John Proctor – The Crucible
During the Salem Witchcraft Trials John Proctor could save his life if he just gave names and signed the paper presented. One of the most moving scenes in any movie, it spoke to me of our present judicial system. How many of Trump’s associates who are called to testify in various Grand Jurys and trials forthcoming will refuse to save themselves so they don’t get a knock on the door by an IRS agent and/or spend tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees defending against false charges?
The very moment that Matt Taibbi was testifying in front of Congress and warning about the deep state, the IRS was knocking at his door. No, it was not to intimidate Matt, it was to send a message to every single American that there are soon to be 87,000 more of them at the ready to carry out their mission of intimidation. How many of the dozens of not hundreds of people in the near future will be willing not to give names to protect themselves? To be willing not to bear false witness?

The precedent is now set. A two-bit D.A. can charge the opposite party’s candidate with a crime. After all, as the FBI said regarding Trump, “Its all about the process and not necessarily the result.”
D.A.Alvin Bragg already has filed 100 lawsuits against Trump he so proudly proclaims. “I am the one to get Trump.” We are now a banana republic. What must the world think of us?

The rest of the world obviously loves it. As the country began collapsing, I started to consider expatriation, only to find that the other developed nations are much further along than us when it comes to the Western suicide pact. The only hope is for a national divorce but I honestly don’t think it will happen.
Stalin, Lenin, and Mao are universally considered heroes by the generations who graduated from college over the last twenty years or so. Many proclaim themselves “pround Leninist Marxists”. Years of indoctrination have finally taken hold and this is what we get. It’s too late for defiance.

The deck chairs are being re-arranged in the convulsion of the power struggle. Those countries aligning with China are in for a nasty surprise. I suspect Russia as well in the end. What a loss with the Saudi’s and the UAE changing horses when Trump had settled the thing down.

My sailing stepdaughter told me about 7 years ago about how China buys the fishing rights around small, native-supporting islands…..then the natives, after centuries, are not allowed to fish, can’t make a living, yet must buy their fish which was caught 100 yards away, taken to China, canned, and is on their shelves …………. N Zealand has more recently taken Chinese equipment and money to build roads in fairly unoccupied areas with their agreement that Chinese is spoken in those areas which got funding…no kidding; she’s seen it and knows New Zealanders…..the stories are rampant but very few are telling the truth.
So the Left started this…you’re right about what Lois Lerner did….and nobody seemed to REALLY care………and the ball’s rolling. We can’t survive this way…I wonder how many really understand that.
I wonder if the Republicans could just stop only being “OUTRAGED!” and speak this truth…with facts and figures. But…

SKANLYN, I considered it, too, since I have family, and have lived, in Munich and lived in Paris for 4 wonderful years………but while France is a BIT less prone to this stuff, Germany’s almost a goner due to their government since Angela took a quick Lefty turn reflecting her East German childhood. It stunned my German husband, believe me…horrid. I think you’re right….there’s no place to go.

I do not like or support Donald Trump, but I really do not support political prosecutions, and that is what this is. There was no predicate to go after Trump’s little squealer boy (can’t remember his name) other than to “get Trump.”
We are entering Stalin and Beria’s Soviet Union territory when we have prosecutors running for office on the campaign pledge to “get Trump.”
These prosecutors didn’t have a predicate. They simply used the power of the state to start digging and start squeezing people. They don’t realize conservatives could do the same thing if they get the upper hand?
Our governing class is out of control. They have steamed up, poked, prodded and radicalized large segments of the electorate. I don’t know how we defuse this.

There is a thing called malicious prosecution. Bragg should be sued as well as lose his license. The message must be sent. If this needs to go to the highest court it should be so. Then we will know.

Has Alvin Bragg set a precedent which should the White House remain in democrat hands will have in essence succeeded in throwing out the rule of law along the road to scrapping the constitution? As of this writing Dioneces is out searching for the MIA voices on the right, guys like Mitch MConnell who may be making sure the Apple cart isn’t overturned. Hopefully Mitch among others like him will do more than just lip service and do the right thing but recent history may tell us not to count on it after all McConnell may see this as a chance to get the fly, Trump, out of the ointment once and for all. Who of us are next? Meanwhile talking heads say Bragg is deep doo doo (my words not theirs.) My money is on Soros.

The difference between Dems and republicans: The doctors have had Biden’s skull sawed open twice finding no grey matter and still he can play grab ass with the ladies young and younger.
