De Blasio appoints wife head of coronavirus racial inequality task force

Not going to slow down NYC de Blasio from promoting his wife to another cash cow. Reparations coming my dear, so said the wolf and lots of goodies for her friends. Better yet she is itching for a political office apparently. What could go wrong?

The happy couple

Mayor de Blasio isn’t letting the controversy surrounding his wife’s embattled billion-dollar mental-health initiative stop him from appointing her to head a new coronavirus recovery task force.

Citing her work with the ThriveNYC initiative, de Blasio revealed on Sunday that First Lady Chirlane McCray, a rumored contender for Brooklyn borough president, would co-chair a Task Force on Racial Inclusion and Equity as the city plans its eventual reopening.

Chirlane McCray, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s wife, was entrusted in 2015 with running a new initiative in the city called ThriveNYC, a program that attempted to address issues of homelessness, substance use, depression and suicide, all centered around mental health and with a price tag of $250 million per year in tax payer dollars.

Now, four years later, there are serious concerns and calls for official inquiries into the program because no one can determine if it’s actually been successful. What’s more, due to a general opaqueness when it comes to the program’s budget, ThriveNYC has apparently left that nearly $900 million unaccounted for.

“Chirlane doesn’t have an impressive track record running task forces or agencies,” said Councilman Joe Borelli (R-SI), who has jousted with City Hall over Thrive’s alleged lack of help for the NYPD amid a spate of suicides by cops.

“This is too serious an issue to use it as profile raiser,” he added, referring to her potential political aspirations.

Councilman Robert Holden said the appointment reeks of political calculation by the mayor to up McCray’s visibility ahead of a widely rumored run for Beep.

“This is political. I wish de Blasio would stop doing this,” said the Queens Democrat. “Let her win the Brooklyn borough presidency on her own merits.

“Her track record on Thrive and the statue commission hasn’t been so good,” he added, referring to another of McCray’s questionable forays into the spotlight.

NYC Mayor’s wife choses ‘Drag Queens’ for Statues over Saints

The real heroines for de Blasio’s wife are drag queens and abortion rights activists. How many tax payer bucks are going to supposedly ‘equalize’ the number of male statues to female statues in the city? Who is going to create these statues since the mayor’s wife doesn’t have exactly a good track record. De Blasio’s wife and the case of missing 850 million in taxpayers money

She will make a wonderful first lady don’t you think?-

Chirlane McCray, the mayor’s wife, launched a “She Built NYC” program and invited the public to vote on the names of women they want the city to recognize with a statue. Mother Cabrini got more votes than any other woman , yet McCray’s panel rejected the public’s choice.

Mother Cabrini

Francesca Xavier Cabrini and other female icons were denied honorary statues after a group controlled by First Lady Chirlane McCray tossed out the revered Catholic sister in favor of more women of color and a drag queen-turned-LGBTQ activist.

She was America’s first saint, a tireless advocate who founded an upstate orphanage, a school for girls in Washington Heights and 67 organizations for the needy in the late 1880s.
But she wasn’t good enough to be named one of New York’s seven most important women.

This despite Cabrini getting the most votes in a poll of New Yorkers on who should be included.

Also denied were poll leaders Emily Warren Roebling, who led the completion of the Brooklyn Bridge, and Manhattan Music School founder Janet Schenck.

Instead, they selected abortion rights activist Dr. Helen Rodriguez Trías and drag queens Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson, among others, making clear what their criteria were.

The reaction from New Yorkers had been predictably swift and fierce. But apparently it wasn’t fierce enough to slow down de blasio.

All is well in the swamp. That is for sure.

They don’t even try to hide what they are doing any more! I am glad to see some New Yorkers are upset about this but we know in the end they will just accept it and move on.

Kudos to the pygmy Mrs. Bill. While Moosch had to span the globe on junkets with 60-70 of her closest friends and family in order to burn through a $billion or so our girl Chirlane stayed home and waved her magic wand and poof a $billion for the poor and homeless is MIA with no one looking for it. NYC’s poor remain poor and the homeless: onto the luxury hotels. Voo Doo anyone?

Let us not forget that this skanky paragon of virtue used to be a lesbian and now she’s married to “the love of her life.” Really? I didn’t know it worked like that. Her answer was that she “used to identify as a lesbian” before meeting deBlahBlah.

Maybe she should try identifying as a human being and not someone who indiscriminately has sex with whomever is handy.

Let’s just start by saying this sure is “the odd couple.” I think you are being overly kind today… me thinks this is about as good as it gets with this little number… I call it riding someone’s coattails regardless of the bike. It only gets worse from here on out,

Yeah – okay. Truth? I find both of them to rather filthy looking disgusting human beings – if they’re even human. And I don’t think their kids are much better.

My “unkindness meter” is running low and will stay there until some little things comes along to send me to the stratosphere.

I agree with Adrienne and the thing is, these disgustingly vile perverts infect others (no less than a deadly virus) … those who come into contact with them, especially their offspring, but also everyone else who observes this sheep dip politician and his mentally disturbed, self-absorbed wife. True, the virus of the day will kill you, but the disgusting behavior of Bill and Chirlane kills the soul. They are a plague upon decent people everywhere.

Shakespeare instructed us that “A fool and his money are soon parted.” Voting for a brain-dead Democrat is a waste of a valuable resource, our money, so we must therefore assume that Democrats are fools. Hiring one’s wife to head a taxpayer funded commission is just another form of corruption. We ought to be enraged and demand, “How effing dare you!”

“Beware the Camel’s Nose.” There is not much that I admire about Arab culture, primarily because the Arabs are plagiarists and frauds. For example, we give the Arabs credit for the development of writing, mathematics, science, and medicine when in fact most of what they knew or understood came from a much older, far more accomplished group of people known to us today as Assyrians. Arabs also plagiarized the Old Testament in their construction of the Quran.

Beware of the Camel’s Nose is a phrase that suggests that once a camel sticks his nose under a tent or inside a door frame, it will naturally attempt to get its entire body inside that opening. The term isn’t a deep philosophical question; it is merely an observation of dromedary behavior and a warning, perhaps, that it would be better to keep your camel tethered away from the tent.

Bill Di Blasio isn’t the first to appoint his wife to an influential position. Let’s see … we have Bill Clinton who appointed his wife to head a healthcare reform committee. We all know where that ended up and if there is a more reviled person on the planet than Hillary Clinton, please let me know. Then we have Monica Conyers, wife of John Conyers, who is one of the few corrupt Detroit politicians ever to find herself in federal court on corruption charges (she pled guilty). Monica’s issue wasn’t so much that she was more corrupt than every other member of the City of Detroit council, she was just a bit dumber than everyone else.

So, as you say, would could possibly go wrong with appointing Chirlane McCray to head up the “coronavirus racial inequality task force.” By the way, just the naming the task force allows us to anticipate its recommendations. Since the work will only address “racial issues,” we can suppose that nothing the task force uncovers will address Bill’s “Do Not Resuscitate” order except in cases where the DNR involved someone who is black, 65 years old/older, and lives in Harlem.

Your article does make me laugh, though. “Now, four years later there are serious concerns and calls for official inquiries into the program because no one can determine if it’s actually been successful.” Success in saving homeless people from Clorox tablets and other forms of suicide was never the goal of Thrive NYC. The goal was to give Chirlane something to do and offer her an opportunity to make a little money on the side. Realistically, in the world of corrupt politicians, $900 million is chump change when compared, say, to the Clinton Foundation scam. What the appointment does do, however, is prove that there is always room at the trough for another hungry pig.

Elections do have consequences. By electing Barack Obama, voters enabled him to appoint one of the worst creatures on the planet as his chief of staff. Valerie Jarrett should be in a federal penitentiary for all her slum lord activities, netting her millions of dollars in taxpayer funded “subsidized housing,” or perhaps assassinated by an irate Chicago black person who has had to live in the Chicago slums. But, no …

And you’re right again to suggest that all is well in the Great Democrat Swamp, which insofar as I can tell, extends from Detroit to Baltimore, Oakland to Los Angeles, Memphis to Birmingham, Atlanta to Stockton, and from Cleveland to Buffalo. Yes, it’s true … Democrats control America’s worst run cities and half of those by black Democrats who reign over municipalities with poverty rates between 18 and 39% (the national average is 12%). So, there you go, America. Good job at the voting booth. Personal note: my empathy level for people who continually elect corrupt politicians is extraordinarily low.
