New York sure knows how to pick their Governors. Now Red State versus Blue State. Just waiting to see what is next in store for Americans by Fauci and our senile old fool President. I am just waiting to hear when they will start moving us to “the camps.” Yet our border remains open. Checking out how things are going..
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul will halt non-urgent, elective surgeries in the state amid a spike in the new Omicron COVID-19 variant.
Mrs. Hochul signed an executive order on Friday, in hopes of preventing hospital staff shortages over an anticipated rise in cases.
“We’ve taken extraordinary action to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and combat this pandemic. However, we continue to see warning signs of spikes this upcoming winter, and while the new Omicron variant has yet to be detected in New York State, it’s coming,” Mrs. Hochul said.
The governor added that she will announce protocols to expand hospital capacity, and encouraged unvaccinated New Yorkers to get the shot and those already fully vaccinated to get their booster.
Florida is reporting the lowest amount of coronavirus cases per capita in the nation after Gov. Ron DeSantis was widely criticized by media outlets for his handling of the virus.
The Sunshine State reported a daily average of 1,393 coronavirus cases as of Friday, six per 100,000, which was a two percent decrease over the last two weeks.
DeSantis has been slammed by critics in the media since the start of the pandemic over his opposition to government-imposed mask and vaccine mandates. In 2020, DeSantis was accused by a Democratic politician of going on a “killing spree” for opposing mask mandates and a Vanity Fair headline from September of this year referred to the governor as an “angel of death.”
This is at the same time people from all over the country are headed South for the winter.
When is this fellow going away?
The best of the swamp.

To answer Dr. Faux Chi’s question: YES! See Bobby Kennedy’s new book if you need convincing. 🙂
“We’ve taken extraordinary action.” Well, THAT’s an understatement. Not to be conflated with “effective” though. When are we going to hear about the safe, effective and inexpensive treatments, and EARLY before people get to the hospital stage? We’ve had a year to educate people on preventives, and actions anyone can take to reduce their chances of getting really sick with it. Instead, you’re persecuting those with the answers . Pffft!

Well done Fauci… he is back in the news and acting the jackass that he enjoys being. Where it is over, the blood on his hands will be enormous.. Everyone should have a home testing kit by now and taking preventives such as Vit D ect….. and where are therapeutics readily available? No, he is insisting on clinical trials of drugs of his best buds in the drug business.

I was in the ER at one of San Diego’s largest hospitals two weeks ago for another small stroke. Half of the 140-bed ER was closed because they could not provide staff for it, and the nurses were all tending 50% more patients than standard protocol required.
I have been seen by three doctors recently, all as a result of that recent stroke. The cardiologist said I am “an idiot” for not getting the vaccine. (We have a good relationship, so that’s not as harsh as it sounds.) The ER doctor and the neurologist both said my natural immunity from having recovered from Covid is probably quite adequate and I’m fine without the vaccine.

Of course no one wants or is willing to talk about the staff shortages. Nor the therapeutics that are now so successful in managing this disease.. Thanks Fauci.

Totally agree with Della (16blessingsmom). OH, and I have to fix this; and she (Hochul) was not elected-she was Cuomo’s second in command. Our local hospital here in our little town in Hornell, only has 14 beds and they state 70% full. ER visits are discouraged, period. It’s horrible. the general thinking around my job is we will be shut down by Christmas. SHUT DOWN over a nonexistent thing.

Now that would be something… she did run as Lt Gov? Though in your state probably no choice as in some… Hang on… going to be a bumpy ride.

I have to say (admit) that the longer this goes on, the less I understand any of it. Remember “Never let a good crisis go to waste?” This one (“pandemic”) seems to be the gift that keeps on giving.

I am with you Mustang.. I had made up my mind not to do anymore posts on the topic. I do notice when the politics needs a change of direction, this seems to push back up… and when Fauci is not getting enough attention.
When I read/heard the latest Fauci tweet I could not resist.

When I heard Fauci say this: “I have to just laugh at that. *I* should be prosecuted? What happened on January 6th senator?” I knew he’s the WORM i’ve thought he is. I say “I”, though I know we all feel this say, because my dad’s cousin was a pathologist in Michigan working with Fauci back in the AIDS days and despised Fauci for a variety of amazing and righteous reasons. That’s all I can tell.
For FAUCI to mention January 6 shows JUST HOW POLITICAL HE IS and, for ME, has taken ALL credibility away from him…ALL. WORM WORM WORM.

Our NY governor is either so far removed from reality and has no idea how much havoc she has caused, or she simply has a heart of stone and doesn’t even care, probably both. My daughter is a charge nurse at a huge hospital in Syracuse, in the oncology center. They lost THREE charge nurses last week, plus other RNs and staff: they were fired. Fired after working their butts off, day in day out, during the entire pandemic. (They have been exposed to Covid MULTIPLE times, many have had it, don’t need a vaccine) So now they are EXTREMELY short staffed and overworked. There has been a nursing shortage for YEARS in central NY, this has put the hospitals over the edge, and I do not understand why it isn’t a HUGE issue in the news, people should be protesting and shouting! If the average Joe goes to the ER, the wait time is going to be unbelievable, they’ve closed 20% of the beds in the biggest hospital. (The healthcare staff who had religious exemptions accepted had them suddenly revoked, and they were fired…years of experience and patient care, down the drain…and Hochul thinks she can make up for it by offering scholarships for new nurses…who on earth is going to train those nurses on the job?). Upstate in Syracuse is down 400 nurses all together. FOUR HUNDRED. But the sick people still need care, more bricks less straw, my daughter won’t be getting out of work on time in the foreseeable future…it’s a very serious $hitstorm, and no one seems to care…it’s like the Emperor’s New Clothes, all are afraid to speak out about the mandates! I have another daughter who needs knee surgery, her knee has disclocated three times now, but all non-essential surgeries have been suspended in the small hospital where we see the orthopedic surgeon….it’s nuts.

I don’t care if he is going up in the polls from 36% to 37%. I just don’t want to hear him.

Fauci et al have incrementally taken command and control of our minds and bodies encumbered by science and reason. Should the republicans regain control of both houses the thinnest of a thin red line will stand between us and the coming apocalypse. The next mantra from the left will echo what was heard in 1994: Power Sharing. You can count on it. After all do we not live in a democraticocracy?

Obama took care of that when he made the 400 plus attorneys government employees for life as opposed to appointees. Where there is a will there is a way. The Dems seem to be able to figure it out.
