Saturday Passel of Potpourri

Let’s see what mischief our fellow earthlings have gotten themselves into this week. It’s Saturday and time for a break and maybe a smile or two.

Humans and animals are at their best this week..

We will start with some love from our best buds…..

An oldie but a goodie-

We will end with a visit with our neighbors beneath the oceans.

To attract a female fish, the Japanese Puffer fish will work 24 hours a day, for an entire week in a row, to create the most stunning sand art.

Thanks go to Kid for the Hat Tip.

Thats all folks…..have a wonderful day.

More good stuff from our fellow travelers way beneath the oceans.

A kilometre beneath the surface and beyond the reach of the sun, life can still flourish in this dark expanse.

That’s all folks. Have a wonderful day.

Holding one leg while pushing the other, while executing a small jujitsu like roll. Impressive!

A visit to the ocean floor…… Something right out of a science fiction tale!

Sand strikers, also known as bobbit worms, are primitive-looking creatures that lack eyes, or even a brain. Despite this, they are savage predators who shoot out grapple-like hooks to reel in passing fish.

That’s all folks… have a wonderful day.

Jill Biden: ‘They all really had a pandemic ready to go…’

Glad to see Joe married his intellectual match.

It is funny too, at the same time they try to act like scientists have been studying this stuff for years but also act like this was all so bad because of how unprepared we were. So much of what they say doesn’t add up. None of this has ever made any sense.

She is trying…

Just saying….. quite a difference-

I found my Grandma’s curtains!!!

My Home Ec 8th grade project has resurfaced

Ah but she absolutely stunned “the crowd in Dl with a coral dress and beige heels” (NBC) last week…

Hmmmmm

Yes, on the job.

That’s all folks….all that is in the tank today.

Coconut octopuses are among the most intelligent invertebrates around: They use tools, carry their shelters around for when they need them, and, fittingly, adopt an underwater walking motion that’s very similar to humans.

That’s all folks. Have a wonderful day.

Biden breeches from the basement with bizarre comments

Gramps was on a special ride this week. It’s Friday so let’s pick out some of the high lights and memorable moments that aren’t getting the attention they so richly deserve as well as some observations.  We hadn’t seen much of him since he returned from Europe but he managed to come out of the basement for a few special moments. Enjoy.

Is he saying the stimulus check is a bargaining chip for workers to ask for more money? So he wants to continue to pay people to stay home with money the government doesn’t have?

When you break into Pelosi’s office and try to steal her vodka, that’s crossing the line!

Let’s not forget Hunter

Let’s end with an oopsie and some good news. Thank goodness it is being taken care of with an upgrade.

Magnetic north just changed. Here’s what that means.

Magnetic north has never sat still. In the last hundred years or so, the direction in which our compasses steadfastly point has lumbered ever northward, driven by Earth‘s churning liquid outer core some 1,800 miles beneath the surface. Yet in recent years, scientists noticed something unusual: Magnetic north’s routine plod has shifted into high gear, sending it galloping across the Northern Hemisphere—and no one can entirely explain why.

That’s all folks. Have a wonderful weekend.

I’ll end with a fascinating story on the Cuttlefish. One of the wonders and mysteries of our creator’s hand.

Cuttlefish: Wearing thoughts on the skin

A new technique is allowing researchers to study the inner workings of a cuttlefish brain by tracking colour changing cells in their skin. These cell are directly controlled by neurons extending from the brain. By monitoring the cells with high resolution cameras, researchers can track the activity tens of thousands of neurons at once for the first time.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.
