Finally a State is going to require reporting of COVID PCR lab results and how they determine ‘positive’. Kudo’s to Governor Desantis in trying to bring some sanity to the so called ‘science’ in lab testing.
Controversy abounds regarding lab testing. Few seem willing to investigate. While Fauci keeps wanting to take the stage with his mask controversy and lock downs, how about some real science?
All of which is background for an intriguing decision made by Florida’s Department of Health (and signed off on by Florida’s Republican Governor Ron deSantis).
For the first time in the history of the pandemic, a state will require that all labs in the state report the critical “cycle threshold” level of every COVID-19 test they perform.
All positive, negative and indeterminate COVID-19 laboratory results must be reported to FDOH via electronic laboratory reporting or by fax immediately. This includes all COVID-19 test types – polymerase chain reaction (PCR), other RNA, antigen and antibody results.
Cycle threshold (CT) values and their reference ranges, as applicable, must be reported by laboratories to FDOH via electronic laboratory reporting or by fax immediately.
Zero Hedge has detailed the controversy surrounding America’s COVID “casedemic” and the misleading results of the PCR test and its amplification procedure in great detail over the past few months.
As a reminder, “cycle thresholds” (Ct) are the level at which widely used polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test can detect a sample of the COVID-19 virus. The higher the number of cycles, the lower the amount of viral load in the sample; the lower the cycles, the more prevalent the virus was in the original sample.
Here are a few headlines from those experts and scientific studies:
2. The Wadworth Center, a New York State laboratory, analyzed the results of its July tests at the request of the NYT: 794 positive tests with a Ct of 40: “With a Ct threshold of 35, approximately half of these PCR tests would no longer be considered positive,” said the NYT. “And about 70% would no longer be considered positive with a Ct of 30! “
3. An appeals court in Portugal has ruled that the PCR process is not a reliable test for Sars-Cov-2, and therefore any enforced quarantine based on those test results is unlawful.
4. A new study from the Infectious Diseases Society of America, found that at 25 cycles of amplification, 70% of PCR test “positives” are not “cases” since the virus cannot be cultured, it’s dead. And by 35: 97% of the positives are non-clinical.
5. PCR is not testing for disease, it’s testing for a specific RNA pattern and this is the key pivot. When you crank it up to 25, 70% of the positive results are not really “positives” in any clinical sense, since it cannot make you or anyone else sick
So, in summary, with regard to our current “casedemic”, positive tests as they are counted today do not indicate a “case” of anything. They indicate that viral RNA was found in a nasal swab. It may be enough to make you sick, but according to the New York Times and their experts, probably won’t. And certainly not sufficient replication of the virus to make anyone else sick. But you will be sent home for ten days anyway, even if you never have a sniffle. And this is the number the media breathlessly reports… and is used to fearmonger mask mandates and lockdowns nationwide…

A refresher – the attacks are on Trump but what did Fauci have to say?
Other than that all is well in the swamp.

Southern California locked down now, no eating, haircutting, or exercise. Playgrounds, both indoor and outdoor, are closed. Grocery stores limited to 20% capacity, which means we are back to food lines. This is supposedly due to emergency room falling below 15% availability but San Diego County, as of Sunday, has only 814 patients in all hospitals combined with a diagnosis of Covid-19, out of a total capacity of 6000 beds. Something is badly wrong here.

Hospitals need to be at 90 plus percent to be profitable…. any easing of restrictions bring in elective surgeries as well as illnesses such as cancer being treated and operated on. You figures make sense to the those in healthcare.

” But you will be sent home for ten days anyway,” Really? Sent home?
You have just tested positive for a virus so deadly that it has shut down the economy of an entire nation. Shut down the economy of the economically most powerful nation in the world. You have just tested positive for a virus that is so deadly that hospital workers are living in terror because hospitals everywhere are overwhelmed and nurses and doctors are dying in droves. And do they send you to a hospital or even tell you to see your doctor? No. You are SENT HOME for ten days. Anybody notice anything wrong with this scenario?

Regarding COVID testing, wasn’t it Elon Musk that got tested 4 times in one day and was returned with 2 positive and 2 negative results?

What is the use of reporting the results of these tests when they are so unreliable?

So, for all we know, they apply a different acronym, wait another day and claim that the test is more accurate. Since the press can ignore the suitcases of ballots, I don’t trust them for anything.

With Biden no longer needing the virus to slap around Trump with it’s surprising that honesty in testing results hasn’t yet been instituted here in the New Amerika. No, wait, I take that back. The virus is still useful for promoting institutional racial bias replacing drug use, alcohol use and a piss poor diet as underlying conditions for susceptibility to COVID 19. Those variables along with gross ignorance.

Did you catch the interview where Biden said “Like I told Barack, if I reach something where there’s a fundamental disagreement we have based on a moral principle, I’ll develop some disease and say I have to resign.”

I was thinking his filter was gone when he was bragging about the “most massive voter fraud organization” before the election.

The guy has not even been confirmed by Congress and he is already hinting at resigning. This is just like his telegraphing the massive fraud through those various comments.

Gross ignorance is what we do best in America.
The history of the Trump administration could easily become a case study of the black-heartedness of the American political system and a lesson for all future non-politicians who toss their hats into the ring.
I detest what American leftists have done, and even more the fact that they’ve succeeded. I essentially believe that Trump is a good man, but I am disappointed that his character is such that he didn’t know how to survive in America’s black forest. He can stomp around in the board room all he wants because his accomplishments are verifiable. Yes, America wanted a no-nonsense non-politician in 2016, but they also hoped for a gentleman — which is to say a president who would fight for America but without lowering himself to the infantile progressive standard.
DeSantis is a good man. Maybe he’ll run to replace Harris in another four years.

I am thinking that is was his ‘non’ gentlemanly’ approach that pushed the radicals into the frenzy that made them make mistakes.. Rural America is use to a rough and tumble world without the gentlemen thingy… it took someone like Trump to shake the bottle and rouse the somnolent citizens out of their slumber…as often, the first out of the gate gets trampled on or worse, like any battle…. next will come someone like a DeSantis to bring forth the more gentlemen thing.

Had he used a blackboard at his pressers and allowed facts and figures speak for him rather than name call and insult (although rightfully so) the uber protected unflappable pathological liar Biden then Trump seemingly certainly would have won a handful of converts….maybe a few million. Bunker- Personally, as a NY/NJ denizen that I am I don’t/didn’t find him anything but who he is and wouldn’t want him any other way. The point is, I believe, he needed to play to the wider audience…for their own good as well as his own good.
Perspective; driving for LYFT this morning my passenger who owns two businesses-both clothing stores- apologized for being late for a scheduled pickup. I remarked it was no big deal and with the country in flames waiting is the least of my worries. He then said at lesat Biden will get us out of the mess potty-mouthed Trump put us in these last four years. I asked if he really believed Biden (laughing to myself) Biden will be good for the country. He replied that at least Biden cares about the country because he is a gentleman unlike Trump.
So then with nothing but rocks in his head this guy feels that Trump is a potty mouth and Biden is a gentleman. But then again if Trump measured his speech this guy would have found another in-articulated reason to vote Harris/Biden. You’re correct Bunker…

Peter… you are right… the unthinking are just that and not political wonks… I guess my nerves are getting a bit frayed as I watch the Republic go down the tubes. I hear them complaining about Trump all the time here and I just think to myself, wait until Rahm Emanuel tells you its lights out…past 75 is it.
Trump needed to be more clever…but he also needed to put the fire in the belly of the conservatives. The Grand old Party sure wasn’t going to.
Its interesting there is a series on YouTube I believe called ‘The End of Civilizations.” Wow…… Just watched Sumeria Cheers!

Was at the Chinese restaurant for Dim Sum last Sunday. Two owners, one lib, other says he is 120% Republican Conservative. This fellow and I had a bit of a ‘laugh’ at how many people vote for or against “Individuals” rather than accomplishments or failures. We’re a country of nitwits.
So, Florida still has no state mandated Covid restrictions, although some number of Florida businesses are using some variety of caution such as Social D and/or masks. Maybe someone living in Florida can give us a better idea of what life is like there. In the meantime, of Florida’s Covid cases were anything for the communist MSM to shout from the rooftops 24/7, they’d be doing it. And they ain’t.
