Buffalo New York elects India Walton first Socialist Mayor

This should work out well. I would be remiss in not congratulating the apparent win of India Walton as a Socialist Mayor of Buffalo New York. She has never held elected office before. Mom at 14. All the requisite requirements for public office these days. Good luck Buffalo. Just look south and check out your neighbors in NYC to see how these policies are going.

Walton has promised she will sign a tenants’ bill of rights that would institute rent control and create a tenant advocate; remove police from responding to most mental health calls and establish a new response to mental health calls; and declare Buffalo a sanctuary city that would safeguard undocumented immigrants, all in her first 100 days in office. Her long-term goals include increasing city funding for public schools and expanding neighborhood community development.

In a Wednesday interview with Buffalo’s WGRZ following her victory, Walton emphasized how her platform as a democratic socialist differs from that of a traditional Democrat. “That means we put people first, that means we prioritize the working class, the marginalized, the often unseen, unheard people over profits, corporations and developers,” she said.

She went on to emphasize that she does not consider herself a politician, and that what the people need is someone who understands “the challenges that average people face.”

I was under the impression that governance, just like a business, requires some sort of skill set to see it operationally successful. But of course I no doubt am mistaken. Just look at what we have now running the federal government in the form of one senile old man with the next in line with the only skill is giggling in response to a question.

It is interesting how the Democrats have allowed the Socialist party to usurp their party. There is little similarity to the Democrat party of an earlier generation.

The best of the swamp today. Coming to your town soon.

    Mustang + 1

National Review reports “Between 2010 and 2018, the Census Bureau estimates that Buffalo lost roughly 5,000 residents, or almost two percent of its total population.” An update published earlier this month concluded that, “New data again suggest that Buffalo lost population last year.” Last gasp of a dying city, to chase out the remaining pockets of “other peoples’ money.” People like us.

Don’t you find it amazing that these low IQ people who demand “equal outcomes” have the uncanny ability to transform a once-thriving community into a third world crap hole, that they actually devote all their energies toward reducing — in record time — all the hard-won accomplishments of the past 200 years into a filthy morass? I predict that it won’t be very long before Buffalo begins to look remarkably similar to Mogadishu. To whom will the socialists in Buffalo then turn for relief?

The 50,000 Afghans who apparently are headed our way according to Biden yesterday may find Buffalo the perfect place to land. They may find the tons of snow that falls there quaint.

No doubt the people of Buffalo took a good hard look at such places as Baltimore, Detroit, New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Portland … and made a conscious decision, “Yeah, we want to be like them.”

I’m happy for them. Isn’t Democracy just great? For a preview of what’s to come inside Buffalo, take a gander at this video: http://wellalldieasmarines.net/2021/06/shoplifting/.

Sure makes the old Obama phones cheap offerings to the deprived. Now its help yourself up to 1K value… Of course it’s a downward slide from here. 1K is never enough… I read about 19 Walgreens closed in CA already because crime pays and they are getting plundered and pillaged. Just as the Romans got sacked by the Visogoths.

Good analogy, Bunks. There are others, as well, but it would be racist to mention it. Ah, screw it: Hutus vs. Tutsis come to mind.

Around 2005-2006 my son’s band armed with ID including birth certificates returning from a Canadian tour was stopped exiting the Peace Bridge on the Buffalo side by US Customs who proceeded to confiscate $37,000 which was never returned. But back then they were looking for Muslim terrorists.

Despite my post today on the murder rate in Houston, this makes me want to move to the south side of Houston just so that I can get that much further from Buffalo, New York.

Rent control should work out well. Once the landlords abandon their properties, the govt knocks them down and puts up low income housing, the crime rates rocket, the welfare rolls swell and businesses (other than McDonalds, Burger 🍔 king and Popeyes Chicken) flee the city it will become a socialist utopia; heaven in earth.

Exactly the drill peter… and then rebuild the low income housing a couple more times. Best yet Biden is moving the low income housing into the suburbs. That should work well.

The next step put up government run military base type PX stores since no rationally run food chain would service the “communities.”
Here in NY/NJ/Ct we have the cutest TV commercials shouting out how New York City is coming back stronger than ever as is the state. I even saw a white person in one of the ads.

rolling eyes…I have not been keeping up with the elections…however, with that said, indeedy, it is coming to a city near you(socialism). The people voted here in early May to NOT allow a certain elem. school to close, this past Monday, the City Council overturned the people’s vote and not only decided to close the school, but to put it into low income housing/projects. Killing the surrounding home market, yep. Now, I gotta ask you (rhetorically) why would one do this? Why, because of course, NY is offering $15,600 for each illegal alien to come and live here AND we are also getting transients from Buffalo and Rochester here to which is bringing up the crime rate. Oh, but we are suppose to hold our noses and welcome this into our communities AND we have a RINO Mayor. So, there you go.
