A Federal Judge and a bizarre view of Justice for an American ISIS terrorist

Terrorist Khan and The Clown Judge

  by Mustang

Were the actions of an ISIS terrorist the actions of simply an immature youth’s exuberance – a “stupid thing” – which should have received the mercy from Judge Hughes? Or was it a major error?

Lynn Hughs

Judge Lynn Hughs

Prosecutors have appealed Judge Hughes’ sentence, arguing that the sentence imposed potentially have national security implications: there are more than 150 Moslem-Americans fighting for ISIS in Syria.  One-hundred more have been arrested before they were able to physically join the terrorist organization.

U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick of the Southern District of Texas, argued as much in a brief filed with the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals last month, that “The district court’s error was not harmless. Indeed, the magnitude of its error was enormous.”

“The sentence,” the brief explained “… did not reflect the gravity of Khan’s conduct and would not sufficiently deter others from taking the first step along the path to radicalization. The sentence also results in unwarranted disparity with sentences of similarly situated defendants who have received far more serious sentences.”

A counter-brief by Khan and his attorney, David Adler, is expected sometime in the coming weeks.

Five years ago, the FBI learned that a (then) 19-year old citizen had joined a terror group affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) while temporarily living with an uncle in Australia.

Asher Khan used Facebook to lavish praise on Jizb ut-Tahrir and stated that he joined the group so that he could die in service to Allah.  He not only communicated this to his readers at Facebook, he also served as active recruiter for ISIS.  Over the long-distance Internet, Khan recruited a high-school friend to join ISIS as well.

His friend was named Sixto Ramiro Garcia, who he had met at their Houston mosque.  Khan arranged to meet Sixto in Turkey; there, a guide would take them into Syria where they could achieve glory for the moon-god.

Khan and Garcia boarded planes; Khan from Australia, and Garcia from Houston.  But the FBI concocted a ruse to convince Khan to return to the United States.  Khan’s mother told him that she was dying in a hospital; he needed to come home.

He flew to Texas instead of Turkey and having arrived, wired his panicked friend in Turkey $300 and arranged through the internet to put Garcia in contact with the ISIS guide.  Sixto was killed a few months later, which, quite frankly, is a likely result of joining a terrorist group.

Khan, now in Texas, kept recruiting for ISIS —an activity that continued until his arrest by federal authorities in May 2015.  Khan was charged in federal court with violations of 18 USC 2339(a)(b), providing material support to terrorist organizations.  Notably, 2339(b) requires a longer prison sentence because, as in this case, “material support” resulted in the death of another person (Sixto Garcia).

In 2015, Federal prosecutors wanted Khan to remain behind bars awaiting trial, arguing that Khan is a threat to national security.  Judge Lynn Nettleton Hughes decided to impose house-arrest, instead.  Hughes then assailed prosecutors asking whether the government would have detained someone during the Cold War for joining the Community Party of East Germany.  It was a rhetorical question.

Nevertheless, East German Communists never threw a five-year-old child off a second-floor mezzanine at the Mall of America, either.  That aside, it was only after his bond hearing that Khan claimed to be a “changed man.”  He’s now a 24-year old engineering student at the University of Houston, which given Khan’s previous line of work, shouldn’t bring us a sense that all is well in the world.

Judge Hughes considered the facts of this case from the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas.  He sentenced Khan to 18-months in prison.  Prosecutors were asking for fifteen years.  Hughes, a Reagan appointee, scoffed at the arguments set forth by the prosecutors and expressed sympathy for Khan, a convicted terrorist.

The argument that Khan had anything to do with Garcia’s death is specious, he said.  “Given the right breaks, most young people —if you can get their attention and give them some guidance— will quit doing that particular stupid thing.”  Hughes dismissed out of hand the evidence presented by prosecutors that Khan continued to proselytize for ISIS after he returned to Texas.

What are these implications?  Oh, I don’t know.  Do we really want 150 combat-tested terrorists returning to the United States with their hatred of the American Republic and anyone connected with it?  Maybe what we need are stiff consequences for treasonous behavior.  Perhaps our judges ought to be able to make a distinction between that and stealing bb’s from a local toy store.

And there is another issue.  Khan told Judge Hughes he’d learned his lesson —easily said.  The fact is that terrorists, having committed themselves to that course, do not change their ways over time.  They don’t “age out” of their lust for barbarism.  Judge Hughes has access to this material, and he has no further to look than the tribunals at Guantanamo Bay.

Whether the 5th US Court of Appeals will increase Khan’s sentence is yet to be seen —but you know, that may not matter quite as much as the number of chowder heads at work within our federal government who, every single day, impose a clear and present danger to the Republic.

Neither does one require all of the details; no, they only need to take a cursory look around.  Jeff Sessions, Rod Rosenstein, Robert Mueller & Company, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Paige, Candice Will, Lynn Hughes … and too many others to mention.  One can even forget the characters; look instead at the number and scope of challenges to justice and sovereignty: an unprecedented number of illegal invasions along our southern border, a congress that refuses to act in the interests of the American people, and a media that aids and abets America’s enemies.

We don’t just need Donald Trump; we need another 49 just like him.  No one man can keep pace with the unrelenting power of this anti-American tidal wave that every second of every single day assaults our values and —worse, common sense.

Well, I suppose that when you think about it, common sense isn’t all that common in American today —not even on the federal bench.

Meet the New South Asian Threat in America

Hmmm

by Mustang

Our man on the beat in the UK

Before you send Helping Hand for Relief and Development money, you should probably know that this group is but one of several branches of Jamaat-e-Islami, a terrorist organization founded in British India in 1941, responsible for the slaughter of thousands around the world and is today well hidden within the Moslem Council of Britain and the Islamic Circle of North America.  (Think about that last title for just a moment).

Jamaat-e-Islami Founder Syed Abul Ala Maududi

Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) claims to be a world leader in empowering lives, creating opportunities, and strengthening the bond of humanity—and, according to their website, they respond to human suffering in emergency and disaster situations around the world … offering their helping hand regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, location, religion, color, cultural diversity, or social background.

HHRD is partnered with another charitable organization called ICNA Relief which offers a “helping hand” inside the United States.

Sound good?

Now, about these charities—they raise tens of millions of dollars each year, and I’ll bet you’ll never guess where all that money goes.

Here’s a hint: Hamas.  They also funded the Al Khidmat and Lashkar-e-Taiba organizations, which were responsible for the murders of 166 people in Mumbai in 2008.  But don’t fry your brain trying to figure out all of these organizations; there are too many of them—no small network, trust me, and besides that, they’re way too hard to pronounce.  You can read up on them here (background) and here (an update).

But here’s the best part: your tax dollars are (and have been) funding international terror.  Ha!  Bet you never saw that coming!  Clever, these Islamists.  What no one in the House of Representatives understands (apparently) is that if you feed the proxy, you feed the central organization.

Republican Jim Banks wants to end our government’s funding, and he wants a criminal investigation into the links between the charity and Pakistan’s terrorist movements.  Sadly, Banks is in the minority party, so I don’t look for much happening in this quarter.

But at least now YOU know about this scam, and you can tell your friends, and they can tell their friends, and … you get the picture.

Beside the fact that the government never asked me if I would like to contribute a percentage of my taxes to this or any other charity, our government’s funding of terror is but one reason I have no confidence in “government sponsored” charities.

The way I’m looking at this is that the US government has forced me and you to become accessories to murder and mayhem.  And it does make one wonder about how many other terrorist organizations our government is sponsoring.  Perhaps an email to your congressional representative would help Mr. Banks cut off funding to this and all other terrorist organizations (including Planned Parenthood, whose murder of innocents runs into the tens of millions).

Just a thought …

According to ICNA, its goal “shall be to seek the pleasure of Allah through the struggle of Iqamat-ud-Deen establishment of the Islamic system of life as spelled out in the Qur’an and the Sunnah of Muhammad.”

ICNA seeks to promote Islam and the Islamic way of life in the United States.[11] They are active on the issues of War in Afghanistan and the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. Initially ICNA was composed of Muslim Americans of Indo-Pakistani descent who had split from ISNA.[12]

Ilan Omar Used Foreign Propaganda Script When Grilling Elliot Abrams

Home Sweet Home
Mogadishu

The only question I had of Rep, Omar was who gave you your attack points at the time of the Foreign Relations Committee hearing with Diplomat Abrams?

You seemed to have a wealth of decades old information considering you were still wandering the cesspool city called Mogadishu when the events you were discussing occurred.

A comparison of texts shows that Rep. Ilan Omar cribbed from Qatar’s state-owned Al Jazeera to script her diatribe against senior American diplomat Elliott Abrams.

Al Jazeera ran a story, “Who is Elliott Abrams, US special envoy for Venezuela?” on February 12. It had no byline.

Omar recycled the story in her scripted attack against Abrams at a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on February 13. The video of the hearing shows that Omar did not publicly inform the Committee that she was quoting from a foreign state-funded propaganda source.

The key themes from the Al Jazeera article match with Omar’s comments to Abrams, and appear in the same order. Some of the phrasing is similar and sometimes identical. Here is one for comparison:

First theme: Helping Nicaraguan contras and pardoned by Bush

Al Jazeera: “In 1991, he [Abrams] pleaded guilty to two counts of misleading Congress about the Reagan administration’s efforts to help the Nicaraguan guerrillas (known as the Contras) during a period when Congress had banned such aid. He was later pardoned by George HW Bush.”

Omar to Abrams: “Mr. Adams [sic], in 1991, you pleaded guilty to two counts of withholding information from Congress regarding your involvement in the Iran-Cortra [sic] affair, for which you were later pardoned by President George H. W. Bush.”

This writer, as a former graduate school professor, would have failed a student for cribbing words, facts, and narratives without citing the source. A quick check of online plagiarism detection services shows that Omar did plagiarize her material:

Ilhan Omar schedules fundraisers with terror tied groups

How much more of this are we willing to tolerate? While we may find ourselves amused at Cortez’s outlandish proposals…..(We may be laughing at our own peril)… this little number, one Ilhan Omar, is an outright danger.

I would like to think that the installation of our newest AG Barr yesterday might have some interest in slowing her down. Still ringing in my head are Barr’s words- his being best friends with Mueller. Sigh….

Newly elected Rep. Ilhan Omar will jet off to Los Angeles next month to keynote a fundraiser for the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), a terror-tied organization that was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist financing case in U.S. history.

On March 23, Omar will speak at CAIR-Los Angeles’ 4th Annual Valley Banquet, where tables will cost $500.

“CAIR-LA is honored to have Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) as the featured speaker for the 4th Annual Valley Banquet,” reads a press release from the Los Angeles chapter of the group that was formed as a Hamas support network in the United States.

She will deliver her address alongside CAIR-Florida director Hassan Shibly, according to a CAIR flier promoting the event. Shibly is a dedicated Islamist and bigoted gay basher. A fan of radical clerics, he has routinely refused to categorize U.S.-designated terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations, according to the Clarion Project. Moreover, Shibly regularly takes to social media to demonize the U.S. military as equivalent to the jihadi terrorists that they are fighting.

P.S. Homosexuality is not the only topic on which Mr. Shibly’s views can be said to be very extreme. Lots of material here.

Here is what we are bringing into our colleges.

CAIR-Florida Executive Director Hassan Shibly address at the St. Petersburg College – Institute of Strategic Policy Solutions

….

CAIR’s fundraiser is just one of the controversial events lined up for Omar’s schedule. On February 23, she will speak at a fundraiser for Islamic Relief USA, the American branch of the terror-tied group Islamic Relief Worldwide. The Middle East Forum has discovered that she will be accompanied by a senior charity official who has often “expressed violently anti-Semitic ideas on his social-media accounts,” sometimes specifically calling for the murder of Jews. Islamic Relief has been banned by Israel and the UAEfor allegedly funneling money to terrorist organizations.

The Mexican Border – a No Man’s Land

Basically, a no-man’s land

By Mustang

Mr. Jim Chilton is 89-years old. He’s a fifth-generation cattle rancher

who, in spite of his age, still runs the Chilton Ranch at Arivaca, Arizona. It is a 50,000-acre spread outside Tucson, much of which abuts the Mexican border. Chilton’s truck can be frequently seen heading in one direction or another on the ranch, but no matter on what day or what time of day, Mr. Chilton is likely to spot armed members of a dangerous Mexican drug cartel moving with impunity along a favored illegal-immigration track. “It’s still the wild west out here,” he said.

Chilton’s only barrier to illegal activity from Mexico is a three-strand barbed-wire fence, which is about as effective as screen-doors on a submarine. The rancher estimates that around 4,000 drug-packers cut across through his land each year. But its more than drugs —it is also illegal immigrants. They’re not just from Mexico; they come from all around the world. What makes his land dangerous to both himself and his wife is that these illegal aliens are desperate to seek out a new life in the United States, at the taxpayer’s expense.

A desperate man is a dangerous man. Jim said, “You used to get old fashioned coyotes who would bring people across. They’d get $200 or $300 from each of ‘em, the fee for guiding them into the US. Now the operation is run by a cartel. They have scouts on top of our mountains. They charge about $3,000 for Mexicans, $7,000 to $9,000 for Central Americans, and between $25,000 and $75,000 for Asians. Most of the people coming through are just looking for work; they come from Guatemala, Honduras, and other Central American states. We’ve also had Iraqis come through, people from states in the Middle East, but most of the arrests made by the Border Patrol are from Guatemala.”

Chilton —who manages the ranch with his wife— describes the illegal activity as a national security issue. He believes that the border wall proposed by President Trump should be built because with the nearest Border Patrol station 80 miles away, there is no security for the Chilton’s. “It looks like the government has given up the fight,” he said.

Chilton has long warned the US government that the few strands of fence that separate Mexico from the United States is overwhelmingly inefficient keeping anyone out of the United States. “The lack of a serious barrier, combined with the Border Patrol’s enforcement decisions have effectively ceded miles of US territory to the Sinaloa Cartel, which stations guards on the mountains overlooking the ranch.” It was precisely this lack of barriers and few border agents that resulted in the ambush of a federal officer.

Drugs and illegal immigrants are a lucrative business, and according to Mr. Chilton, armed members of the drug cartel in Mexico controls much of his land. “They carefully time their movements to avoid being seen. The Border Patrol don’t come out here —they’ve left this area basically available to the cartel. It’s basically a no-man’s land.” Federal officials labeled the ambush as “A shooting incident,” but according to Mr. Chilton, if it wasn’t for the agent’s bullet-proof vest, he wouldn’t be alive today.

Mr. Chilton opined that the shooting could have been averted had the government taken our border security more seriously. “President Trump needs to complete the wall and fill the 25-mile gap and move the Border Patrol to the international boundary rather than 80 miles from the boundary.”

Brandon Judd, a Border Patrol agent (who also serves as President of the National Border Patrol Council) said that the area of the Chilton Ranch “is one of our most dangerous stretches on the border. It cries out for Mr. Trump’s wall,” he added. “If we had a wall in this location, the shooting would never have taken place.”

In a statement to the Washington Times, Judd said, “Unfortunately, our agency is still run by the Obama holdovers that gave us the failed open-border policies and operations of the past. Until serious changes are made, we will not be able to secure the border with those that refused to embrace the president’s vision on border security.”

Personally, I think that if Mr. Trump isn’t serious about border security, he ought to say so. If he is serious about it, then by all means —let’s take Mr. Chilton’s and Mr. Judd’s advice to heart and build the damn thing,

Kavanaugh hearing outrage? Try ‘Feminist’ Muslim Linda Sasour arrest!

My pick for the most outrageous moment, is the Sharia loving Sarsour getting the limelight for one nanosecond. The various reports of her notoriety in this latest escapee define her as the leader of the “Women’s Movement.”  Really? When are women going to disown this person who represents the worst of misogyny? I don’t need to list how disgusting women are treated by the Muslim faith. Not bad enough? She supports the Inman behind the bombing of the World Trade Center. I include the clip.

Linda Sarsour, the Sharia law-loving, hijab-clad leader of the Women’s March, was arrested for disorderly conduct at the Kavanaugh hearing.

Women’s March protesters probably don’t even know who they are protesting. The night Trump announced Kavanaugh as his next SCOTUS nominee, the Women’s March sent out a frantic press release to protest Kavanaugh and they forgot to fill in the empty box where his name was supposed to be printed.

Sarsour is very upset with what Brett Kavanaugh may mean to women’s rights.

She was so angry that she started screaming and was tossed from the hearing.

Sarsour caught on camera talks about her mentor WTC terrorist Siraj Wahhaj

I just happened to do a “look back” this past Saturday as part of an update or “whatever happened to”. Flashback: Where in the world is Linda Sarsour Pro-Hamas Democrat Party activist?

In the post I included a video of her support of Siraj Wahhaj.

Now we know much more about her mentor Siraj Wahhaj.

Son of Imam Linked to WTC Bombing Kept Children in ‘Filthy’ Compound, Allegedly Trained Them to Shoot Up Schools

Horrifying details emerged on Wednesday in the case of Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, the son of an imam linked to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, who was arrested in New Mexico on charges of keeping 11 starving children in a filthy compound. According to court documents filed by prosecutors, Wahhaj was training the children to carry out school shootings.

Prosecutors asked the judge to hold Wahhaj without bond for felony child abuse. He is also the subject of an extradition warrant from Georgia on charges of kidnapping his own son from the state in December. His son was not among the starving children rescued from the compound. There are fears the remains of an as-yet unidentified child found at the compound could be Wahhaj’s son.

Prosecutors said on Wednesday that Wahhaj and four accomplices possessed an AR-15 rifle and four pistols with ample ammunition and were training the children to commit school shootings.

Let’s take another look again at the clip of our gal Sarsour. (As long as YouTube keeps it up)

Pro-Hamas Democrat Party activist & surrogate Linda Sarsour CAUGHT ON CAMERA asking her “mentor”, Siraj Wahhaj who is a co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing to support El-Sayed who is running for Governor of Michigan. She is speaking at the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)

While speaking to a group of Muslims at the 54th Annual ISNA Convention, Pro-Hamas activist and Democrat mouthpiece Linda Sarsour, who has been campaigning for Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, expressed how much she admires her “mentor” Siraj Wahhaj, and asked him to financially support Abdul’s campaign.

Siraj Wahhaj is a co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing.
