Ebay barring reselling of six Dr. Seuss books

This is not going to end well. Did we ever think we would come to this? We should be terrified. This is only the beginning and it must be stopped now.

Dr. Seuss’ “canceled” books are becoming rarer by the minute.

EBay is barring users from reselling the six Dr. Seuss books that will no longer be printed due to their “racist” imagery — a move that comes after the books started going for hundreds of dollars on the auction site.

“EBay is currently sweeping our marketplace to remove these items,” an eBay spokeswoman told the Wall Street Journal in an email.

The announcement comes after Dr. Seuss Enterprises, which publishes the author’s books for Penguin Random House, said it would no longer print six titles — “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street,” “If I Ran the Zoo,” “McElligot’s Pool,” “On Beyond Zebra!,” Scrambled Eggs Super!,”

…..

Chizad said he tried to sell a copy of “And to Think I Saw It on Mulberry Street” on eBay only to get an “offensive material” message Thursday.

“We had to remove your listing because it didn’t follow our Offensive material policy,” the message said. “Listings that promote or glorify hatred, violence, or discrimination aren’t allowed.”

Chizad’s selling fees were refunded “as a courtesy,” the message said.

On May 10, 1933, more than 25,000 volumes of “un-German” books were burned in the square in front of the State Opera in Berlin. Many other German cities and towns followed suit. The Nazi book burnings symbolically marked the censorship, intolerance, and terror of the Nazi regime. We know what then came next…

Other than this all is well in the swamp.

Reminds me of a line from a Rage Against the Machine song: “They don’t gotta burn tha books they just remove ’em.”
This is where we are today in America, this is nothing but the equivalent of book burning and I think we should all be scared.

No, this is not going to end here, and we cannot bring it to an end by voting. The time for that passed. If it could have been done before 2020, which is doubtful, the election that year made it painfully clear that changing this nation in the voting booth will not happen. Even more revealing is that the ruling class is no longer trying to conceal what it is doing. Look at the “Equality Act” and at the “For The People Act” (which is most certainly not for the people), both of which are naked power grabs. They no longer care what we know because they know we are powerless to stop them.

They use to cloak their intentions of destroying America. If the last weeks have taught us anything it is that they must feel that they have already won the battle for the soul of America. How else to explain the dozens of Dems who would lose in their districts in 22 otherwise. Many Dems are not radical progressives.. yet they vote to take America to the edge.

    Bears repeating:

Of course, the difference is that in 1933, it was the government behind the censorship; today, it is corporations whose concern for market share lead them to embrace a “woke” culture. The chuckle here (said tongue in cheek) is that these measures only divide our society even more. We are surrounded by stupid people … and I don’t see a cure for what ails us. If there WAS a cure, it would be thinking people refusing to buy anything at e-Bay.

and of course the children’s books are the ones they are concerned about first….we can’t allow our children to not to be brain washed. This actually should be a headliner news story – this and the Amazon not permitting certain books to be sold…. did I ever think we would come to this.,

Or, how a novel becomes true contemporary history. Have they banned Bradbury’s great work, Fahrenheit 451? Get a hard bound copy and keep it in your gun safe for as long as you can.

Next on the list… great idea.. I noticed that my clips of book burning have been removed from YouTube that I had used previously…. I guess they weren’t up to this one… but soon this clip I used will be gone as well.

ebay has turned into Little China

I stopped buying on there 3 years ago when I couldn’t find items that came from American Merchants

    The “buy it now”

I always shop downtown but when I couldn’t find it there I would go to ebay

    Not anymore!

Before you purchase on ebay (if your still buying on ebay) check the location the merchandise comes from before you hit the purchase button

And dig deep someone recently told me she purchased on ebay “buy it now” it was being shipped from California so she bought it

She later found out that the seller was “based in china” hiding behind a California location

While she was checking the tracking information she accidentally stumbled across “based in china”

She had several e-mails with the seller in which the seller denied “china”

And gave her a 2nd California location

After pressing the issue the seller finally admitted “based in china”

        BUYER BEWARE!
