Dominion Voting System strikes Luzerne County – second PA Primary county to fall victim

Dominion Voting Systems, which claims to work with 2000 voting jurisdictions including nine of the 20 largest counties in the nation had “problems” again in this past Tuesday’s primary election in Pennsylvania. Yesterday I reported on Fayette County. Today, Luzerne county.  How extensive is Dominion involved in our elections?

Founded in 2002 in Toronto, Canada, Dominion Voting Systems sells electronic voting hardware and software, including voting machines and tabulators, to municipalities and other organizations across North America. As of September 2019, Dominion voting machines are used in more than 2,000 jurisdictions in 33 states and Puerto Rico.

As they say:

Drives the entire election project through a single comprehensive database.  From election definition to results reporting, Democracy Suite® has all the tools for any election.

Yesterday I reported on Fayette County with an update on Luzerne county.

Voting Machines in Fayette County PA Were Not Counting GOP Votes – County Uses Dominion Voting Machines UPDATE

Chris Varney, Judge of Elections says they were initially under the impression that it was a problem with all ballots, but then determined it was only a problem with Republican ballots. Varney says he was unaware of which specific precincts were dealing with the same issue, but that this same issue was happening in numerous locations across Fayette County.

Most voters in Fayette County will vote using a hand-marked paper ballot. Some voters will use the Dominion Imagecast X to mark their ballot. All voters will use the ImageCast Precinct Scanner to cast their completed ballot.

No word from Dominion or anyone else about how this could have happened again, or why it seems to only be targeting Republicans again.

Let’s take a look more closely at what happened in Luzerne county.

Dominion Responds After Pennsylvania Election Officials Report ‘Coding Error’ With Voting Machines

Voters report issues in Luzerne County
Election officials in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, reported issues with voting equipment at polling places on Tuesday, prompting a response from Dominion Voting Systems saying that there was a ballot screen error regarding the viewing screen’s header.

Luzerne County Director of Elections Bob Morgan told local media that coding on the Dominion Voting Systems machines triggered the problem.

According to some voters and officials, speaking to WNEP, when Republican voters approach the machine to vote, the introduction page says, “Official Democratic Ballot.” A polling place in Kingston Township confirmed to the news outlet that it was forced to pause voting on Tuesday due to the issue.

Vough added to the paper he would suggest that Luzerne County end its contract with Dominion during the next council meeting.

Morgan, meanwhile, explained to PAHomepage that “there is no evidence of any of this problem on the mail-in ballots which were produced from that file” and added that the county is “still working with Dominion to get an explanation as to how this coding error occurred. They were as surprised about it as we were.”

When asked if there was any way it was the fault of the county, Morgan said, “No.”

“We’re doing signs, we’ve contacted each of the judges of elections. We’ve asked them to place a sign at their voting place. We’re giving Republican voters the opportunity to vote by provisional or emergency ballot if they choose.”

More Dominion shenanigans? How can a company charged with carrying out the election process be so careless and not do a trial run? After all of the accusations and charges they decide not to clean up their act? Are we to expect that errors such as these are “to be expected?” Is this to get us to the point that this is going to happen and standard practice and nothing to see. Really? You will read little about Dominion. They have threatened most of the media into silence. Still the questions remain.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) — The Luzerne County Republican and Democrat Parties have reached an agreement, avoiding a court injunction over voting machine issues.

The best of the swamp today.

Agree with Kid – since when is letting the enemy get away with it a “compromise.’ They should have stopped the vote cold, with their injunction, then re-set it for another day, and sued Dominion for damages. Use the publicity to make this crooked company PAY and get them out of America politics.

    That’s good Mustang!

    Meanwhile, back in Georgia:

Found it when looking for the weird stuff about the inauguration on their blog. Didn’t see anything. Removed, maybe?

The GOP never gets it to play hardball. It would have made headlines… or should have… Gateway is all in with the election nonsense… since no one is following it, it will be just wave off I am afraid.. These two stories should have been headliners…..if only to show how careless they are.

Heres the biggest problem I see in the story – “The Luzerne County Republican and Democrat Parties have reached an agreement, avoiding a court injunction over voting machine issues.”

Something smells bad. Maybe it’s Dutch cheese, but whatever it is, voters need to clean out the refrigerator. As a secondary issue, where are all America’s investigative journalists? You know … someone who could cozy up to a Dominion employee at a local pub, stuff like that. Like in the movies. Oh, wait … I know. There aren’t any investigative journalists.

Here in neighboring Peoples Republic of New Jersey we have no such problems with voting irregularities; there is no need to stuff ballot boxes electronically or stuff mail boxes with paper ballots. Even the dead are disenfranchised here. NJ is bluer than blue and with the explosion of condo construction facilitating New Yorkers fleeing the Rotten Apple Democrats will continue winning here into the foreseeable future.
The Incredible Bulk, former republican governor Chris Christie, blew his and the republicans opportunity to possibly turn NJ purple if not red with his eight years of buffoonery. And so it goes….
