Chicago Goes Full Marxist With Election of Mayor Johnson

More heart warming news today.  If anyone thought Chicago’s Lori Lightfoot was too far left, try this fine fellow out. Be careful what you wish for. Chicago was a nice place not so long ago. The end of it coming soon. Wisconsin adds to the joy with the leftist Janet Protasiewicz winning the Supreme court seat giving the Dems the majority for the first time in 15 years.

Brandon Johnson has won the Chicago mayoral election against moderate Democrat Paul Vallas. Johnson calls for removing law enforcement from society. During the 2020 riots, he defended looters, saying they were lashing out against racism. Chicago’s violent crime has surged over the last few years under Lori Lightfoot.

More good news over in Wisconsin. This could have more serious ramifications for 2024. The Wisconsin electoral votes will matter. For some reason I thought that whether it was a State Supreme Court or the Federal, the job description included interpreting the law as it was written. Not a political elected office. Oh contraire as we learn in this piece.

Janet Protasiewicz, a judge on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, has won a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, NBC News projects, giving liberals their first majority on the state’s highest court in 15 years.

Protasiewicz defeated conservative Dan Kelly, a former state Supreme Court justice, on Tuesday in what became the most expensive state Supreme Court race in U.S. history and one of the most closely watched elections of 2023.

Protasiewicz’s victory will allow the court’s new liberal majority to determine the future of several pivotal issues the bench is likely to decide in the coming years, including abortion rights, the state’s gerrymandered legislative maps and election administration — including, possibly, the outcome of the 2024 presidential race in the battleground state.
