White House refuses to say whether Ukraine will receive toxic depleted uranium ammo with U.S tanks being sent.
A Biden official wouldn’t disclose whether Bradley Fighting Vehicles will be equipped with the anti-tank rounds, linked to cancer and birth defects.
Now
Russia claims Leopard 2 tanks may become “dirty nuclear bomb”
Russia has said that German Leopard 2 tanks are equipped with sub-calibre armour-piercing shells with uranium cores, and Moscow will consider their use in Ukraine against Russians as the use of “dirty bombs”.
Source: Konstantin Gavrilov, Head of the Russian delegation in Vienna at the OSCE Forum on Military Security and Arms Control; Kremlin-aligned news outlet RIA Novosti and Russian BBC editorial office
Quote from Gavrilov: “We warn the Western sponsors of the Kyiv military machine against encouraging nuclear provocations and blackmail.
We are aware that the Leopard 2 tank, as well as the Bradley and Marder infantry fighting vehicles, are armed with sub-calibre armour-piercing shells with uranium cores, the use of which leads to contamination of the area, as it happened in Yugoslavia and Iraq.
If Kyiv is supplied with such shells for NATO heavy military equipment, we will consider it to be the use of dirty nuclear bombs against Russia with all the ensuing consequences.”

As far as our Bradleys we earlier posted:
THE WHITE HOUSE is unwilling to say whether the U.S. will provide depleted uranium anti-tank rounds to Ukraine, according to the transcript of a press briefing, despite decades of research suggesting the weapon causes cancer and birth defects long after the fighting ends.
At a background briefing on January 25, an unnamed reporter asked the unnamed “senior administration officials” at the session whether the Bradley Fighting Vehicles now being sent to aid in Ukraine’s defense against Russia would come armed with the 25 mm armor-piercing depleted uranium rounds they’re capable of firing. As the reporter noted, firing these radioactive rounds “is part of what makes them the ‘tank killer’ that Pentagon officials called them.” The administration official who responded declined to answer, saying, “I’m not going to get into the technical specifics.”
…But the technical specifics of these weapons could have dire consequences for Ukrainians. Depleted uranium is a common byproduct of manufacturing nuclear fuel and weaponry, and, owing to its extreme density, ammunition made from the stuff is a fantastic way of punching through the thick armor of a tank and igniting everyone inside.
But these anti-tank rounds also happen to be radioactive, extremely toxic, and have been linked with a variety of birth defects, cancers, and other illness, most dramatically in Iraq, where doctors reported a spike in birth defects and cancers since the Gulf War, when the U.S. fired nearly a million depleted uranium rounds, and the 2003 invasion of that country.

Mustang has his thoughts,…
I have known about “depleted” uranium ammo and cancer/birth defects. Nothing new about that. The U.S. government doesn’t care what happens to the troops. Case in point, Operation Tomodachi in 2011. Marines and sailors of the Washington, Blueridge, Essex have already started dying from exposure to nuclear radiation from Japan’s destroyed nuclear reactor – and, of course, the VA is already trying to deny medical claims.
So let’s make sure the Defense contractors meet the Paris Peace Accords and let’s send “depleted” uranium ammo to Ukraine. The logic is the usual government logic that comes from the best of the swamp. From an earlier post:
But we are not done yet:
US Preps Ukraine Package With Rockets That Can Reach Nearly 100 Miles
The US is preparing another major escalation of military aid to Ukraine as Reuters reports the next arms package will include rockets that have a range of 94 miles (150 km), almost double the range of the munitions Ukraine was provided for the HIMARS rocket systems.
Citing two unnamed US officials, Reuters said that the US will provide Ukraine with the longer-range Boeing-made Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) for the first time as part of an over $2 billion arms package that could be announced as soon as this week.

The best of the swamp. Two steps closer to war with Russia and yet all we hear about are Classified Documents of Biden and Trump. The war machine moves forward unabated.

So why are we sending this stuff to Ukraine again? As AOW said, “what could go wrong?”
I’d take Gavrilov at his word. I don’t think this is posturing. Not only did we miss the setup for WW2 (or else the French would have stopped the first move with the vastly superior forces they had before American industry helped the Wehrmacht to becoming a rolling war machine), we missed it for WW1. Once Pandora’s box is opened, it will open again and again.
One day, there will be a likely nuclear device set off — in Israel. Ezekiel 39 presents a 1st century description of what we recognize as biological, chemical and nuclear decontamination procedures. Specialists will go to all marked positions to handle ‘dirty’ bones (And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it – that’s a dirty bone), and “they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, … and they shall burn them with fire seven years: So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire.” Wow. A 7-year fuel supply doesn’t sound like the chemical or biological part to me.
Is this what we are opening the door to?

The U.S. seems intent on starting a war with Russia. A comment
that can be easily missed included was that we would “draw down our stockpile.” It is estimated it would take years to replace much of what we are sending to Ukraine…. China….playing into their hands.

Nuclear weapons have an expiry date. I wonder about these not-so-much-nuclear-anymore projectiles?

DU (depleted uranium) is a toxic metal. As a toxic metal, it can affect the human kidney, brain, liver, and heart. While weakly radioactive, it is persistently radioactive — which means that long-term exposure can be significantly dangerous. The residue produced from DU rounds penetrating their target, inhaled, can be deadly for those who use such ammo on the battlefield. The U.S. DoD claims that no reported cancers have arisen from exposure to DU ammunitions, but this is the same agency that claimed no U.S. veterans died from radiation following surveys of damage to Hiroshima and Nagasaki — which, as we all know, was a damned lie. The medical section of the U.K. Ministry of Defense warns that exposure to DU risks developing lung, lymph, and brain cancer. Moreover, since 1991, the U.K. Pensions Tribunal has stated that birth defects in children have been attributed to exposure to DU munitions.
So, why are we using materials that, while effective in penetrating armor, pose significant health risks to our own troops? Presently, the U.S. possesses around 530,000 short tons of DU; Russia has just over 510,000 short tons of the substance, as well.

So Putin has responded to the tanks…hear anything about this elsewhere? I haven’t other than reading Pravda…what I have come to…. I was anxious to see what the Russian response was…..
Then we are going to send billion dollar armaments to them as well? They really want a war.

I had a dream that WWIII was confined to Europe but then rebuilt by China and repopulated by the African and Muslim worlds providing cheap labor to work the bug farms that would feed the world. I woke up before seeing what happened to Americe del Norte.

Always,
What the heck has gone wrong under the Biden watch?
1. The economy
2. The heart health of many who trusted the jab
3. Documents
4. Insecurity of one’s sexuality to the point that you have to declare pronouns
5. Our food supply (and why all the fires at chicken farms among the bird flu?)

If we really are sending our depleted uranium munitions over, maybe that means that we can dig up the nuclear waste buried in West Texas and use that.

I remain unshocked and not surprised by the silence of the “NEVER WAR DEMS” on being gung-ho for this war. No anti war protests, no occupying streets or legislative offices with their “NEVER WAR” chants. Where are they? Were they all paid off or just going along because it’s not a Repub Admin doing this?
