Democrat calls for ‘Post WWII Re-education Camps’ for Trump Supporters

 

It doesn’t feel like the Summer of love does it? I don’t see Twitter banning these tweets and those who indicate that rounding us up for re-education camps and calling us a cult  is not hate speech.

California Democrat David Atkins this week called for Trump supporters to be “deprogrammed” in “post WWII” type reeducation camps.

 

 

 

I copied a few of the tweets in the thread. Here is his idea as to what to do with us.

This is not your standard partisan policy disagreement. This is a conspiracy theory fueled belligerent death cult against reality & basic decency. The only actual policy debates of note are happening within the dem coalition between left and center left.

I know conservatives are upset by some of the responses here. And yeah, many are out of line. But what do you expect people to do in self-preservation? The Right has been running 4 years on “f*** your feelings, my conspiracy theories are valid opinions, and we have more guns.”

You can’t run on a civil war footing hopped up on conspiracy theories hating everyone who lives in cities, mainlining Fox/Breitbart/QAnon, threatening to kidnap governors and shoot protesters, without people trying to figure out how to reverse the brainwashing.

i mean, for chrissakes, conservatives are literally giving themselves COVID just to own the libs. They’re dying in COVID wards insisting they don’t have COVID because it must be a liberal plot. People are gonna try to figure out how to defend themselves.

Morning Joe beats Fox and Friends first time in 20 years

 

 

For the first time since 2001, MSNBC’s Morning Joe has beaten Fox and Friends in the ratings game. This is an average of the week and not just one day. Hard to believe but true. For sure News Max and OANN are gaining eyeballs big time. Watching Mika preen over the nonsensical Joe Scarborough in the AM on a regular basis would take me over the top. For a refresher:

Mika Brzezinski said “My parents found me very difficult to educate”

and I am sure Joe hasn’t helped the process.

Fox will still claim the mantle for the top show with Tucker Carlson but the height of his popularity has deflated significantly:

 

 

But it’s not just cable news that has had a change in readership:.

In the days after the election, conservative favorites like Breitbart, Drudge Report and Real Clear Politics began to lose traffic share to Newsmax and Gateway Pundit, according to data from web analytics company SimilarWeb. (The site has some interesting facts and worth a look but you will have to fill out some info)

  • Last week, Newsmax overtook Breitbart to become the most visited right-leaning news site.
  • TV ratings for Newsmax have surged — marquee host Greg Kelly has recently drawn as many as 1 million viewers a night — as President Trump continues to urge followers to abandon Fox News.

So far, Fox has not indicated any plans on changing its way if any tweets are an indication.

On Wednesday morning’s edition of the Fox News morning program, of which Trump is a regular viewer and fairly frequent guest, Kilmeade praised Team Trump’s thus-far-fruit-and-merit-less legal maneuvers but then delivered his key advice along with a helping of bad news.

“I think it’s going to, in the country’s best interest, if he starts coordinating on the virus, starts coordinating with security with the Biden team,” Kilmeade continued. “And just brief them, because, on the virus, we’re going to be able to get this out as soon as two weeks. We need to coordinate on the transportation and implementation, and you’ll see how thorough the planning has been so we don’t drop the ball in a little while.”

Not sure conservatives want to hear this spin on reality at this point and are not willing to wave the white flag yet. Especially with the two senate races in Georgia coming up.

James Jeffrey—who is retiring from his posts as the Special Representative for Syria Engagement and Special Envoy to the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS — reportedly said that “shell games” have been used to avoid telling U.S. leaders the true number of American troops in Syria.

“We were always playing shell games to not make clear to our leadership how many troops we had there,” Jeffrey said, according to Defense One.

Jeffrey reportedly said that when President Donald Trump was interested in withdrawing from Syria, arguments against a withdrawal were presented to the commander in chief.

Speaking on the Senate floor, McConnell warned against a potentially “humiliating” withdrawal that threatens to undo Trump’s “tremendous” work in the region. The GOP leader said a “premature exit” would be reminiscent of the U.S. departure from Saigon in 1975. Leaving Afghanistan now “would be broadcast around the world as a symbol of U.S. defeat and humiliation and a victory for Islamic extremism,” McConnell said.

Last night, the House Armed Services Committee voted overwhelmingly in favor of an amendment — jointly sponsored by Democratic Congressman Jason Crow of Colorado and Congresswoman Cheney of Wyoming — prohibiting the expenditure of monies to reduce the number of U.S. troops deployed in Afghanistan below 8,000 without a series of conditions first being met.

The imposed conditions are by no means trivial: for these troop reductions from Afghanistan to be allowed, the Defense Department must be able to certify, among other things, that leaving Afghanistan “will not increase the risk for the expansion of existing or formation of new terrorist safe havens inside Afghanistan” and “will not compromise or otherwise negatively affect the ongoing United States counter terrorism mission against the Islamic State, al Qaeda, and associated forces.”

Yes, I have been going through somewhat of a Fox withdrawal. After all, I had my routine. Fox and Friends for a bit before work, and so on. This for years. Then I discovered that those on Fox were not who they were or what they were about. I would tolerate Juan Williams and other lefties as the others made up for the annoyance but they were getting more strident.

Looking back, those inclined to Juan’s opinions started multiplying like rabbits. The “tell” should have come with the arrival of Donna Brazile .

I have stuck with Tucker Carlson and at times the insufferable egotist Hannity and if not too late Laura.I have moved over to Fox Business for a few programs of those waging the good fight. Marie Bartiromo and Lou Dobbs. Other than that, I am done, through. End of story. For others needing support in the withdrawal process, I will give you the timeline of my beginning disillusion with the “fair and balanced” Fox News.

The warnings about flawed and corrupt voting election machines and processes has been know for years. Since B-Ville has posting about this since 2014 one wonders where the media, the FBI, CIA, and the government has been?

In 2015, Maryland’s main election system vendor was bought by a parent company with ties to a Russian oligarch. The state’s election officials did not know about the purchase until July 2018, when the FBI notified them of the potential conflict.

“To say that they don’t have any evidence of any wrongdoing is not to say that nothing untoward happened,” Raskin said. “It’s simply to say that we don’t have the evidence of it.”

Justice Alito inflames the Progressives with his fiery speech

 

Twitter was aflame last night. A whole lot of Progressives got their knickers in a knot over the speech given by Justice Alito at the Federalist Society. Usually the speeches are not taped, but because of Covid we have the opportunity to be able to view it.

I have a short clip, a transcript as well as the full video of his speech. Take heart fellow patriots. If not now, sometime over the weekend do check out the full speech to warm the cockles of your hearts.

“This speech is like I woke up from a vampire dream,” University of Baltimore law professor and former federal prosecutor Kim Wehle wrote. “Unscrupulously biased, political, and even angry. I can’t imagine why Alito did this publicly. Totally inappropriate and damaging to the Supreme Court.”

Without saying the words “court-packing,” Alito warns about Democratic efforts to “bully” the court with threats to “restructure” it. Tells a story about a foreign judge threatened with death if he didn’t rule for the government, Stern, Salon’s legal writer writes.

As the speech wrapped up Stern observes, “Alito is done. That was easily the most political speech I’ve ever seen delivered by a Supreme Court justice. Wow. Same-sex marriage, guns, abortion, contraception, persecution of the Federalist Society … he really squeezed it all in there. Yikes.”

Alito also gave a regular lament from legal conservatives, complaining that law schools are hostile to those with right-of-center political views and others whose beliefs go against the majority viewpoint.

“Unfortunately, tolerance for opposing views is now in short supply in many law schools and in the broader academic community,” the justice said. “When I speak with recent law school graduates, what I hear over and over is that they face harassment and retaliation if they say anything that departs from the law school orthodoxy.”

Alito didn’t hold back on other controversial subjects, even suggesting that the pressure Christians face surrounding their religious beliefs is akin to the strictures the U.S. placed on Germany and Japan after World War II.

“The pandemic has resulted in previously unimaginable restrictions on individual liberty,” Alito said, insisting that such an observation was transparently true. “The Covid crisis has served as a sort of constitutional stress test and in doing so it has highlighted disturbing trends that were already in evidence before the pandemic struck.”

“One of the great challenges for the Supreme Court going forward will be to protect freedom of speech. Although that freedom is falling out of favor in some circles, we need to do whatever we can to prevent it from becoming a second-tier constitutional right,” he said.

We now are turning over our election software to a foreign company that happens to support Obama.The Drudge Report yesterday ran a feature titled “Foreign company buys U.S. election results reporting firm.” The article documented that SCYTL, based in Barcelona, acquired 100 percent of SOE Software, the leading software provider of election management solutions in the United States. Drudge reports that the  best part is that the election results are redirected not to a USA server, but to a server overseas.

Why is a software company based in Barcelona Spain(SCYTL)  now in charge of counting our votes in the upcoming General Election on November 6th.  Did the Federal Elections Commission approve of this ?  (FEC) Did the Congress of the United States approve of this ?

The firm already provides balloting for overseas U.S. military and civilian voting in nine states along with elections technologies in several districts

Check out Hacked D.C. election test site researcher testifies easy to do

University of Michigan professor who with his students hacked a prototype D.C. voting website and had it play the school’s fight song said today it will be decades, if ever, before voting can be performed safely over the Internet.

J. Alex Halderman, a computer science professor, has been participating in a test of Washington’s new “Digital Vote By Mail” system, which was supposed to allow some 900 D.C. overseas voters submit ballots over the Internet.

During the test, which began last week, not only was Halderman’s group able to get the site to play the fight song, they also changed cast votes to “evil science fiction robots” and gained access to video cameras monitoring a board of elections data center.

Halderman’s hack prompted election officials to take down the system for several days, but it went back up on Tuesday. Halderman said that on Thursday his group changed the password to part of the system to “InternetVotingIsDangerous!” and locked officials out. The test of the system was supposed to end today. Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, a supporter of President Obama, is investing $40 million in Scytl, the Spain-based firm that in January 2012 acquired 100 percent of SOE Software, the leading software provider of election management solutions in the United States.

Allen made the investment via his Vulcan Capital, the investment management firm that oversees his multi-billion dollar portfolio.

Abhishek Agrawal, Vulcan Capital’s managing director, told the Wall Street Journal’s blog he expects countries to eventually become comfortable with digital-only elections.

“This is a very powerful global trend,” Agrawal added. “There is a pathway toward gradual modernization.”

Another of Allen’s charitable groups, the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, donated a total of $250,000 to the immigration-reform advocacy group Centro de la Raza.

The same foundation provided $450,000 to the Urban Institute.

The supposedly “nonpartisan” Urban Institute’s employees have a record of donating nearly 100 percent of their political contributions to Democrats. Officially, the Urban Institute advocates for socialized medicine, carbon taxes and amnesty for illegal aliens.

Scytl, meanwhile, is advancing worldwide. WND reported yesterday an entire municipality in Canada will utilize online-only voting in the next election, with all balloting to be run via Scytl.

WND reported in 2012 that Scytl announced the successful implementation of technology that allows ballots to be cast using Google and Apple smartphones and tablet computers
