National Border Patrol Council Endorses Elise Stefanik – She Voted Against Wall Funding

Only problem with the National Border Patrol Council endorsing Stefanik replacing Liz Cheney is that she has voted against building the wall. She co-sponsored an amnesty bill. One would think that a quick look at her voting record would make that clear.  She’s not America First, just so we’re clear.  Last week I posted Stefanik as the Trojan Horse including her less than stellar background. A Paul Ryan protege. I stand by the post below:

Washington, D.C. – In case you missed it, the Watertown Daily Times’ Sunday editorial focused on Congresswoman Stefanik’s disapproval vote of the President’s national emergency declaration and her independent judgement, regardless of which party occupies the White House.

Putting the nation first: Stefanik votes to block Trump’s national emergency declaration
Watertown Daily Times

“Being a loyal member of the GOP on Capitol Hill doesn’t mean you always have to agree with the president.

“U.S. Rep. Elise M. Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, demonstrated that Tuesday by officially disapproving of a recently enacted national emergency. She joined 244 of her colleagues in voting for a resolution to block President Donald Trump’s decision to bypass Congress in constructing a wall on our border with Mexico.

Ms. Stefanik distinguished herself by being the only Republican from New York to support Tuesday’s resolution. This shows her independent judgment and consistency in upholding the principle of limited government.

“There are better ways to secure our border, and Ms. Stefanik has discussed these options. She has shown the value of her leadership in Congress by acting in the nation’s best interest rather than merely toeing a party line.”

Press Release

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21) crossed party lines to sign a discharge petition to force a series of floor votes on four DACA, immigration and border security bills. If the petition, led by Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-FL-26), receives 218 signatures, it will force a vote on H. Res. 774 that Rep. Jeff Denham (R-CA-10) introduced in March, to allow Members to debate the issue on the House floor under the “queen of the hill” rule. According to the rule, whichever proposal receives the most votes and meets the mandatory majority-vote threshold would be adopted.

She co-sponsored the Big Tech green card giveaway known as the “Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act” Signed a letter asking Trump to continue importing foreign workers when tens of millions of Americans were unemployed during the pandemic

She also supported the Paris Climate Accords

Here tis believe it or not:

The National Border Patrol Council is endorsing Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) to replace Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) as the new House GOP conference chair, assuming Cheney goes down next week.“

“As President Biden’s policies continue to create the worst surge in illegal immigration in our history, it is more important than ever for our leaders to share a unified message in Congress on the importance of border security,” Brandon Judd, the president of the National Border Patrol Council, said in a statement obtained exclusively by Breitbart News ahead of its public release.

Judd adds Stefanik’s “efforts both legislatively and behind the scenes” have helped keep “illegal drugs and dangerous criminals from flooding our communities.” He continues:

Representative Stefanik supports funds to build the wall, technology to augment the Border Patrol’s capabilities, and more resources for the men and women on the front lines. I am truly grateful to say in the strongest possible terms that Elise opposes policies that have been so dangerous for our communities such as sanctuary cities, licenses for illegal immigrants, and public assistance for those who chose to violate our immigration laws (the magnets that draw people and encourage them to cross our borders illegally).

She also opposes amnesty for those whose very first act in coming to the U.S. was to knowingly and willingly cross our borders illegally. Representative Stefanik has been a true border security champion.

Red State does a great round up as well of her anti-Trump platform votes.

Red State:

For instance, she voted against President Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. I suspect the reason was the limiting of the State and Local Tax deduction that places like New York had used to build a massive public workforce while making the rest of us pay for it, but still it was a vote against President Trump on his signature legislation and a vote for the Blue State plutocracy.

While voting to keep the progeny of New York politicians fully employed, she co-sponsored the amnesty-lite USA Act (this was one of those “let’s pass an amnesty bill today in return for really, really tough border security in the future” bills). Lest you think this was some humanitarian act and not acting like a Chamber of Commerce open-borders sock puppet, look at the rest of her record. She voted against funding the border wall; she voted to end Trump’s emergency declaration that served as a justification to divert federal funds to the construction of the border wall. She also voted to override President Trump’s funding of the wall.

While voting against tax cuts and weakening immigration controls, she also opposed the Trump administration’s fight against Obamacare. She voted to continue to permit the military to accept transsexual recruits in the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act…a bill that also embedded Critical Race Theory into the military via the creation of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity offices in the Pentagon and subordinate headquarters. When President Trump vetoed the bill, she voted with the Democrats to override the veto.

She voted for the so-called Equality Act that strips churches and religious groups of the ability to refuse to hire people living a lifestyle that conflicts with their beliefs. She voted against her own caucus to support a DC abortion law that, in the words of Heritage’s Ryan Anderson:

“could force employers in the nation’s capital to cover elective, surgical abortions in their health plans and require pro-life organizations to hire individuals who advocate for abortion.”

Lest you think this is an anomaly, it isn’t. In 2015, she cast the same vote on the same issue.

I think it is safe to say that Stefanik’s popularity and profile are due solely to her high profile fights with fat George Conway, formerly one of the main grifters with the North American Man-Boy Lincoln Association, and Adam “Pencil Neck” Schiff, and her defense of President Trump during the bizarre January “impeachment” debacle.

Can’t we do better? Insist on it.  One of her responsibilities is that she will be recruiting women to run for congress. Just what we need. More Rinos.

The very best of the swamp today.

With the republican women’s movement alive and well and should Brucie Goosey win the California governors race the GOP will at last have a leg up (shaved?) on the Dems with the first tranny in the state house beating out the AG beast from PA for the highest spot to date. And the republicans being the republicans their answer to the AOC squad will be Car 54 Where Are You? led by Stefanik.
P.S. Today I was finally able to pay $3.01 for a gallon of gas at my favorite off brand cheap-o gas station., $1.30 higher than at this time last year. Maybe I’ll play that number straight and box!

The Republican Party is a Progressive Party. They need to unearth Woodrow Wilson, put him in a glass coffin like Lenin’s and have him lead their party. Constitutional Conservatives, Cultural Conservatives, Theological Conservatives and now Fiscal Conservatives are not welcome and ride in the back of the bus if they ride at all. Beware the wolf in sheep’s clothing. Wuhan Madness, Gun Control and federal spending show who are the wolves and who has the back of the American People.

You are sounding too much like The Hill. Step down out of journalistic mode before you hurt yourself.

This concludes the effort to “save” the Republic… even those I thought could be trusted are now all part of the game…. this was the ultimate tell? But the Border Patrol in this? Now that does challenge me…..why I find this post so intriguing.

The Republican Party reminds me of a fourteen-year-old. They lack the motor skills needed for a driver’s license, but driving the car is all they ever think about. They think they know everything worth knowing but actually, they know nothing at all. They go out of their way to befriend their playmates, even when their playmates taunt and make fun of them on the playground. They contribute nothing at all to the family but expect a hefty allowance — and the only reason anyone would follow them is out of idle curiosity.

The answer to your question, “Can’t we do better?” is … well, no. Not in New York. Neither you nor I get to have a say in this skank’s progression from dingbat on the street to dingbat in Congress. We only get to suffer (nationally) from the dingbat’s political agenda. I don’t see a solution to this problem, other than perhaps giving New York back to the Dutch with our apologies.

The other day, NRRinglee left you the best description of the GOP I’ve ever read, and IMO he’s spot on. We are sunk as a nation. Not us, because we’re already irrelevant to our nation’s future, but our children and grandchildren are in for an awful awakening. In a related development, Bruce Jenner is being touted as a solid conservative for governor of California. If it wasn’t so sad, it would be funny.

There has to be a reason that Jim Jordan does not even try to take this position. Is this a bow to the Democrat practice of giving the top position in the House to a woman? Is there something else at play?

After that is asked, will Stefanik step out of the mold of Cheney and follow the will of the electorate?
