Sunday Respite – Canzona

For today’s Sunday Respite I have chosen Secret Garden – Canzona.

It’s a magical time of year. Leaves are showing us their beauty one last time before death.

The forest in folklore and mythology played an integral part of life for those who honored the seasons. The final harvest. The impending darkness as days grew shorter. Preparing for winter. The culminating honoring of the dead on All Hollows Eve and celebrating Halloween.

For our ancient ancestors, many spirits and deities were associated with nature, wildlife, and the seasons.

Enjoy this time of year in the forest. As we get ready for Halloween, one never knows who may be about!

I am including a list of posts done this week below the video in case you missed them.

I suggest watching this in full screen.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.
