WH Press Secretary: ‘Biden Is Not Interested In Hardening Schools’

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday said Joe Biden is not interested in “hardening schools” in the aftermath of the mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

Of course not. It’s all about the guns.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer  last week blocked passage of a GOP bill which would codify a clearinghouse of information for school safety practices into law.

Instead, the Senate is “going to vote on gun legislation,” the New York Democrat said, asserting that Americans “are tired of moments of silence, tired of the kind words offering thoughts and prayers.” Schumer said he would be open to considering Republican Senator Ron Johnson‘s Luke and Alex School Safety Act, but he wanted to first focus on proceeding with his proposed Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act. That bill, he said, “will let us take action on guns.” Source

Republicans want to pass a bill that would include measures to beef up security at schools such as single point of entry, fencing, metal detectors and armed security. Not so much the Dems.

And of course our new Press Secretary with great finesse handles the question on what the big man thinks about hardening schools. Our gift that keeps on giving. She says the quiet part out loud.

President Joe Biden’s White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said hardening schools “is not something [Biden] believes in,” during the White House press briefing

President Joe Biden says the “Second Amendment was never absolute”

It would be nice to see the current gun laws on the book enforced….like when Hunter Biden lied on a federal form to obtain a firearm illegal.

Saying a 9mm is a high caliber round? One of the most common rounds used for self-protection.

Why yes, one could have a cannon.

Never let a good crisis go to waste. This has been the creed of the Progressive New Left for decades. They have a crisis, they are not interested in solutions they are only interested in leveraging that crisis against the foundation of the American Republic. So, rather than harden schools they disarm the law abiding. That has been the objective since the day the Prairie Fire Manifesto was published and before that was the mantra of the progressive and socialist movements. Now is their time.

Now is their time because they have just pulled off a coup in the American Republic and have at last installed a hapless sock puppet who will do the bidding of the progressive oligarchs. Those oligarchs realize they have little time to act because some inquiring minds have found the means, 2000 Mules, and the liberty loving are rising against the coup and the regime. Once November 2022 neuters the progressive assault on liberty it is game over. Biden’s handlers know that.

This is why they are so urgent in their quest to upend American natural liberties and the institutions supposedly dedicated to defending those liberties. You see, for the Progressive New Left and for their fellow travelers it is not about liberty. Never has been. It is about power.

    Stand by for heavy rolls.

I suppose “they” could spend a few bucks de-toxifying over-medicated kids whose erratic behavior is a direct link to those psychotropic medications. See also: The Problem at Layla’s blog (https://politicsrewritten.blog/2022/06/02/the-problem/).

Good point, sir. When I showed up on recruiting duty back in the 1980’s the DoD had a list of drugs that could not be waivered. On that list were the drugs now most commonly given to kids who act up in school. Ritalin and the rest were seen as a poison by DoD and were also seen as poison when I went back on recruiting duty in the early 1990’s. DoD does not mess around on medical qualification issues. I had a chance to listen to doctors from the Military Entrance and Processing Service (MEPS) as well as our own Navy medical experts. They were solidly against these drugs and their use in teenage and pre-teen kids. I guess we are a nation of slow learners.

I have done considerable reading on the issue of mass shooters and our responses to mass shootings. We ignore the obvious. Kids like Nick Cruz and now this clown in Texas scream out trouble early on. I happen to know the 3rd grade teacher of Jerrod Laughner, the clown who shot Gabby Giffords. She and her husband told me stories going back to age 11 concerning that escaped mental patient. But everybody gets a trophy. Everybody gets socially promoted. Everybody graduates. Nobody gets ‘judged’ by those who should be exercising better judgement. That is the crux of the problem. No one in the public education or mental health systems are willing to use their better judgement and call out the obvious.

Many moons ago and in a land far away we young NCO’s leaned how to do something called the ‘eyeball check.’ When you put people under extreme pressure they sometimes crack under that pressure. If you actually care about your people and their efficiency and survival you learn to look for the signs of cracking. Then you act. No one seems to have the stones to do that any more. So sad for our Republic.

Back in 1962 in the 6th grade one day in class while Mr Wiechert was explaining to the class why he had a NY Yankees chair cushion I was drumming on my desk with my yellow No. 2. Suddenly he stopped and said out loud “Hey Gene Kruppa let us know when you’re finished.” The whole class myself included shared a good laugh. No psychiatrist, no parents, no principal, no police, no shots fired just another day in the 6th grade….in 1962 America.

Oddly, we again post on tangentially similar topics.

In Biden’s push to ban guns, he broke his cardinal rule.

It’s hard to characterize what the female papa doc is saying since neither blather nor jabberwocky translate into lesbian Haitian Creole so let’s just say she and her boss are birds of a feather since she sounds like she’s full of crap and he drools out of both sides of his mouth.
Speaking of talking out of both sides of one’s mouth JP Morgan CEO, one of the world’s smartest guys, Jaime Diamond, warns of the coming economic typhoon (my words not his) while swapping spit with Obiden’s economists. Have an increasingly inflated day y’all.

Did you know that Karine Jean-Pierre is the first black female lesbian press secretary?
    Isn’t that impressive?

“Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act” : does that refer to parents at school board meetings?
Is that the connection with school security?
