Michelle Obama’s Chief of Staff Tchen refuses Subpoena in Smollett Case

This looks like the typical Chicago collection of best pals. What do Michelle Obama, Tina Tchen, George Soros, Kim Foxx and Jussie Smollett have in common?

Nothing that money can’t buy apparently. Yesterday a Chicago judge ordered the court records regarding the sealed Smollett records unsealed.

Who was behind this idea of transferring to the FBI and why did whoever think this would work better than a Chicago investigation? Not known as the bastion of honesty. What is it she doesn’t want to tell? Does she really think she can avoid a Subpoena?

Let’s take a look. The fun begins.

Chicago attorney Tina Tchen — who was in contact with Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx before the charges were dropped against former “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett — refused to be served with a subpoena on Wednesday, according to the process server.

Tchen, who previously served as former First Lady Michelle Obama’s chief of staff, refused to accept a subpoena that was issued by former Illinois Appellate Judge Sheila O’Brien.

O’Brien is petitioning for the appointment of a special prosecutor to look into the state’s attorney’s office’s handling of the Smollett case. She is calling for Tchen to attend a May 31 hearing at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse and bring with her copies of “any and all documents, notes, phone records, texts, tape recordings made or received at any time, concerning [Tchen’s] conversations with Kim Foxx in re: Jussie Smollett.”

Edward Ryan, who operates a private investigation firm in the southwest suburbs, said one of his process servers went to Tchen’s law firm in River North on Wednesday, but she refused to come to the lobby to accept the subpoena.

Ryan said the security guard in the building’s lobby would not let the process server upstairs. The guard called Tchen in her office and “she said she knew about” the subpoena, but refused to come down.

Enter one Tina Tchen:

Tina Tchen and Michelle Obama

She’s a close pal of Obama consigliere Valerie Jarrett and a longtime bagwoman for Illinois Democrats. Tchen headed up the “Office of Public Engagement,” a murky outfit overseen by Jarrett that, among other things, had its hands in the Obama’s failed Chicago Crony-lympics bid and was in the middle of Obama administration efforts to recruit artists to advance their political agenda.

Pointed out in November 2009 that Tchen, a high-powered campaign finance bundler for Team Obama who personally raised more than $200,000 while a lawyer at Skadden Arps, is listed in White House visitor logs as having met there with none other than…  George Soros.

Enter one George Soros:

George Soros Spent $408k on Prosecutor in Jussie Smollett Case

George Soros

But Kim Foxx has also found two other sources of cash, in the form of twin $300,000 donations to a Super PAC supporting her called Illinois Safety & Justice. The sole donors to the PAC are neoliberal superdonor and conservative-boogeyman George Soros and a “dark-money” group called Civic Participation Action Fund. A Super PAC is a fundraising group, created by the 2010 Supreme Court Citizens United decision, that can raise as much money as they want for any candidate or cause—as long as they don’t coordinate on any level with political campaigns, which have much smaller campaign limits.

Other than this, all is well in the swamp.

Eventually, swamps start to SMELL and this one is STINKING worse and worser! (you may quote my excellent English!)

Funny, years ago, when it was becoming obvious that Soros is running the Left in this country, we conservative bloggers would complain and BAMMO! leftwing commenters would always respond with ‘WHAT ABOUT THE KOCH BROTHERS?’ as if they were the equivalent from our side. What a joke. Of course, now the Kochs are pulling more and more away from Trump and republicans but they’re doing some GREAT stuff on their own….BUT, they NEVER EVER tainted the Republican scene like THIS SOROS HATEFUL MONSTER!

The problem with all the good info in your post is this stuff usually goes NOWHERE because the Left has everyone covering up. Till we stop that, we’re not American anymore. By the way, how could a doctored video of Pelosi come out and nobody expected to get busted? How horrible! THIS is the type of thing STUPID REPUBLICANS do to destroy our cause.

Great comments here today. Point made if this had been a GOPer, her office would have been raided with a swat team and trigger finger at the ready… Still waiting for it to make the news…

a few minutes after FOX told us Trump had told AG Barr to declassify the info regarding spying on his campaign, I started turning to CNN to see what they are saying. They are saying nothing. I don’t believe they have yet. Doesn’t suit them…….That’s probably what will happen with all of these things Conservatives get excited about “WE FINALLY GOT THEM NOW…WHO CAN DENY THIS?” ……….and gone. Dead on arrival. Every single time. I used to say “If you want an important subject that makes the Left look bad disappear, have Republican Darry Issa hold a hearing, let him get all the dirt on them out……….and it’ll disappear!” 🙂 SO sad.

There was a AP story on Drudge this morning. Mentioned “his investigation” like before they did about “his wall”, not OUR wall. Also said purpose was to “undermine” the Mueller findings. Oh yeah, he’s going to undermine the NO collusion and NO prosecutable obstruction findings.
No, don’t give me a break. Might be my neck or back. 🙂

Remember, it was Houston’s George Soros District Attorney, Kim Ogg who would not indict 17-year-old criminals for anything but littering when they threw a gun out of their escaping car (even though they confessed twice on camera).

We can easily imagine the 24/7 media coverage of a Republican or Right-leaning figure avoiding a process server. Kind of like the coverage the morning of Roger Stone’s arrest.

Who would have thought that someone connected to the Obama administration, Chicago government, and the Muslim Brotherhood would be able to just refuse subpoenas? Do former presidents also have executive privilege that flows off their shoulders to their staffs?

This is front page news, isn’t it? Just like when Trump’s fixer got served — surely we will be hearing about this for a few days and then WHAM this lawyer will be raided and the lawyer-client privilege will go out the window again! I will be holding my breath for the NYTwits to put this on the first page.

Come on now, I am already turning blue!

Good analysis Mark One… right and they will take all of her records and boxes and boxes out the door…. not worth holding your breath… it will be buried on page 39

I’m no expert, but have been served. The “process server” was a deputy sheriff sent by a judge, not one sent by a P.I. Unlike the lady, I hadn’t been notified he was on his way. I wasn’t in an office building with a security guard either. But I don’t think the security guard could’ve stopped the deputy doing his duty.
Things work different in different places, I guess. Like Chicago. 🙂

Better yet, this has yet to crack the news other than Chicago that I can find… I would think a major news story.. So now the media crawls into bed with Soros… and that is what this is about. Can’t turn off the sigot can we?
