Trump versus Milley – the knives are out!

No doubt you had already figured out the knives are out in the Biden’s administration over who is going to take the fall over Afghanistan. Things took a strange twist with the forthcoming Woodward book in an attempt to turn the tables on Trump one last time and finish him. At least that is the suspicion, or was it Milley who planted much of this story thinking it would elevate him as the man?  The question left is how much truth is there to it, and if Milley went to the dance or is it more of a figment in Woodward’s mind.

The framework of the CNN article is that General Milley:

…”called a secret meeting in his Pentagon office on January 8 to review the process for military action, including launching nuclear weapons. Speaking to senior military officials in charge of the National Military Command Center, the Pentagon’s war room, Milley instructed them not to take orders from anyone unless he was involved.

“No matter what you are told, you do the procedure. You do the process. And I’m part of that procedure,” Milley told the officers, according to the book. He then went around the room, looked each officer in the eye, and asked them to verbally confirm they understood.
“Got it?” Milley asked, according to the book.

“Yes, sir.” ‘Milley considered it an oath,’ the authors write. (read more)

First here is the orange man himself with his take.

Trump himself has difficulty believing the Woodward on Milley.

Former President Donald Trump reacts to new reports about General Mark Milley story – Via Newsmax’s ‘Spicer and Co.’

We have Tucker Carlson. Retired Army colonel reacts to accusations against Gen. Mark Milley on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ and gives us a good overview.

The Conservative Tree House posted an interesting outline of the players involved yesterday before much of the story had shaken out. Worth checking it out.

TEAM One – The Department of State is aligned with the CIA.  Their media PR firms are CNN, CNNi and the Washington Post. Their ideology is favorable to the United Nations.  Their internal corruption is generally driven by relationship with foreign actors.  References: Hillary Clinton, Clinton Global Initiative, John McCain, Qatar, Muslim Brotherhood, Samantha Powers, Susan Rice, Cass Sunstein, Brookings Institute, Lawfare, China-centric, Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Council on Foreign Relations.

♦ TEAM Two – The White House is aligned with the Pentagon (DoD) and National Security Council (NSC).  Their media PR firms are domestic in nature. New York Times, Politico, etc.  Their internal corruption is generally driven by domestic influence.  References: Barack Obama, George Bush, Wall St, Big Banks, Multinational Corporations, Defense Contractors, FBI (state police), Judicial Branch, and community activists writ large.  [Presidential elections only affect Team Two (nationalism -v- globalism).  In the modern era Team One is independent.]

Bonus time! All the old players want in on the game.

The Lieutenant Col. who broke chain-of-command and usurped his authority is complaining about the Joint Chief’s Chairman breaking chain-of-command and usurping his authority.

Alexander Vindman was the national security council operative who worked with the CIA to frame Donald Trump by leaking a manipulated transcript of a presidential phone call.   Today he tweeted this about General Mark Milley:

ALL day, including Jennifer Griffin on FOX, is saying Milley had 15 people there….’no news here, folks’.

My question is why Milley would even THINK China would suddenly think Trump would NUKE THEM? That is insane….I hate the idea of that loathsome Milley smoothing things with the CHINESE……I wish he’d said instead “Ya, you’d BETTER worry; Trump and most Americans are real tired of COVID and you’re lucky we haven’t nuked you” (HAAAA!)

BY THE WAY…..Dan Bongino just got it SO right; he reminded that the Left went NUTS that Mike Flynn spoke to the Russians in private…..now they’re FOR Milley talking to the CHinese on his own?

The bottom line is they are not denying it… Not so sure about Jennifer… she needs to keep her contacts but again no denial….. we need the transcripts..

Bongino may be correct if tit for tat is to be the level of our intellectual discourse. In the law, a case against Milley is absolutely separate and distinct from any previous case, such as against HRC or Petraeus, or Flynn. An accused must stand in the dock and face his accusers irrespective of how other cases are handled.

There are other questions: Suppose that several of the fifteen “witnesses” had objected to Milley’s directives, as a matter of principle. Who would they complain to? In the chain of command, Milley’s boss is the SecDef. Does a major general then demand to see the SecDef, whose mental powers equal those of Jiminy Cricket because he believes that a four-star gave him an illegal order?

If a major general or lieutenant general was so offended, why didn’t they go to the press, like Vindeman did? And, since Bob Woodward and Robert Costa are both journalists who work for the Washington Post, why would they wait to report this “scoop” for nine months? Shouldn’t this have been the story of the century back in January? Well, I suppose in an independent press, it would have been page one. In a communist propaganda apparatus, it becomes fodder for some future purpose. What is that purpose? Does anyone have a clue?

Trump was starting to fade…I figure they thought this would do it. Bet Milley is surprised a bit at the backlash. So far, no one is denying the phone calls…Pompeo and the Trump crowd are all on tonite and deny knowledge.
Either way bad news and no denial yet. Up is down and down is up.

I have a suspicion more than one Milley ‘pal’ is a little nervous…Vindeman had nothing to do with this so he can comment. THere were supposedly 15 with Milley and they could all be in trouble for not having alerted Pompeo or SOMEONE about this. Yes, why didn’t they go to the press? The more I hear Pompeo, the more I like and respect him, by the way…he’s quite a MAN. He spoke of this tonight on FOX.
I agree, MUSTANG….there’s something odd going on and we do NOT have a clue 😦

The Pentagon lost influence with Trump’s economic approach to adversaries instead of sword rattleling. This is what we get… the military will not be denied.

The Pentagon (according to insiders and reported sporadically in the MSM for the past Five+ years) started their Mutiny before Donald Trump won the election, as did the FBI (Agent/lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page come to mind),the CIA and, according to the Pelosi Gang…… .the “leaders of 17 American Intel agencies”.

This story is every bit as bizarre as the book/film, Seven Days in May, and possibly more entertaining. If Milley had a conversation with China’s top military officer and promised to provide China with advance warning of a pending US attack, then we are talking about full-blown treason. And I have to say that if the conversation did take place, that conversation alone would serve as China’s justification for a pre-emptive nuclear attack against the United States. If the conversation took place, then I can foresee at least two (probably more) charges. If he directed his subordinates to ignore the orders of the President (Commander in Chief), add a few more charges. On the other hand, if he was merely exercising pre-launch procedures, then he was only doing his job.

Is Milley capable of doing these things? I don’t know the man, so I can’t say. He’s innocent until proven guilty, which is the best part of our justice system. On the other hand, Milley is part of the political elite now and we have to know that there is one set of laws for him, and another standard applied to everyone else. Who knows? I would imagine Milley would want to issue a statement about these allegations, and soon. As I said, very entertaining.

Well stated Mustang. Given today’s Washington climate who cannot assume there’s a better chance of. Milley hitting both mega lotteries than facing a firing squad.

The pattern for these guys is to hang up their uniforms and then get cushy consulting jobs with firms consulting for the Chinese Communist Party. Many of my old ‘peers’ have done exactly that. But I remain as I was at age 17, a life long, dedicated anti communist. Shame on me.

There are two so called witnesses who are prepared to testify against Milley it is reported… Mollie Hemmingway:

One might reasonably surmise Woke General Mark Milley gave those stories to Woodward thinking he would be praised. Now realizing it’s not playing well with non-deranged people outside his DC cloister, he’s trying to walk them back.

As Skip commented, there is plenty out there that questions Milley and his activities previously. I would think he needs to reply by today.

We were warned several time of the Milley plot on these very pages one year ago.

Sadly it must have sounded like a crack-pot talking……..as it did when we warned against the Jamaat Al Fuqra training camps on the East Coast of the USA.

Have a look at those past postings.
