New Acting Attorney General Whitaker: ‘I would indict Hillary Clinton’

Yes, this should put a tingle in Hillary. There is a new sheriff in town. Big Bad John in the name of Matthew Whitaker who is taking over as Acting Attorney General for Jeff Sessions. Thanks Jeff for moving on. He is of the opinion that Hillary should be charged and penned such an op-ed several years ago.

WASHINGTON – Matthew Whitaker, who was named interim attorney general Wednesday after Jeff Sessions was fired, argued two years ago that Hillary Clinton should have been criminally charged.

In an opinion piece for USA TODAY, Whitaker disagreed with then-FBI Director James Comey that “no reasonable prosecutor” would indict Clinton for handling classified documents as secretary of State on a private email server.

“I believe myself to have been a reasonable prosecutor, and when the facts and evidence show a criminal violation has been committed, the individuals involved should not dictate whether the case is prosecuted,” wrote Whitaker, a former U.S. attorney.

He penned the piece while serving as executive director of the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust, a conservative watchdog group.

Read the op-ed piece:

Meanwhile Comey must be sweating bullets just hoping that the new Democrat controlled House will save his sorry butt. Eric is in panic mode as well.

Sessions dines with Rosenstein after fight with Trump

So Sessions isn’t going to roll over. By now you no doubt have heard about the back and forth between Sessions and Trump yesterday over Sessions remarks about leaving the Inspector General to look into the FISA abuse. With that, he dines of course with Rosenstein who signed off on at least one FISA application. (I hadn’t realized how short he is,) Here you go– more pics over at Zero Hedge

While it’s anyone’s guess what the trio discussed, the image of Sessions, dining with Rosenstein – who signed off on one or more “Steele dossier” FISA applications – is unmistakable: Sessions enjoys the culinary delights of the swamp.

From refusing to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate the suspected Awan family spy ring, to seemingly covering for the FBI’s mishandling of evidence in the Uranium One case – which Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein were directly involved in, to now relegating the FISA abuse investigation to the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) instead of appointing a second Special Counsel – many believe Sessions has been stonewalling for the establishment. AG Sessions says he will not prosecute Clinton or any deep state criminals

I can’t say that this news comes as any great surprise. It was getting abundantly clear that Sessions was now part of the swamp. Chaffetz in an interview with Judge Pirro confirms our worse fears, Sessions wanted this job oh so badly and claims it was a job of a lifetime. Yet no one has been more dangerous to Trump than this man. It was he, and he alone that caused this whole ridiculous investigation by recusing himself over a couple of trivial meetings with some Russians. A patriot would disband the whole lot of Mueller et al.

Jason Chaffetz, former House of Representatives member and Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was on Justice with Judge Janine Pirro Saturday night and he again dropped a BOMBSHELL about Attorney General Jeff Sessions:

Judge Janine: …What can you do?

Chaffetz: Yeah, the State Department has been holding tens of thousands of documents on a case that they claim is closed.  And when I met with Attorney General Sessions much like Ron DeSantis did, I basically got a stiff arm.  I got an Attorney General that said he would not comply, he wasn’t going to do any sort of prosecutions and it’s such a huge difference.  When he was a Senator he would have never put up with that.

Judge Janine went on to ask if Sessions was afraid of them (i.e. deep state)?  She also asked if they all (Congress and Washington politicians) had so many skeletons?  The Judge then correctly stated that this is driving Americans crazy and the American people have had it!

When asked whether Jeff Sessions should be out, Chaffetz correctly responded, “Well I don’t know what the case is to keep him!”

AG Lynch ‘pleads Fifth’ on secret Iran payments

While we watch Hillary gaze into the abyss of server hell, our gal Loretta has herself in a boatload of troubles. It seems that the loot that found its way to Iran for who knows what purpose came under her purview. Taking a page from Hillary, pleading the Fifth and otherwise keeping one’s mouth shut is best. I chose this topic for the corruption story of the day:

ag-lynch

Attorney General Loretta Lynch is declining to comply with an investigation by leading members of Congress about the Obama administration’s secret efforts to send Iran $1.7 billion in cash earlier this year, prompting accusations that Lynch has “pleaded the Fifth” Amendment to avoid incriminating herself over these payments, according to lawmakers and communications exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) and Rep. Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.) initially presented Lynch in October with a series of questions about how the cash payment to Iran was approved and delivered.

In an Oct. 24 response, Assistant Attorney General Peter Kadzik responded on Lynch’s behalf, refusing to answer the questions and informing the lawmakers that they are barred from publicly disclosing any details about the cash payment, which was bound up in a ransom deal aimed at freeing several American hostages from Iran.

The response from the attorney general’s office is “unacceptable” and provides evidence that Lynch has chosen to “essentially plead the fifth and refuse to respond to inquiries regarding [her] role in providing cash to the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism,” Rubio and Pompeo wrote on Friday in a follow-up letter to Lynch, according to a copy obtained by the Free Beacon.

FBI US Attorney investigation underway of Clinton Foundation

Good news today. Just when it looked like the Comey and Lynch fiasco had parked any hope of Clinton justice on the tarmac we get news that FBI investigations are under way. This fellow Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney General for New York is no slouch and has a ton of convictions notched on his belt. Here we go with the background:

In its 15 years of operations, the Clinton Foundation, formally known as the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, has collected up to $2 billion from donors, according to The Washington Post. The donors include a wide range of the world’s wealthiest people: Eastern European tycoons, Arab Sheiks, African mining magnates, hedge fund billionaires and Wall Street firms.

The Post reported that the couple brought in $3 billion when campaign contributions are included in the total. “The Clintons’ fundraising operation — $3 billion amassed by one couple, working in tandem for more than four decades — has no equal,” the Post reported in a wide-ranging investigation into the sources of the couple’s funds.

In a related development Thursday, CNN reported that earlier this year, Justice Department officials in three different field offices “were in agreement a public corruption investigation should be launched” of Clinton Foundation activities.

Multiple FBI investigations are underway involving potential corruption charges against the Clinton Foundation, according to a former senior law enforcement official.

The investigation centers on New York City where the Clinton Foundation has its main offices, according to the former official who has direct knowledge of the activities.

Prosecutorial support will come from various U.S. Attorneys Offices — a major departure from other centralized FBI investigations.

The New York-based probe is being led by Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. Bharara’s prosecutorial aggressiveness has resulted in a large number of convictions of banks, hedge funds and Wall Street insiders.

FBI James Comey, the ultimate chameleon who sold his soul?

James Comey, the ultimate Universal man, a wolf in sheep’s clothes or a chameleon? He has been a Prosecutor, Lobbyist, Hedge Fund operator, Chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. For some reason, Obama felt safe enough to appoint him head of the FBI. Now we know why. He can be bought and sold just like Ashcroft, Eric Holder and the rest of them. Comey fell on his sword for how many pieces of silver?

Let’s take a look. He has been everything but defending the little guy. From going after Martha Stewart cutting his chops as a public prosecutor, somehow played the game and got George Bush to appoint him Deputy Attorney General and landed under Ashcroft. How about his political bent?

He voted for Carter in 1980, but in ’84, Comey: “I voted for Reagan—I’d moved from Communist to whatever I am now. I’m not even sure how to characterize myself politically. Maybe at some point, I’ll have to figure it out.”

“I had no sense whether Jim was an R or a D,” says Eric Holder Jr., who worked closely with Comey when Holder was deputy attorney general to Janet Reno in the Clinton administration—and who remains a confirmed D.

Sounds like a man with a story. Where did he start? In law. He was a partner at firm McGuireWoods, where, among other things, he successfully defended a company against claims its machinery had caused asbestos-related injuries.

And from there? From there he moved into public prosecution and eventually came to the attention of President George W Bush, who appointed him deputy attorney general of the United States in 2003. But he left after two years in the role.

To do what? Sell tanks, bombs and jets to drop them from. He joined Lockheed Martin, one of the world’s largest defence contractors, as senior vice-president. (A Lobbyist)

In 2005, Comey left law enforcement for the defense industry, joining money-in-politics powerhouse Lockheed Martin. As senior vice president and general counsel he earned more than $6 million in compensation in his last full year with the company.

And then? Dipped his toe in the world of hedge funds at Bridgewater Associates before joining the board of HSBC Holdings.

The author of this piece makes a prescient observation regarding the Comey Ashcroft relationship:

On the surface, it’s an odd pairing: Comey—who cites liberal theologian Reinhold Niebuhr as a formative influence, and who can sing along with Good Charlotte pop-punk hits—and Ashcroft, a reactionary born-again Christian who breaks into spirited renditions of biblical hymns. There’s little risk Comey will lose his sense of humor in his new job. It’s only his soul that’s up for grabs.

Now we know why it was so odd.

Oh, by the way, where’s John Ashcroft today? Why he’s on the Board of Directors of Blackwater USA,which now goes by the harmless sounding name – Academi – conjuring up images of ivy-covered buildings and lounging intellectuals.

Comey and Ashcroft – Lockheed Martin and Blackwater: Defenders of our civil liberties?

Eric Holder? He is now a white-collar defense attorney at a firm that lobbies for major banks, pharmaceutical companies and defense contractors.

Hillary Clinton accepted the endorsement of former Attorney General Eric Holder, the man who oversaw a record decrease in white-collar prosecutions, and who inadvertently coined the phrase — “too big to jail” — which is often used to describe the Obama Justice Department’s approach to corporate crime.

AG Roberta Lynch, just another prey of the Clinton juggernaut

We have heard it before. Straight arrows become ensnared in the backwash of the Clinton’s corruption. The victims will be lucky enough if they live to survive. Is Attorney General Lynch the latest to fall prey? I include the clip of why it can be so deadly to have heard the Clinton name. While there are lots of people included in the clip that are a far far stretch, it is a refresher on how much travail has followed them. I give you this, not for the truth of the matter, but rather what happens when one’s life touches the Clintons. Setting tin foil aside, would you want to be a friend of the Clintons? Is it really so depressing that one would want to end one’s life? And people are worried about Trump and his stability?

NY Post:

Yet there’s another dimension to their chronic crookedness, and it gets insufficient attention even though it might be more important to the nation’s well-being.

“Wherever they go, whatever they do, ethics are trashed and suspicions of criminal conduct follow them like night follows day.”

It is that, in addition to being personally corrupt, the Clintons are corrupters. They are piggish users, with the people and institutions around them inevitably tarnished and sometimes destroyed even as the Clintons escape to their next scam.

….. and with Lynch?

The explosive result shows the Clintons haven’t lost their touch for leaving destruction and chaos in their wake. The remarkable events also serve as a clear reminder that while the Clintons enriched themselves over the years, they were helping to bankrupt the public trust in its government and institutions. And they won’t stop until they’re stopped.
