Who Knew? House Hearing: Having a Gas Stove is Racist Apparently

Wednesday’s House hearing on the ban of gas stoves brought out the best of the Democrats. This is about having concern for Black and Brown communities. The Black spin on it is that having a gas stove is racist apparently since it effects Black and Brown communities more. That is a new twist pushed forward. Did you know we are being poisoned by our gas stove? I am looking for the studies on the deadly gas stove. Add of course Air Pollution, Climate Change and we have a trifecta.

Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) criticized Republicans for their concern over legislation regulating gas stoves, saying they’re more concerned about appliances than climate change. She goes on to attack absentee and corporate landlords who apparently have known all along that they were gassing blacks with this poison.

The “Squad” member said she wished members of her opposing party were as concerned “about black and brown communities” as they are an appliance. She believes three years is “generous to manufacturers.” in getting their act together.

“The proposed rule is not a ban on gas stoves,” Bush said during the hearing. “We are regulating indoor air pollution.”

The debate in Congress regarding gas stoves started after the Department of Energy unveiled its “Energy Policy and Conservation Program” in February, with the program allowing the DOE to set new efficiency and conservation standards for consumer conventional cooking products, including gas stoves. The DOE said in a memo that the proposed rules would make at least half of U.S. stove models ineligible for repurchase in stores if they were to come into force today.

The House Oversight Committee had invited two DOE officials, Alejandro Moreno, the acting assistant secretary for DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, and Dr. Carolyn Snyder, the office’s deputy assistant secretary, to testify, but the two declined the offer on Wednesday.  Am I the only one wondering why? (Sarc)

Key Takeaways:

The Department of Energy’s proposed rule for gas stoves would impact at least half of new gas stoves sold in the U.S. and would render most of the existing market noncompliant if the proposed rule is finalized.

The Biden Administration has unleashed a tidal wave of new regulatory burdens aimed at Americans’ appliances which harm consumer choice. In addition to new standards for gas stoves, the Department of Energy has targeted dishwashers, refrigerators, water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, and other household appliances.

The Biden Administration is pushing a radical climate agenda while ignoring the real world impacts these policies have on the American people.

Hearing Wrap Up: Department of Energy’s Proposed Rule Regulates Gas Stoves Out of Existence, Further Strangles U.S. Consumer Choice

And how can we not include Granholm’s take on the whole matter. This was two months ago when gas stoves were simply energy hogs…the poison theory had not yet been developed apparently.

The best of the swamp.

“Safe and effective.” Where have I heard those words before? Those of us raised on gas have always known there is a combustible byproduct effect. Now, that effect is going to either take place downstream or upstream in electrical power generation for most homes. Maybe they’ve never heard of ventilation?

There are LOTS of problems with public safety, and this is a curious turn to be suddenly interested in one only while turning a blind eye to the destruction and mayhem on our streets, the massive chemical depredations of our crops and food supply, and untested risky medical experimentation on young people.

Thanks for the entertainment. That congresswoman is a dunce. Ditto for Granholm.

Gas stoves, particularly as a threat to the black race. This has entered the realm of insanity. I do not mean that in terms of ultra-radical political thinking, I mean it literally. I mean to say that these people have lost their ability to think. They belong in an asylum where rational people can make decisions for them. They are a danger to themselves as well as to our nation.

There is some hidden motive behind the government drive to eliminate all natural gas appliances. It’s crazy. Natural gas is clean, efficient and cheap relative to other energy sources. Here in Colorado (California Jr.), where it gets cold half the year, there is a push to ban gas furnaces in new construction. This is crazy, and will double heating bills.

The Green Syndicate is already telling us we’ll all be driving electric cars, which will require much more electricity capacity, and now they want all gas appliances converted to electricity. Our energy grids are already old and operating at full capacity, but the Green Goblins are writing regulations to phase out carbon-based power plants while also banning new construction of petroleum refineries and nuclear power plants.

My only conclusion is they literally want to crash the system. Can someone help me feel better by pointing out where my thinking is off track?

Well, at least Senator Manchin tabled the nomination of someone who was set to work on eliminating gas stoves.

How long before we hear that a flushing toilet creates a racist eddy by sending water in a clockwise direction which impacts black and brown “communities” disproportionately to its impact on whitey. Maybe we can borrow some of the billions, probably trillions, of the green monies and study how to reverse the earth’s rotation. But then the lawsuits will fly from those southern hemisphere nations, the south of the equator countries for those who failed earth science 101, who already have there toilets swooshing in a counter clockwise direction which would then flow in a clockwise direction. You can’t make this 💩💩up.
    Damn, where’s my meds?
