this than my post: http://shark-tank.net/2012/01/10/24080/
We’re seeing how the RINOs want to take their Party back. Romney operatives, with the help of McCain and Dole, are trying to redistrict Allen West out of his seat.
[U]nder a redistricting plan put forth by the GOP-controlled Florida legislature, West could have a hard time winning a second term — a situation that has some conservatives suggesting a conspiracy by establishment Republicans, including GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. . . . Some are pointing out that House Redistricting Chairman Will Weatherford has been a Romney surrogate and suggesting the former Massachusetts governor wants to be rid of West — and, by extension, the Tea Party. Romney knows that if he’s elected West will be a thorn in his side. Better a Democrat than a Republican who speaks his mind.
Ohio Republicans are rewriting the rules in an attempt to exclude TEA Party members from being members of the State Central Committee. Establishment Republicans want Tea Party members out of office so they can spend our confiscated tax dollars their way.
Republicans haven’t been that concerned about spending limits, deficits, and long-term liabilities. In fact, they have used the looseness of the rules to pay their political benefactors with payouts to keep them in power. The Democrats are honest about their payouts; Republicans have learned to lie well.

Update: Sean Trende, the senior elections analyst at RealClearPolitics and author of “The Lost Majority,” e-mails to say that Florida’s redistricting law has tied the GOP’s hands on this. They have very little leeway on how they draw the new lines. Quote:
I can’t speak to the FL legislature’s motives, but it is nearly impossible to craft an R-leaning, non-Cuban district in SE FL under the current laws and comply with the Fair Districts Act. West’s current district runs up and down the Gold Coast, stretching inland in arms to gobble up Republican-leaning areas. It’s pretty thorough, and even then it is a swing district. Under Fair Districts, the Republican legislature can’t do that anymore. In fact, it is arguably stretching what it can do under the current iteration of West’s district. . .
