FCC Pro-Censorship Radical Gigi Sohn Commissioner Hearing Held

One of the most important positions is up for approval. The FCC is set to pick up two new commissioners. A Marxist and Soros supported and could be deadly for what is left of media and free speech. The issue of Net Neutrality is on the line.

Gigi Sohn was the co-founder and CEO of the leftist advocacy group Public Knowledge, which recently called on cable and satellite providers to drop the conservative One America News Network. She doesn’t care much for Fox either. Where do they find all of these Marxists who wish to remove Free Speech?

In addition to Alvaro Bedoya, the George Soros linked, pro-illegal immigration professor that Biden has selected as his nominee for FTC commissioner, the Biden administration also wants the pro-censorship radical Gigi Sohn to serve on the Federal Communications Committee (FCC).

With jurisdiction over internet and telecoms policy, the FCC is an increasingly important arm of the federal government. During the Trump administration, it was at the center of the President’s efforts to fight back against Big Tech censorship.

It has been opined that Biden will pull a switcheroo and actually swap out the candidate Bedoya and make Sohn as the Chair which would be much more of a threat.

But the FCC is a double-edged sword. Just as the commission can protect consumers from tech censorship, it can also use its regulatory might to pressure tech companies to submit to a partisan left-wing agenda. More here

Note the advocacy group she claims made her “say it” was a co-founder of the group.

We are picking up where Obama left off and it isn’t taking any eight years to get there.

Here in the waning days of Obama the coup de grace

FCC Approves Foreign Takeover of U.S. Broadcasters

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on September 29th did something worse than give up control of the Internet. They voted unanimously to put America’s entire broadcast industry on the fast track to a foreign takeover by Chinese, Russian or Muslim Brotherhood front corporations.

This new FCC rule gives foreign interests the long sought-after tools they need to shape U.S. public opinion and to censor the opposition.

Once a foreign corporation scoops up a media business, such as a chain of radio stations, it can eliminate national and local programming and substitute its own government’s propaganda. That means that conservative talkers could find themselves off the air.

Citing the need for “change” from the old “vintage” laws, Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel declared that “laws that govern broadcast investment can get in the way.”

So, rather than respect the law and Congress, the FCC decided in a 5 to 0 vote to decree a new “rule” that effectively guts a law that protected Americans from foreign interests and their propaganda. The new rule assumes that any foreign owner of a TV or radio broadcaster will be acceptable unless someone can prove otherwise.

So why did this happen? The current FCC commissioners are mostly lawyers and lobbyists with political connections to both political parties. These political parties depend on financial contributions from major corporations, including media corporations. They want the option of dumping their broadcast properties off on cash-heavy foreign buyers, no matter what impact it has on the public’s right to know.

The system is rigged, even in favor of the foreign interests buying up America.

And … “laws that govern broadcast investment can get in the way.” Of what? The constitutional republic?

“Where do they find all of these Marxists who wish to remove Free Speech?” My husband’s response when I read this out loud to him: “they’re unemployed” and I might add unemployable.

    Kinda off topic;

With one and three years to go before 2022 and 2024 elections this came to mind:
    (Substituting republicans for God)
“Ask republicans to move a mountain and be prepared to wake up next to a shovel.”

Unlike many if not most on the right I have no illusions as to how all this ends. Even if the republicans bring a rifle to the gunfight the democrats will have planted IED’s along the road to the debate.

All we can hope for is poetic justice when all these clipped haired Nazi feministas are the first to go when the Bolsheviks clean house of those who were the traitors in our mist, traitors to their own country having proven their untrustworthiness. .

Oh, but she has promised to recuse herself if someone identifies a conflict of interest.

Also, she said that the tweets that Senator Cruz cited referring to her condemnation of Fox had to do with the effects from “other elements.”

Still, under her words, I can hear nothing but authoritarianism.

Her “other elements” were simply her founding organization which she now states is her cause for her advocacy.. not that it had anything to do with her… such silly people. I doubt there will be much traffic on this post, yet as important as any supreme court nominee.

As for myself, I am sending multiple e-mails to the idiot senator from Texas (a.k.a. John Cornyn) to ensure that he does not vote for her confirmation. One e-mail to Senator Cruz will suffice (since he has been pretty tough on her and hopefully will vote against her anyway).

It seems that anyone nominated by Biden is likely unfit to serve unless they are a hold-over from Trump.

No need to waste time e-mailing my (not really mine since under pain of death they wouldn’t get my vote) D Senators Menendez and Booker.
