Obama separated 72,410 children from their illegal immigrant parents

Of course you will never see this in the MSM. Of course not. One can only wonder after this kerfuffle dies down, what more does the Left have at the ready to energize their base? It’s amazing isn’t it. Just as the IG report and hearings were happening, this just rose to the top of the food chain news by the media. In perfect lock step. I will add the legal justification, or lack thereof of AG Eric Holder on the taking of the Gonzalez child at gunpoint to return him to Cuba.

AG Holder doing a little deporting of a child

In 2013 Barack Obama separated 72,410 children from their illegal immigrant parents who were deported.

The Huffington Post reported:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement last year carried out more than 72,000 deportations of parents who said they had U.S.-born children, according to reports to Congress obtained Wednesday by The Huffington Post.

The reports were sent by ICE in April to the Senate Appropriations Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee, as required by law. ICE confirmed the authenticity of the two reports, which lay out 72,410 removals of immigrants who said they had one or more U.S.-born children in 2013.

The reports show that even parents of U.S. citizens are among the hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants being expelled from the United States each year…

… When a parent is deported, their U.S.-born children sometimes leave with them. But some stay in the U.S. with another parent or family member. Some children end up in U.S. foster care. H/T: Gateway Pundit

I give you this flash back:

Eric Holder dispensed with Elian Gonzalez, not so much our new ‘refugees’

……Even as the mace dispersed and Elian’s legal custodians sought medical help for their injuries, Fox News’ Andrew Napolitano already had Eric Holder’s number:

“Tell me, Mr. Holder,” Napolitano asked on April 23, 2000, “why did you not get a court order authorizing you to go in and get the boy (Elian Gonzalez)?”

Holder: Because we didn’t need a court order. INS can do this on its own.

Napolitano: You know that a court order would have given you the cloak of respectability to seize the boy?

Holder: We didn’t need an order.

Napolitano: Then why did you ask the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals for such an order if you didn’t need one?

Holder: [Silence]

Napolitano: The fact is, for the first time in history you have taken a child from his residence at gunpoint to enforce your custody position, even though you did not have an order authorizing it. When is the last time a boy, a child, was taken at the point of a gun without an order of a judge? Unprecedented in American history.

Holder: He was not taken at the point of a gun.

Napolitano: We have a photograph showing he was taken at the point of a gun.

Holder: They were armed agents who went in there who acted very sensitively…

The nature of this “sensitivity” I’ve already mentioned, including the number injured by the mace, gun-butts, and jackboots. Thanks to the ritual MSM-Castroite collusion, most people forget (or missed) the crucial legal and ethical details of the Elian circus/tragedy — which were mostly established during the first week after the boy’s rescue at sea, after his mother’s drowning.

The media didn’t care about the story when it was Obama in charge and they only care about it now because it provided cover for the IG report. Now that the IG report is out and not covered interest in this story will die down and as you alluded to the Democrats will ready the next story for the next subject that needs cover.

Holder’s replies to Napolitano a great example of the same standards being interpreted differently based solely on political party affiliation. No different than “it depends on what your definition of ‘is’ is.”

I hate to rain on anyone’s parade but an “illegal” child is still not entitled to be in the USA. The only thing that tighten’s my jib is that by criticizing the present administration, the communists in this country (e.g., Democrats) are applying a double standard.

My point is that either we are a Nations of laws or we are not. It does tighten my jib because as I commented over at Always on Watch…. something is missing in our mental computations.. We no longer are making babies to sustain our culture…. and now like the cowbird whose mother plants her egg in another’s nest to hatch, once the cowbird baby “comes of age” throws the mother bird’s babies out of the nest and kills them. So we allow the media to continue this mismatch of the truth as we slide into oblivion. Allowing the Cowbirds (Muslims) into our nest.

Trump et al needs to develop the predicate as to why he is doing what he is doing first…On Friday he has the parents of kids who were murdered by these so called immigrants..But it was a late Friday..He should have pushed the narrative first before Sessions comes out all blustery and got everyone’s knickers in a knot.

Exactly right. Every story of Obama’s guilt in all of this is quickly silenced. Kids could only stay 20 days in custody…so, they came in with parents, and EVERYBODY, the whole FAMILY, was released after the 20 days. And now a few of them are doing our gardening and house cleaning…under the radar of the law. THIS is a big reason Trump stopped that…..why doesn’t he articulate that every time he speaks? Another Trump rally tonight!!! Is he still running?? 🙂

Very interesting – and maddening, frustrating – read. It’s about obama causing this illegal alien mess at the southern border. Timeline starts in May 2011 when obama goes to the Rio Grande section of the border.

I really, really encourage people to read it. Won’t take long. Talks about unseemly amounts of money being made by elected officials of both parties, businesses, religious orgs., and lawyers through illegal alien and refugee resettlement programs. It’s disgusting.

This is what President Trump and we are up against — all of D.C., much of big business, and religious orgs. All because they are making so much money off of these illegal aliens and refugees. Each illegal alien child is worth about $56,000 in grant money — each child.

I know!! Yep, ALWAYS anti-Trump. It’s sickening. And sad part is … history books will have Pres O as one of the world’s best. Remember his Nobel prize? Good grief. Another ‘black’ mark in history. And no pun intended
