Iowa Democrat Asks House to Overturn Election She Lost

Why have elections at all? Just have the the democrats in the House of Representatives declare the election results.

Nancy Pelosi

Will Nancy have any problem doing the deed and giving her the seat? These little known facts on what our out of control Congress can do. There were rumors she was going to do it. Well now it is official. meanwhile Trump plugs along with the courts regarding his election.

Here we go:

Democrat Rita Hart, who lost her Congressional election in Iowa’s Second District, is filing paperwork to have fellow partisans in the House of Representatives “review” and overturn her defeat.

Hart lost to Republican Mariennette Miller-Meeks in the initial vote tally, then lost the recount. Miller-Meeks’ victory was formally certified by the state, and the Hart campaign chose not to challenge the outcome through Iowa’s court system.

Instead, the defeated candidate was said to be strongly considering appealing to the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives in order to uproot the voters’ decision and achieve “the result we need.” And that’s exactly what she’s doing.

Based on the rules and the law, Hart lost. She wants to sidestep the proper process, convince Democrats in Congress to count certain votes that she feels were wrongly excluded, and have herself declared the “real” winner — overruling voters and Iowa’s system.

It’s a brazen effort to steal an election. If she and her lawyers believed they have a strong case, they could have presented it to impartial arbiters through the state’s judicial system. They deliberately chose to eschew that option, however, relying on the bogus excuse that there wasn’t enough time.

Other than that all is well in the swamp.

I hope San Fran Nan does pull this out for this Dem.

It will make 6 January that much more fun if we do pull it off. If we don’t, maybe it will provide motivation.

I don’t recall seeing anything in the US Constitution that allows the US House of Representatives to overturn a state election. Of course, today, mentioning the US Constitution to any House member gets you a blank stare … deer on the highway staring.

    Note for Peter:

Do you remember the prediction that a massive geologic event was getting ready to take place on 21 December 2012? Telling you the truth now … I was excited. How many people in history have gotten to see the end of the world? This could be really, really cool. So I got up early in the morning on 21 December, fixed myself a cup of coffee, and went out to the patio in the rear of the house and waited for the event. I was there for a few hours. During the entire time, I felt no earth trembles, saw no realignment of the stars, and there was no movement of the moon or planets noticeable with the human eye. The only odd thing was that a pair of sand cranes came up close to me and stared at me as if they were at the zoo, and I was one of the exhibits.

Let me tell you — 21 December 2012 was a major disappointment. Nothing happened. After that, I discount anything the ancient Aztecs have said or written down, and the ancient Chinese astronomers, too, and I stopped watching Ancient Aliens on the History Channel. Now I watch CSPAN instead. Same basic story, really — all of it unbelievable, but there are no commercials, and a clown show is a clown show even when the TV is muted.

So Amigo … it isn’t over, and they aren’t done. With that nudge on the arm, Merry Christmas from my family to yours.

According to a 2010 report by the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service, the House reviewed 107 contested elections between 1933 and 2009 and seated the candidate the state had certified as the winner in the overwhelming majority of cases.

The report says the House declared the challenger the winner in at least three cases, most recently after a 1984 Indiana race in which majority Democrats overturned the state outcome and ruled that incumbent Democrat Frank McCloskey won by four votes.

During the process, candidates can take sworn depositions and subpoena witnesses. The committee can impound ballots and voting records and does not have to follow state law about which votes are counted, which could be crucial in Hart’s challenge.

      I am feeling like Josephus…..

The great thing about living in a state like the Peoples Republic of New Jersey is the vote margins are so heavily in favor of democrats we don’t have to waste time and money on recounts or even manipulating the vote count. Most voters remember the last time in a weak moment a corrupt democrat governor was unseated; we got a republican buffoon, an Obama spit swapper named Chris Christie. Now we are comfortably an uber-taxed, pot smoking sanctuary state with The Incredible Bulk comfortably out of our midst after helping formulate a non-winning campaign strategy for the soon to be former President.

Mustang- We like to think the light at the end of this tunnel we’re now trapped in isn’t an oncoming freight train while knowing all the while it is.
What should be a light at the end of the tunnel should be your 6 1/2 year old grandson explaining e=MC2 to you; but it isn’t since after all we already have enough white physicists.
For me Monday, December 21, 2020 was a trip to Costco spending $79 inflated dollars and needing only a thimble to carry out my purchases.
But you know when we stop to consider the fine work Lindsey Graham et al are doing spreading our inflated dollars across hell holes like Anglo-Egyptian Sudan-oopsy there I go living in the past again- Sudan, pardon me, to help those cab drivers unable to emigrate to the Big Apple.

*** I have not watched network news, any news, most pointedly FOX, since November 4th. I was never one for pissing into the wind.

Enjoy Christmas with your lovely wife and family my friend.

You ain’t seen nuthin yet. The only weapon we have to fight back is to tell our children and grandchildren not to have any more children or shall we say cannon fodder for the new world order. It’s over folks.
