NYC Mayor’s wife choses ‘Drag Queens’ for Statues over Saints

The real heroines for de Blasio’s wife are drag queens and abortion rights activists. How many tax payer bucks are going to supposedly ‘equalize’ the number of male statues to female statues in the city? Who is going to create these statues since the mayor’s wife doesn’t have exactly a good track record. De Blasio’s wife and the case of missing 850 million in taxpayers money

She will make a wonderful first lady don’t you think?-

Chirlane McCray, the mayor’s wife, launched a “She Built NYC” program and invited the public to vote on the names of women they want the city to recognize with a statue. Mother Cabrini got more votes than any other woman (219), yet McCray’s panel rejected the public’s choice.

Mother Cabrini

Francesca Xavier Cabrini and other female icons were denied honorary statues after a group controlled by First Lady Chirlane McCray tossed out the revered Catholic sister in favor of more women of color and a drag queen-turned-LGBTQ activist.

She was America’s first saint, a tireless advocate who founded an upstate orphanage, a school for girls in Washington Heights and 67 organizations for the needy in the late 1880s.
But she wasn’t good enough to be named one of New York’s seven most important women.

This despite Cabrini getting the most votes in a poll of New Yorkers on who should be included.

Also denied were poll leaders Emily Warren Roebling, who led the completion of the Brooklyn Bridge, and Manhattan Music School founder Janet Schenck.

Instead, they selected abortion rights activist Dr. Helen Rodriguez Trías and drag queens Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson, among others, making clear what their criteria were.

The reaction from New Yorkers has been predictably swift and fierce.

    Please answer me this:

If it is an insult agaist Blacks for a White or Latino to wear black face, why isn’t it an insult against women for a man to “dress in drag?”

Wait a minute! Let me see if I have this right. In an attempt to equalize the number of men and women statues they are going to put up statues of men dressed as women?! Is it just me…

You know, this entire topic has nothing whatever to do with “inclusion.” It is, rather, a showcase for people who never learned how to become decent, normal human beings or how to positively influence younger generations. Highlighting the decadent (under) side of society has everything to do with destroying American traditions, reinventing history, and dragging our children and grandchildren through their leftist debauchery. Of course, these morons are entitled to their opinions —but it is up to civilized people to push back and declare “we will not stand for this.” They can certainly decorate their homes with human filth if they so choose, but they should not, and must not, be able to do that for the American mainstream.

I share the same thought… as I added a link to a previous post how Johnny Cash was moving into Statutory hall to replace a Civil War hero I thought how much lower could we go? Apparently there is not a bottom to this decadent road we are on. Well said Mustang as only you can say it… Worthy of a post…..
I might add, it was done as well to increase our division.. of course this would rile up good people.. Let us up we have an awakening in the truest sense of the word.

“SHE built NY?” Are those women pictured dangling from REALLY high scaffolds over bridges and hanging off buildings? How many women were mayors of NYC? (none) Why can’t it just be “WE BUILT NY?”
I guess we have to discard ALL of history and just buy into the Lib Lies because we’re getting nowhere trying to resist.

    “Statutes”?? Is this writer home-schooled?
How about your copyreaders and proofreaders?

OOOH! So funny! Sometimes it’s easiest to criticize grammar so we can ignore the truth. I’ve had that from liberals at my site, too. Conservatives just grasp the point and keep going, understanding that mistakes do happen (something leftwingers can’t abide with, ever noticed that? Got to have legislation against human nature?!!!)
I know so many home schoolers heading on to Harvard, Columbia, Michigan State, and other excellent universities, I can’t address your kind of silly remark…..
but I will say I don’t know any blogger who needs copyreaders or proofreaders for Bunkerville.
Try it! Stop criticizing and pay attention to the post…..if the facts are too difficult to digest, stop and try… teaches us!

Here’s an idea for George 227. How about pissing off? Or perhaps even starting his (or her) own blog that no one will visit.

Gorge would have to get focus on the topic and add something of merit… of course he is still living in his parent’s basement. Did I spell his name wrong???

Ducky at AOW’s did this exact same thing……clung nastily to a grammatical or spelling mistake or the ONE THING that might be incorrect in a 20 lined comment……a ‘clever’ but kind finally transparent way of avoiding TRUTH.

I am always up to a good debate…unfortunately I have yet to have someone from another point of view willing to have an honest discussion here. Instead just try and be disruptive. Sad that is all they have the capacity for.. Just shallow people.

So far so good and it keeps happening….. just waiting…waiting…. I worry that our and NYC police departs may give up before it happens.

I sure hope so…Not sure a Giuiliani could get elected again. HOWEVER…things have become SO bad in Democrat-run cities, maybe that’s the reason for the problems….TO GET BACK TO COMMON SENSE, AMERICA-FIRST, PEOPLE-BEFORE ANIMALS LEADERS? I can GUARANTEE you LA’s mayor could NEVER get reelected….because of the mess in Skid Row.

As a resident of the NY/NJ Metro area I would expect nothing less from de Blasio’s Pygmy wife. Besides any man woman or X whose disposal of hundreds of millions in taxpayers dollars hardly raises an eyebrow deserves a statue of her own erected next to the Wall Street bull.
